I'm still trying to get back organized from our NYE WDW trip!

Guess soon I'll need to start thinking about our cruise!

Our family will be on our first cruise ever with this trip. We are HUGE WDW fans and have been there done that too many times to list. We are a family of 4, myself, DH, DD 12 and DS 10. My dd is very worried about meeting girls her age on the cruise. Our travel buddies have boys.

Are there any other 12 girls sailing? If so let us know!!!!

Fellow attorney in my office returns today after disembarking from his first cruise, the 4 night wonder that got back yesterday, so I wore my Castaway Cay polo shirt to debrief him over lunch. And have other colleagues booked for March, April and then May 13th, just before our cruise, all on the 4 night Wonders. Must be contagious--or my preaching is getting through.

Re: most of this thread being about the shuttle, maybe its just me (and apparently it is!!) but I just like having my car right where I can walk to it, so I prefer not to have to deal with a shuttle and I'll pay the $12 a day, and I stay at a nice, clean Hampton Inn 20 minutes away in Titusville the night before and the net cost is about the same as if I did the shuttle by the Port hotel routine. Last time I took a Disney cruise, I was in my car, full tank of gas, pulling out of the lot at 8:06 a.m., and facing a 500 miles or so drive to Atlanta the earlier start the better (still not too bad was an 8:30 exit from the parking garage from the Sovereign of the Seas at Port Canaveral on the 5th, 3 weeks ago today, and got home 4:15 p.m. including stops). We do dinner the night before at Dixie Crossroads, off exit 220 from I-95. Had dinner there Jan. 1st the night before the Sovereign--skip the shrimp, honestly, go directly for the crab legs.

Sign of obsession--thanks to Ebay, I now have 4 different DCL polo shirts, one for each dinner on the Wonder....

This thread has been silet for a while. How is everyone's planning going? I just bought a new swimsuit for our cruise on Land's End.com. It was only $19.99. I can't believe we are only a few months away.

Wow! That is a deal. I buy all my swimsuits from Lands End. I guess I need to go check that out!
I haven't done any planning. Nada.

I'm also in a sour mood. I'm serving jury duty this week and both my girls decided to get sick. One has a cold and the other has double ear infections and strep.

Hello, I am trying to become motivated to plan. I am ready for sunshine, water, sand, Mickey, Minnie, smiling faces and last but not least wellness from our "cold" we all seem to be passing back and forth! I too always wear Land's End, I will check out the overstocks right now.

Does anyone know of other girls age 12 that will be on the ship? I tried to corespond with earstoyou, but I believe she is the one that said she had signed in on the wrong thread and was not on the 27th cruise for May. I am trying to hear back from Disney44. I think she has a daughter 14 that might like my DD12.

Any help would be great!!!!

DH (Tom) and I (Michele) along with 4 of our kids are going to be on the Wonder 4 day cruise May 27, 07. It's our first cruise and we are getting so excited. We're meeting up with my mom, my aunt, my 2 sisters and their hubbys and kids on this cruise too. All together there will be 16 of us. My sisters and my mom have cruised with Disney before.

Erica is 17 and Nick is 14. Our other sister and BIL have 2 children. They are a 19 month old boy and a 6 year old girl. Our mother and dear aunt will be cruising with us also. They brought their husbands along on our first DCL cruise in 2001 and their men decided to pass this time.

We haven't booked a room yet but we are all going to the Pirates Dinner Adventure on Saturday night so we won't be staying at the port. We'll just get up early Sunday morning and drive in.

My son is 12 and plays on 2 basketball teams! Actually my dd (14) will plays as well. I'm getting excited...the only concern I have is I still have to tell my dd school...once thats done, I'll feel better!

No, Nick is more of the video game/computer nerd type. He plays sports (baseball, basketball and such)at home with the family and cousins but isn't likely to join in on the cruise. He's more likely to spend all his time in the teen club listening to music.
