Hello,

We'll be cruising with you in May and can't wait!! There are 3 of us in our family. JP, Jenn and DD (9) Braelyn. We're also interested in the FE exchange. We did it on our last cruise and it was a lot of fun. Now I need to get a ticker to countdown for us!!!

We are sailing with you all! My MIL gifted us this trip for Christmas so it's Me35, DH37, DD6, MIL65, and my BIL's family of 5 (kids ages 10,11,16). This is our first Disney Cruise! Cannot wait. We have been to WDW 4 times in the past 2 years. I got a little addicted after our first trip in Sept '09

I cannot wait to decorate our door. I'm holding out on joining the FE exchange b/c I'm not sure what type of gifts/trinkets are given and how many we are supposed to bring although it sounds like so much fun! Can someone point me to a thread explaining ideas or just walk me through it. I have a very vague idea of what goes into this but would love more specifics so I can make my decision. I really hope it's something I can swing bc it looks so fun.

Welcome aboard!!!!!! Chances are if you are addicted to WDW, you will soon be addicted to DCL.

I highly suggest joining the FE exchange, it is a blast! Half the fun is trying to deliver gifts without getting busted. Sort of a Mission Impossible thing. The kids (and adults) also get a big kick out of returning to a room and finding all kinds of booty.

Thanks, j2bmickey! I'm researching, researching, researching. One of the big reasons I haven't signed up yet is because I need to tell my SIL, etc about it since they have 3 kids too. They have no clue about FEs, etc so it will take some time to explain. Hopefully they'll want to do it too

One question about FE exchange, once I have a list do I bring one gift per person or one gift per person per night (5). So far just my daughter and I are going, DH has to work and our 17 year old son is not interested in going . We will try and change his mind!

Some people do 1 gift per person in the room, and may personalize or gear the individual gifts to the ages of the kids, genders of the adults, etc. Others do a bigger gift or general gift 1 per stateroom instead of 1 per person. Its really up to you what you decide, just like some buy gifts, some make them.

Once you have 10 posts, you can PM me your information for the FE exchange, I'm in charge of the signup. Need your names of adults, names/gender/age of kids, family name (ie- The Smith Family), hometown, stateroom (when you get it), and if you have a preferred day to deliver gifts or no preference. Hi everyone,

Joining the discussion and looking forward to joining the FE exchange, too! I will PM you, Nicole, with the necessary info.

Our group is myself, my husband Mike, and my son Fletcher, who is 6. We're from Newnan, GA, which is outside of Atlanta. We have done two other Disney cruises, but this will be our first time on the Dream and we are looking forward to seeing the new ship!

Our most recent cruise was a 7-nt. Mexican Riviera cruise last February, which was great, but we're so looking forward to going back to Castaway Cay. Our first cruise was a 3-nighter on the Wonder in '09, and we LOVED Castaway Cay, so we chose this cruise b/c we get to go there twice!

The MR cruise was our first time doing the FE thing, and my son loved it--he was so excited to come back to our room and see if there were gifts in our "Fish Thing."

We're really starting to get excited now that we're getting close to the 3 month mark!

Just got off the 4 night Dream this morning, what an amazing trip. The ship was breathtaking and even better than I had imagined. This was a solo trip so it was a bit lonely at times but overall I had a great time, met very nice people and enjoyed all of the adult areas and nightlife. I am so excited for my parents to be able to experience it with me on this cruise in just over 3 months! I am officially Gold castaway now. I was able to get Remy and Palo dinner reservations but not Palo brunch, they were all booked up. I really hope some more open up before sailing, I'll check daily because I HATE having to book onboard on embarkation day, there is always a long line and the cast members seem to be very incompetent/inefficient with getting the reservations done there in person. We shall see. Hope everyone else is able to get what they want as well!

Very glad to hear that you enjoyed the ship so much. I can't wait to see the Dream for myself! We'd really like to do Palo brunch as well so I am also hoping that some spots open up! We're only Silver level so we can't book that yet.

Hi Double Dippers,

Stopping in to introduce ourselves...myself, Mary, DH, Tom and our 15 y GrD Haylye. It is Haylye's first cruise and we are excited to share it with her.

We have cruised the Panama Canal, Transatlantic, West Coast relocation, and Alaska with Disney before, but love Castaway, thus, the double dip!

Can't wait to see the Dream, hope May 27th comes quickly!

Oh Happy Day....just paid the balance on our May 27th cruise. It now seems much closer to our cruising date. Im not sure, who is more excited, our kids or grandkids (or maybe just me!!) Working on my FE gifts already, but still need ideas for the boys. Guess I will go over to the FE gifts thread and see if something clicks. Hope you all are getting excited. It will be here before we know it!

Could someone who is of a higher "status" than this first-timer, please let me know if Palo and Remy are all booked up. DH and I really, really want to do Remy for our 10 year anniversary and I'm worried it'll be filled already. We don't get to book online stuff until March 13th.

I know you can also try to book onboard but my Type-A self likes having everything squared away in advance.
