Has anyone been on the Submarine tours in either Mexico or Grand Cayman? We thought that might be a fun way to see lots of underwater animals. What are some other favorite excursions that you all would recommend?

Since this is only our second DC (our first was on the Wonder in 2010) are there anythings on this new ship that we should make a point not to miss...or things that we may need to sign up early for?

My husband did one of the submarine tours in Grand Canyon but it was the small sub that went to I think 1000 feet. He saw very little in the way of animals.

We have scuba dived and snorkeled in both Grand Cayman And Cozumel and we have seen lots of underwater animals in both. My DD loved the snorkel in GC when she was little because they fed the fish something that brought them in.

10% off booking. the deposit on the cruise is lower. Not sure if you get a higher OBC..(on board credit.)

and the more cruises you have sailed, the more OBC you receive.

Since this will be our first cruise ever we will see if we like it before we book. If the answer is yes we will certainly book.

Absolutely!! I am actually planning on booking 2 dummy dates. That way I have options. We would have cruised this year had I done that on our cruise in September.

You do get a higher OBC when booking on board versus booking after. We have a $200 OBC by booking onboard. I am not sure, but I think if you book after it is $25.

Hello! Super excited for this trip.

I tried to send a message about the Fish Extender and the lanyards but I haven't made enough posts for a private message. I guess I do that later.

I'd like a little more info about the fish extender list. I think I've got the idea of the fish extender. I get the kids some little trinkets and they can go aroung the ship and put them in the extenders for other people right? Will you email a list of other people participating before we leave?

As for the lanyards how do we pay for our order?

I also found on ETSY custom made fish extenders and embroidered pillow cases for autographs. Super cute.

I'd like some packing recommendations for attire. My daughter is turning 3 on the ship and my son is going to be 8. Is there a formal night? Will my hubby need a suit? Sorry for so many questions. Thank You in advance.

It can be little trinkets, homemade bookmarks, water bottles, there is a great thread on the cruise line thread about FEs. I will send out an email to all of those participating. A suit? entirely up to you. Dh wore a shirt and tie last time, no jacket. My son who was 7 last year, wore dockers, and a white dress shirt, the tie didnt last too long. ( on a 7 day there is a formal and semi formal nite.)

Glad you have joined us. Time and posting will get your numbers up to where you can PM.
I have always done the no-sew FE's and have enjoyed them. There are some great directions on one of the thread's.
For formal night on our last cruise my husband wore a tie and vest, but not a full suit. His pants were a dress black knit jean. Since he hates ties, he did this only for my DM and me. I told him he would only have to wear it on our cruises. But our 4 night cruise before he just wore a very nice shirt and the dress jeans. Go with what he is comfortable in.

Hey Everyone, sorry I have not been able to provide this update in some time... I got a promotion at work in July and the last month and a half has been crazy with making the transition.

Looking into how to do the payments for the lanyards has long been on my to do list, but it keeps getting pushed down the list due to work...

Anyhoo... It looks like what I am going to need to do is send everyone an invoice from Paypal if you would like to pay that way or I can email my address so you can send checks. Either way I will need personal emails from everyone who would like to purchase the lanyards.

We currently have 36 ppl interested in the lanyards, we will need order 100 (that seems to be lanyard labs minimum). If everyone wants to wait until January and see how many people we have signed up before we do payments we can do that. I would like to order the lanyards by April 1st so that we can have we have a little bit of a buffer and making sure they get shipped in time.

Let me know how you feel about this!!

Also I will get the roll call updated this weekend.
