It's DD's combo 18th B'Day, Christmas and Highschool Graduation gift! Hopefully bringing along DH and DS too. It's a long way away, but decided to book early and sit back and discuss/plan for months.

:dance3:

That's a lot of reasons to celebrate!! Looking at the prices I am really glad that I booked when I did, and now it's all about the planning!!

I know it is quite a long way yet. It just means I have that much time to be excited and to look forward to it! :rotfl::lmao: DH says that he thinks I am more excited than the DDs.

:lmao: me too,

This sounds a lot like our experience. We had a very bad 1st cruise experience with Carnival. (It was a gift so we went, but have been trying to block it out ever since) When I wanted to book with Disney the whole family fought me on going for 7 nights so we did the 4 night instead. Then they complained when it was time to get off.

We practically had to drag our son out of the kids club for dinner, but family dinner was our rule too. We did let him miss one show to meet back with a friend he'd made in the club. Our daughter didn't mind leaving the club because there were such interesting things going on around the ship. We really liked the animation and towel folding classes and she loved the Bingo. Perhaps your DD12 & my DD13 will meet in the tween club or could chat before the cruise.

That sounds great. PM me and we can set that up. I think my DD would like to know there will be someone in the club that she knows.:wave2:

We decided to go with two cabins in hopes that all four of us can make it and knowing that four grown folks in one cabin for seven nights would be crazy (privacy is another plus).

Able to book onboard and saved some. Booked a Cat10 Fwd on deck7 next to a Cat9A corner room. If we only end up needing one cabin it will be hard to decide which one. I'm really hoping the virtual porthole is as cool as it sounds. Those inside cabins are now more expensive than outside - incredible.

Remy for three of us (DS will be 15) will cost $225! There goes the Onboard Ship Credit - lol.

I love pulling up my reservations and noting the days til we cruise...

So I have given up my Sunday paper ritual to read TR to pass the time until it's cruise time. Right now there are 3 or 4 Western's going from this past Halloween :cool1:

Sooo I was wondering what is everyone else doing to pass the time???

I was wondering if anyone was interested in doing a Facebook group for our cruise??

We booked last month and I'm hoping that we will be able to go. I would be interested in a facebook page as long as we make it private :thumbsup2

When I just created the facebook group I realized we don't have a name , so does anyone have any suggestions???

I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday!!

Thanks! I hope you did too :)

We got our first white Christmas in 3 years :goodvibes !! Last two winters had plenty of snow, just not on the actual xmas day....so they were muddy holidays. This year was perfect. It started dumping down snow on the 24th so that Christmas AM had over 6 inches of gorgeous powder everywhere. It continued to snow all xmas day...it was really lovely. We went sledding in the afternoon and walked everywhere, no driving.

:goodvibes So happy to hear we were not the only ones who got snow :rotfl2: I am in Georgia and the last time it snowed on Christmas Day was in 1882 so it was an amazing day for us. We had snowball fight, built a snowman and just had to much fun. We also went sledding the next day  We only got about 2", but for us that's alot.

Now that the Holidays are over I have to start back with my eating right. I have eaten so many cookies, cakes, pies and just general junk that my body (and my jeans :lmao:) are starting to yell at me.

We are booked on this cruise too. :)

:cool1:

:welcome: Another cruisemate!!

We just got back from the 7 night Eastern Caribbean NYE cruise on the Wonder and we booked the May 26 Western our last night on board.

It will be our 3rd cruise and this one will be just my DH and myself since it will be our 28th anniversary cruise. Our anniversary is May 26 and I told my husband I wanted another anniversary cruise for us. Our first cruise was also an anniversary cruise - a 4 night on the Wonder - we actually invited my mother to join us on that one since she had fought with cancer for over a year and at the time was in remission. The NYE cruise was for DH, me, DD and DM.

I look forward to the planning and getting to know everyone as we count down the days til this next cruise.

I meant to mention that we got to see the Dream when we came back into the port. She was awesome!!

:welcome: twokats, I am so envious of an "adults" only vacation. I don't even think I would know where to begin if I was planning a trip for just DH and I, it has been that long.

I am completely trapped at home today, we got 6 inches of snow last night here in Atlanta. We have had so much snow here this year :confused3 I have been reading all about Grand Cayman excursions, just imagining white sandy beaches and warm sun.

Just a reminder I did start a Facebook page that is closed so it is completely private, the link is in the first post for anyone who is interested.

I hope everyone is staying nice and warm this winter. Only 1 more to go and we will be cruising.

We are snowed in today too! When we moved the north I was thrilled at the thought of no snow! Mother Nature certainly has a sense of humor!:rotfl2:

We love Grand Cayman! last night we just went to Jimmy Buffets and had margaritas and let Nat play on the water slide! ( Jr and Gabby didnt want to leave the ship).

I am thinking of the stingray adventure!! we did the dolphin encounter in Cozumel and that was sooo much fun!!

I can not believe the amount of snow we have had this year. My corporate office is in Lancaster, PA and all of them have been laughing at the fact that we have had more snow then they have this year. This is crazy...

We are looking at the Stingray City tours as well. The only thing is most of the tours seems to leave around 9:30am and we don't dock (or anchor rather, I guess that whats you do when you have to tender) until 10am. The only thing I have really come across is doing a private charter.

I really want to spend some time at Margaritaville while we are there, we love buffet and that one just looks incredible with the water slides on the rooftop.

We have already booked a private tour for Cozumel (obsessive I know) and I am very excited about that. None of the excursions included all the different things we want to see so this will be a nice way to see what we wanted to at our own pace.

Stingray city for sure! We loved it the first/last time we did Western, back in 2006 when DD was 6. She is going to be 12 by the time we make it there next, twice as old! Time flies.

I want to snorkel in Cozumel, DH will most likely want to dive. Most likely we will charter private so that we can stay together as a family.
