another no cheese person, this group may be the best group of people I have ever met in my life . Every time I mention I don't eat cheese I end up in a 10 minute conversation defending myself.

I did just read a review of Remy, while I am not crazy about the cheese course and would have nothing to do with eat, some of the other food did look quite good. I am just not sure if I could $75pp for it??

Good for you! I wish I didn't love cheese so, it is so bad for us. I gave up drinking cow's milk over a decade ago but I still have cheese from time to time as a splurge. I think the cheese here in Europe is very tasty!

:banana::banana: You have to let me know all about dinner at Cinderella's castle, we are doing that for Haley's birthday this June and I am so excited!!

Scott turned 13 on Saturday so I am right there with you on the TEEN thing!! I am apprehensive about it, though.

Have a great time! Safe travels down and back. Are you driving?

Yes we are driving... we should have had off school today... insert groan.. so we get to leave at 4... and fight Atlanta 75 traffic. :rotfl:

I am curious about dinner... we havent been there in years.. we did breakfast the last time....and the time we did do dinner... there were no Princesses. We did 1900 in Dec...and one of the step sister kissed Johns cheek.. he had no idea it was coming..and it freaked him out!! lol. so I am hoping no one wants to plant one on him this time... :)

We are looking forward to the cruise. Our daughter chose the cruise so we know she is excited too. We're already Disney fanatics and are going to Disney World twice before the cruise. It's a long flight from Washington state but well worth it.

LOL, that is too funny.. Here's to no "unwanted" smooches for John on your trip. Can't wait to hear about it when you get back

I love the fact that she chose the cruise. I have been trying to convince my SIL to book with us since we booked on board, but she is so afraid she won't have a good time. And now that the prices have gone up she is even more hesitant then before.

Just had dinner alfresco this evening for the first time this season!! Oh how happy I am that winter is almost over and Spring is almost here :cool1: Only 1 more winter to endure before we get to sail the Fantasy!

We booked last week while still on the Wonder. Traveling will be myself, DH, DD who will be 15 and DS who will be 11. This will be our 4th cruise, but the first time doing the Western Caribbean. Already looking forward to next May!

Hello fellow Washingtonian. We are in Monroe (just north east of Redmond/Bellevue) I agree, it's quite a hoof to go to Walt Disney World and the Florida cruises, but my family agrees that it has been worth it every time.

Hello Totallymickey, My son will be so happy to hear that there is an 11 year old boy on the cruise. So far there are a lot of girls. (which my 13 year old daughter is happy about)

Blake will be happy to hear this too! He has been talking about the friends that he made on the Wonder and was wondering if he would meet anyone on the Fantasy. Is your daughter 13 now or will be? My daughter didn't really go to the Edge on the Wonder because it was mostly 12-13 year old boys playing video games.

Hi Dawncala, Question for you. I know the cruise is a ways off, but do you take an overnight flight? or go the day before the cruise? We like to fly Alaska's red eye. get in at 7amish. We signed up for DCL transport.
What have you done in the past?

This is our first cruise so lots of questions.

My daugher will be 13 1/2 when we sail. Since she's so close to 14 she's hoping she can get into Vibe as well as Edge. That private pool area in Vibe looks awesome.

The only time we tried an overnight flight there were snowstorms in Denver and tornadoes in Dallas and we ended up missing the 1st 1/2 of the cruise. (It was a Carnival cruise gift from family and missing 1/2 turned out to be a blessing. It was terrible, especially for the kids.) That was in a December though. May should have better weather everywhere.

For our 1st Disney cruise we were already in Florida. We spent the first couple of days at WDW before the cruise. For the Fantasy cruise we will probably fly in the day before and stay at a hotel near the cruise terminal. I can never sleep on planes and want to be fresh and awake for day one of the cruise.

We will most likely rent a car one-way from the airport to the terminal and then another one-way back at the end. We took the DCL trasport from WDW to the terminal last time, and while it was nice to sit back and let them drive the car was much cheaper for our family of 4.

Love your user name :lovestruc. Does your daughter collect strawberries? DCL is totally worth the flight from WA!

verygfy, we are in Germany right now. The cheese is really good here, but is also tasty in all the parts of Europe we have traveled to while living here. Dairy goods and sweets are hard for me to resist!

Strawberry is her camp name. She works at the girl scout camp during the summer. Strawberrys are her favorite thing to eat, she collects all things strawberry. And she is a redhead too.

Europe is one of our must do's. Mitch and I have been dreaming of a trip to Europe forever, heck we have even gone so far as to plan a bunch of it. Once Haley is older we would like to go for 2 weeks, I am not comfortable with leaving her behind for that long.

I noticed you added a ticker for the Eastern Transatlantic, did you just book it? 8 glorious sea days, how wonderful!!

Gotta love the redheads!!

I actually had my eye on the 11 day Med. but DH can not get any of those dates off...he has too much going on at work. I was looking into "firesale" prices of other cruiselines too, trying to get over to Greece ect. Found great deals, but none that we could fit in datewise. The ONLY hole in his schedule were these two weeks in May, the only gap! So when DCL offered deals on this cruise I booked that day and invited MIL along for good measure! She isn't able to get around as well, these days, so a TA is perfect for her (not many port days). She is going to love all of these seadays with her grandkids and son. I booked her to come with us to my birthday brunch and DH's birthday dinner (both in Palo). Can you believe the TA falls over both of our birthdays?! Our bdays are 9 days apart but this is one looooong cruise. So this is sudden and exciting. I'll have the kids still do some school work on this cruise...history, book reports ect. But we are doing extra Math now so we can leave that behind :).

Gotta love the redheads!! :lovestruc yours is such a cutie!

Good morning!! :) Well we are back from our 4 day trip to Disney! :) We had a blast!! the parks were crowded on Sat and Sun, but we expected a lot worse!! We celebrated Gabbys 13th bday at Cinderellas castle on Monday... our dinner was great! it had been years since we ate there. (too bad the windows were covered.)

John is headed to the UK in March for business. ( he travels all the time overseas... he is Germany a few times a year.)

Happy belated birthday to your Gabby :cake:

Glad that your WDW vacation went well. It has been awhile since we ate in the castle as well...hmmm, DD may have been 4 the last time! She drifted away from the princess stuff and started loving Stitch more around the age of 6....sniff!

Germany is really cold right now. We went to Berlin for our 4 day weekend and froze our noses off. I loved their public transport, so easy, the trains and buses run often. We walked everywhere and saw so much.

Thank you!!

It is a very long long cruise, and how exciting that you get to do both birthdays on the ship!! We use to travel during the school year with our son, but now that he is in middle school it is getting a little tougher. He is the worst at studying (school comes very easy for him, so he doesn't have the best study habits) and bringing it along on the vacations usually makes for some tense moments. If the right deal came along I would definitely consider it though. Are you going to do a trip report??

Welcome Home!! Happy belated birthday Gabby! How bad was the construction in the MK? I have been tossing around holding off until next year for anything MK related. I really want to take Haley for her birthday this year, but with all of the construction I am kind of leaning towards after the cruise next year. And it will be the first time I have ever dined at the castle as well. Always tried to book the breakfast, but was never fast enough :sad2:
