May 26, 2010--5/26/2010 10 Night Mediterranean

Is anyone flying on Iberia and American Airlines to Barcelona?? Iberia's prices are dropping and I am considering their flights (they combine with AA).

Also, glad Sinnika's daughter came thru surgery without any problems!

Hey there. I was considering the lower flights with Iberia as well, but I am really really nervous about flying with them. I read a bunch of reviews about them and none of them were good, They all said that all of their flights are late, the planes are old and out dated and that the service is not friendly at all. http://www.airlinequality.com/Forum/iberia.htm This is the review site that I was on. Since we are flying in that day I am afriad if we are delayed we will miss the ship. I need the cheaper routes but I am just scared. I am also worried about AA as they were just given huge safety fines for knowingly not doing needed maintance to their planes. I am still weighing the options at this point too and I may have to go the Iberia route as well. If I do I hoe that all the people on that sight just had a bone to pick with the airline.

Thanks everyone for your prayers! Kaitlyn's surgery went very well. She now has 6 screws in her left hand. The surgeon said one of the bones was pretty shattered but everything looks good now and we are so grateful! Once Kaitlyn woke up after the hour drive home, she was back to her old self and said her IV site was more bothersome than her hand that had surgery. She's even contemplating school tomorrow but I want her to wait till at least Friday before she goes back.

Thanks again for all the well wishes from everyone! :grouphug:

Sorry I am a few days late seeing this, but I wanted to tell you how happy I am that she is doing well. It sounds like a lot.

I read the same type of things about Iberia- that's why I was questioning it myself!! I haven't made any decisions yet. I really want to take British Air but now they might have a cabin attendant strike!! Too much to consider and think about! I wish we had a bottomless pit of money so it wouldn't matter!!

We'll be leaving for Paris in exactly 3 months for our pre-cruise trip! It's getting closer! And our window for booking excursions is opening this week too! I hope to get Palo's dinner and tea, as well as a brunch ressie (in case we don't get the group dining). Still not sure what other things to book but the dining will get booked first! :goodvibes

I've got my calendar marked to make our ressies as well!

We just booked this cruise. I was on cruise critic and saw sinnika's link to these boards so I thought I'd pop over and say Hi. We have been on 4 crusies to the Med and usually do all the ports on our own. This will be our first Disney cruise but we have sailed with HAL, RCCL, Princess and Azamara. Last year we had one cruise end in Barcelona in May and we boarded one cruise in Barcelona in Sept. We are excited about going back to Barcelona as it is such a great city. We have been to half the ports on this cruise and it's great to get to go to some new ones.

Welcome!!!:welcome: I had a chance to see your Cinque Terre photos on CC and they are gorgeous! If we didn't already have our plans in place for Florence, we would def consider that. I also read over 2 of your med reports quickly. Looks like you're the most seasoned med cruiser for this cruise so don't be suprised if we ask you lots of questions! :goodvibes If you have any DCL questions, we've got lots of repeat DCL'ers that can answer questions for you!:thumbsup2

And we leave for London 3 months from today... sadly, we only have 1 night to spend in London :sad2:, then 2 nights to spend in Barcelona :cheer2:, and then onward to our wonderful cruise!

I think we get to book our Palo's reservations on Thursday. Hope there's some good times left!

I am not sure how to check on that:confused3 Do I have to click on every excusrions as if I wanted to book it to find out, or would it say on the main list if it were sold out? Nothing on the main list is saying it is unavailbale for our cruise.

Wanted to post and say Hi!
Feeling better but on steroids for my lungs and if everyone has ever been on them they arent fun! Hubby calls it "steroid hell" but at least he loves me no matter what!
We had a few days were we werent sure we would really be able to make this cruise but have decided to go ahead and things will just work out. We booked today with Delta and Air france with a total of under 5000 and thats going to and from Paris after. We were very surprised and happy we got that.
We also booked at the Hotel Novotel. I think we'll be doing alot of excursions on our own to save money.

So glad you are feeling better!:flower3: Glad you will be able to cruise too!

My DD just got a prescription this afternoon for a medrol pack for her swollen hand from the surgery. We'll start it tomorrow. She's never been on them before so I'll keep an eye out for the mood change! She had her first hand therapy appointment today and will need therapy for 12 weeks! :scared1: At least it should be over by the time we cruise! :cool1: Sutures come out Thurs. She already started her hand exercises on the way home in the car! She's def an overacheiver! :cheer2:
