Celeste - that sounds awful! How does marrow ooze? This can't be good, but extra to you!!!!

I think it oozes through little cracks in the exterior bone- I saw that, the tear, and the swelling on the MRI. I'm an ICU gal-quiz me on life and death stuff or things related to brain surgery. I never liked ortho- those guys use power tools and hammers and chisels in the OR. Freaks!! Plus nursing wise- I only have to say PIN CARE. You spend lots of time wiping around little pins with half peroxide- and then rewiping with bacitracian. So, So very boring.


Give me someone trying to die over that any day! To each his own.

I know someone asked a while back what day we were going to wear our cruise t-shirts...

Well that reminded me to order mine... and they just arrived today. I think it has offically sunk in that at this time in 7 days I will be on a plane to BCN.

I plan to wear mine our first day at sea (Sunday, 5/27) or possibly on Saturday, 5/26 for boarding.

Great fun today. Weather is warming up. We had a Dis halfway party yesterday evening. Tonight was the tropical deck party (postponed from last night due to wind and cold). Seas have calmed down.
Two more sea days to go before port!

I was just starting to type my response...No! DD called from school and wanted a folder she left for a class she had to teach to her classmates. I told her I couldn't come until the passports were here.

Then.....

I hear a truck.....I jump out of my seat.....torn between typing the message that the FedEx truck was here and going out to hug him....

So, I quickly signed for them (I haven't even opened them yet!), and came back to give the good news.

Thanks for the Pixie Dust! This did not fit into my OCPD life!

Now I feel like I'm really going on this trip

When we were in Italy, we never had issues because we always wore pants. However, I know this trip my boys will want to wear shorts. The are long shorts that cover most of their knees. Will they balk about this? If you think they might, it may be easier to have they were pants that day?

I wouldn't worry unless you are planning on going to a church or the Vatican. If you are, either bring those pants that zip off into shorts or carry a set of pants.

Good morning everyone - I have been traveling a lot for work, but have reading the postings anxiously. I do hope the passports arrive, and that folks get and stay healthy. Best of luck to all of those with family members needing surgery. Congratulations on the baby too! I almost forgot! We are so excited and can't wait until we leave. Airborne is great and ColdFX is also good too. We are starting on that this weekend. One more question for all you with small kids. Are you taking a car seat. DD is almost 6 and I am assuming that it will be difficult to take it on the excursions so I was thinking about leaving it home. What is the consensus?

No car seat here! Not even taking one for the drive to the airport. Just put your kid very close to the edge of the seat where the buckle is. This way the shoulder harness almost fits right.

No car seat for us either. Our airport limo here in the US is providing one for the trip to/from the airport. Our DS-2 has a kidsflysafe harness for the plane rides. We aren't worried because most of the transportation we will take is via bus or train which normally don't support car seat or booster.

Foot update-
Torn ligament and Bruised ankle bone-oozing marrow- I have to meet with an Orth-surg doc on Monday to see if I need surgery or not. BOOO HISSS
I have told my GP that I WILL be on the trip and that I WILL be scuba diving- he has no issues with that as long as my divemate will pull my sorry but out of the water because I won't be able to put my full weight on my right foot.

EWWW! I certainly hope that's not ortho's version of leaking CSF.

Keep us posted! that it heals all on it's own and quickly!

I have choice words about that comment that I cannot post here- I sure hope it isn't.
That is the most Disney approved phase I can use to express how I feel about that thought. The others will get me kicked off of the DIS.

Just a reminder/suggestion to al those packing -be sure and split your stuff up between two or more suitcases in case one does not make it with you. It will be so much nicer if everyone has a change of clothes in every suitcase rather than exclusively in one.

And Lauren is MUCH better. the ER doc and her pediatrician are stumped. She's fine and after ther ER asked for McDonalds. Must be ok.
She had a great day at school so I do think she's great.
