Nope, I believe it was Mari...??? I was just grossed out.

It wasn't me...but my D, gross, H. Trust me, he will NOT turn those #*%& things inside out.....my list for Target for Sat is more chonies(?SP) for him and me. If we have too many...oh well. Better than not enough.
Did I mention I fit all my clothes into one suitcase and it only weighs 41 lbs? Ms OCPD (p=packing) is getting into the swing of things!!!!:hippie: :thumbsup2

Excellent idea!
And Lauren is MUCH better. the ER doc and her pediatrician are stumped. She's fine and after ther ER asked for McDonalds. Must be ok.
She had a great day at school so I do think she's great.
Thank you all.

Ok, I am the patron saint of OCPD. Anyone need lessons? I will supervise for free. :goodvibes
Mari

That is great Mari - I have been thinking about you and Lauren all day. Let's hope she is over whatever it was.

I think it oozes through little cracks in the exterior bone- :confused3 I saw that, the tear, and the swelling on the MRI. I'm an ICU gal-quiz me on life and death stuff or things related to brain surgery. :rotfl: I never liked ortho- those guys use power tools and hammers and chisels in the OR. Freaks!! Plus nursing wise- I only have to say PIN CARE. :scared1: You spend lots of time wiping around little pins with half peroxide- and then rewiping with bacitracian. :headache: So, So very boring. :sad2:

Give me someone trying to die over that any day! :lmao: To each his own.

Ok, here's a suggestion. My neighbor is from India and they cure everything with tumeric and salt. She just twisted and sprained her ankle 2 weeks ago and the doc said it would take forever to heal. her mom made up a past of tumeric, salt and a bit of water, slathered it around her ankle and wrapped it with saran wrap. She doesn't even limp anymore. Worth a try. Being raised in the medical model (dad was a doc) and work in the medical model, I believe more and more in Eastern Medicine. I've seen it work way too many times without the side effects of Western Medicine. Just a thought!

I'm sure all the wonderful thoughts, pixie dust and prayers sure did help. Thanks for caring, Sandy. What a special group of people...makes me a little teary eyed....but once you get to know me, I'm Princess Leakyeyes. Nice to meet y'all.
Peace and blessings! Mari

OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!!

I was just starting to type my response...No! DD called from school and wanted a folder she left for a class she had to teach to her classmates. I told her I couldn't come until the passports were here.

Then.....:wizard:

I hear a truck.....I jump out of my seat.....torn between typing the message that the FedEx truck was here and going out to hug him....:rotfl2:

So, I quickly signed for them (I haven't even opened them yet!), and came back to give the good news.

Thanks for the Pixie Dust!:wizard: This did not fit into my OCPD life!:lmao:

Now I feel like I'm really going on this trip :woohoo:

Yeah, I'll do the "They took forever and finally arrived dance" with you

 :dance3:  :dance3:

Great news!!

Gas?? That can really, really hurt and comes and goes and the pain can radiate- and your colon does wrap all around your abdomen. :confused3 Who knows?? It's better to be safe, than sorry.

I am VERY, VERY Eastern friendly. I grew up in Utah and we love to mix the old with the new there. Have her send it over...I wouldn't know where to begin. I'm willing to try anything/everything. Wonder what the ratio is? (Did you see My Big Fat Greek Wedding??) I am REALLY ready to be done with this ankle thing- it's getting in the way of daily living and my earning abilities. (Tomorrow I get to send lots and lots of forms to work-so I will still have a job when I get back.)

Things from India I use: neti pot (no comments from the peanut gallery) and I can tread my eyebrows. I was planning on having hubby draw on me with henna prior to leaving as a tempory tattoo, but with everything going on, I probably won't have time.

Less than 5 days and we are heading to SPAIN!!!!!!! 8 til we are on the boat!

How did it sneak up this fast??

This weekend:
---Combine suitcases (DHs=34lbs, Mine=31lbs, DS=25lbs ... DS and I still have a bit of room so I can pack SOOO much more! I think I may sneak in his Mickey Mouse Blanket he sleeps with along with the 18 Lumpys. Of course we have the bag just of shoes, toiletries(including 2 rolls of SOFT TP), and an LARGE empty duffel packed inside. Oddly my carry-on is heavier than my suitcase! Between laptop and tons of books and toys for the tot for the flight... UGH!

----Find all the little "missing" items

---- Mow lawn

----Finish DIS Bon Voyage gifts

---- go over "animal care" with my Mom how will house-sit. (we have a 225gl saltwater reef tank and I am NERVOUS because we have never been away from it for more than 48 hours!!!!)

---Call airport limo and verify car seat one more time...hehe

*shiver* you guys are getting ANOTHER cold front??? WOW! Send it to Florida...along with rain...

Cugly...

My MIL is flying British Airways from Philly and we are flying British Airways from Barcelona to Gatwick before switching to Delta for the return flight home. I've read several places now that British Airways limits you to one bag at Gatwick & Heathrow. Does this mean that if you take a carry-on suitcase, that you need to pack your purse in your suitcase? Do I assume that a purse counts as a "bag"?

Marie

(oops - realized I've posted under my son's name again) MEB51

I travel to and through London frequently and yes you will have to pack your purse/fanny pack inside your carryon. You are only allowed one carryon not one carryon and a personal item.

Marie,

Go to British Airways site www.ba.com and they will tell you all the restrictions..not as many as before...and what you can take. 2 checked bags and one carryon....one....not one and a purse. So, just pack what you need in the carryon and forget the purse. I'm not even taking a purse...don't need it. And you're talking to a purse junky/addict!!
Finally I am beginning to think this is all real.....or will I wake up at the bottom of the rabbit hole and find Alice and that Cheshire cat!!!
Oh my gosh. I have 3 more days to work..today, Mon and Tues and we're off!:scared1: :yay: :cool1: Wow, unbelieveable.
Happy Friday everyone!
Mari
ps...and yes, they do think it is some kind of intestinal thing for Lauren...gas, or what ever....at least it was something simple.

I'll ask my neighbor about the ratio....I'll probably get a non-answer...you know, "until you think it's right"!!
Now , Can someone give me a hint as to any suggestions for the disboard gifts? I'm a moron. Please!!!:scared:

Thanks, Mari

6 DAYS!! 4work days and 1 weekend and I dont count the weekends!!

Where are you people that are getting frost and 45 degree weather?
Those type of things are figments of our imaginations in AZ!!

Have a great day everyone!!
One week until the BCN Fountains!!

Well, we leave in 6 days and still no documents. I finally broke down yesterday and called my TA who told me they were misrouted to a travel agency in Kansas (?????) and Disney had to reissue them. I should have them today or Saturday.

I also got a call from DCL 2 days ago informing me that the excursion we had booked fro Rome was cancelled so we will probably be going with the on-your- own group. What time were we planning on leaving and returning? Does anyone remember how much the train was going to cost?

Celeste:please try that Indian remedy so your foot can heal quickly....what a bummer!

Last night I had a weird, weird dream about being on the ship.......one of those kind that analysts would have a field day with. When i finally woke up I heaved a huge sigh of relief! I guess the stress of all I still have to do is weighing on me.

Thanks lllpath and Memarmay for your responses. I had read the BA restrictions before but I guess I has always assumed that they surely couldn't mean no purses.:rolleyes1 You're right, I should just leave my purse at home. I hadn't planned to use it in Europe anyway. (Had my wallet lifted from my purse while in France a long time ago.)

Male Disclaimer: Womanhood talk below ;)

So all you nurses out there and Eastern Remedy fans......

My "friend" is due to visit during the trip. Possibly twice..:scared1: :scared1: Is there anything I can do (other than birth control pill - I don't have any) to make my friend go away????

TFF huh? Well, ya know, I just don't want to deal with it. Otherwise, you might have to call me the pirate: wench...

Hi, just thought I would let you all know, I live in the UK and fly frequently on many UK airlines inc BA. It depends on how big your purse (handbag for us in the UK ) is. I have travelled many times with a carry on with all of the kids stuff to keep them occupied on the flight along with my handbag on my shoulder as it is not too big and at a push could have been shoved in the carryon. I have never been stopped yet.
