Well, we leave in 6 days and still no documents. I finally broke down yesterday and called my TA who told me they were misrouted to a travel agency in Kansas (?????) and Disney had to reissue them. I should have them today or Saturday.

I also got a call from DCL 2 days ago informing me that the excursion we had booked fro Rome was cancelled so we will probably be going with the on-your- own group. What time were we planning on leaving and returning? Does anyone remember how much the train was going to cost?

Celestelease try that Indian remedy so your foot can heal quickly....what a bummer!

Last night I had a weird, weird dream about being on the ship.......one of those kind that analysts would have a field day with. When i finally woke up I heaved a huge sigh of relief! I guess the stress of all I still have to do is weighing on me.

Go to British Airways site www.ba.com and they will tell you all the restrictions..not as many as before...and what you can take. 2 checked bags and one carryon....one....not one and a purse. So, just pack what you need in the carryon and forget the purse. I'm not even taking a purse...don't need it. And you're talking to a purse junky/addict!!
Finally I am beginning to think this is all real.....or will I wake up at the bottom of the rabbit hole and find Alice and that Cheshire cat!!!
Oh my gosh. I have 3 more days to work..today, Mon and Tues and we're off! Wow, unbelieveable.

I was just looking at ba.com and found this regarding purses..

Please also note. A handbag (purse) does count as one piece of hand baggage.

Now I'm confused! Did you talk to them about this? From what I'm reading you can take a carry on and a purse?? Where did you get your information? Thanks!

From what I understand/read/heard from BA, it's not necessarily flying BA it's that we are changing planes in London.... that's the kicker.

So if you are on BA from the US to Spain or someplace outside the UK, you are probably ok.

Also, from what I have gathered, as long as you can put your carryon (21" or less) above your head in the bin, you are ok with its weight.

As Mari said, go to the BA website and read carefully based on your travel itinerary.

It has been cold the last couple mornings in Chicago--I turned the heat on in the car yesterday morning! The weather in Spain looks really really good to me right about now.

On the matter of connecting through Heathrow: It was my experience last month that yes, indeed, if you are connecting through Heathrow, they only let you through with ONE carryon bag--period. And it has nothing to do with who you're flying--it's an airport regulation.

They enforced it strictly when I went connected there. My fellow travelers and I had to do some redistributing so that 2 of our party could stuff their 2nd bag/purse into their main bag. Someone else has said that their experience was that they are not so strict on this; I am just sharing my experience of traveling through Heathrow just 30 days ago, which was that people were absolutely not going to be let through with more than one bag.

If you have a purse in addition to a carry-on, just make sure you have enough room in the carry-on to stuff it in there, at least until you get through security. After that it is a non-issue.

Gas?? That can really, really hurt and comes and goes and the pain can radiate- and your colon does wrap all around your abdomen. Who knows?? It's better to be safe, than sorry.



I am VERY, VERY Eastern friendly. I grew up in Utah and we love to mix the old with the new there. Have her send it over...I wouldn't know where to begin. I'm willing to try anything/everything. Wonder what the ratio is? (Did you see My Big Fat Greek Wedding??) I am REALLY ready to be done with this ankle thing- it's getting in the way of daily living and my earning abilities. (Tomorrow I get to send lots and lots of forms to work-so I will still have a job when I get back.)


Things from India I use: neti pot (no comments from the peanut gallery) and I can tread my eyebrows. I was planning on having hubby draw on me with henna prior to leaving as a tempory tattoo, but with everything going on, I probably won't have time.

Wish I had a remedy for you other than birth control... I personally just changed mine up to avoid that very situation. I am on the quarterly cycle to boot via the "regular pill" rathan than the new one that is out. I love Eastern Medicine, but this old fashion Western one is doing the trick for me - for now anyway. It has been working wonders for my headaches I get with my "friend." Still bringing the migrane medicine just in case.

If you don't have access to birth control, I think you're out of luck. I don't have any options that aren't related to the above option. Twice in that short of of time frame- you might want to talk to your MD, unless that is normal for you.

I'll ask my neighbor about the ratio....I'll probably get a non-answer...you know, "until you think it's right"!!

I can imagine my foot and ankle being orange....and I wouldn't have any idea what the right consistency would be as I don't play with tumeric normally. Is is more salt or tumeric?

Gifts- don't worry about them with the packing restrictions, honestly! That is why I did name badges- I took the easy way out.

Where do you live. It doesn't say below your screen name. I got mine at whole foods. I believe you can also get them at drugstore.com If nothing else you can get isotonic saline mix at Walgreens and CVS- you mix the salt packet with water and use a squirt bottle thing to deliever it. I think the inital spray would put me into the "I'm going to drown mode"- but if nothing else, it is the same thing- just different delivery. look at sinusrinse.com

I've done the neti with my son, who laughs becuase it feels funny- my DH stands outside the door and shakes his head, while junior does farmer blows into the toilet after. I'm a nurse, what can I say- I find humor in gross and inappropriate things.

Nasal washings are becoming cool due to Oprah....

Yeah, no kidding. But, I'm dreading it. I haven't been since my dd was born (I know, I know....), and she's 11. We're self-employed and our insurance stinks. Start to Start is about 2 1/2 weeks. Not good, I know. With it coming that often, it's hard to make a Gyn appt that I'm not "entertaining".
