Search for BBC.co.uk then follow the link to languages and choose the language you are interested in. You may find it useful. I would have provided the direct link but every time I tried an error was thrown up.

Another tip for you fashion aficianados out there is to buy your silk ties in Rome. There is a plethora of choices and places in Rome to buy ties at around €5 per tie.

I'm really bummed....

I am going to be in the Orlando area on April 28th- but I won't be able to attend the BBQ!!!

I am going to be sitting in a lovey conference at the Gaylord Palm until 4 or 5pm.

I will actually be in town until May 6th.


I would like to go down to the Crystal River area and go diving on the 29th, if anyone wants to go with me. I am also going to try and go diving sometime on May 3, 4, or 5th.


Anyone doing the Minnie on the 6th?

Diving sounds like fun! If you were just a little bit further south (like Ft, Lauderdale), I'd go for it.

Your site is really awesome. I already checked it out and registered. I am torn with deciding which ports to bring the girls (ages 4 and 6) and then whether to book a driver or just do it on our own. We are comfortable doing the tours on our own, but not sure with the kids...

We're doing mostly DCL excursions because they offered some unusual family choices (like the farm in Palermo and cooking in Sardinia) AND it's a tad easier. In Rome we have our own driver. Originally I was going to drive on our own in Marseille but I had a really hard time getting a car. I gave up and booked two excursions through DCL once I realized we were there on Sunday (lots of stuff closed). I have a DD6 who has a short attention span. We have others from the DIS booked on almost every excursion we're taking. Here's the list in case it helps:

Palermo - the farm one
Naples - Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri for families
Olbia - the gnochetti ravioli one
Rome - on our own (private tour)
La Spezia - Santa Margherita and Portofino
Marseille - Calanques and Historic Santons (two tours)
Nice - Monaco (one with the train) and Nice/Eze with Wine/Cheese

Have fun figuring out which ones to do!

Hi there! Just an FYI. We are doing a private tour with a driver as well in Rome. We are using Odyssey. We are getting a van to haul all 10 of us. Our DD will be 6 in July. We are taking her along on all of the excursions. We figure a private driver will provide us more flexibility.
