Good morning...er, afternoon! Welcome to another day closer to the cruise!

I think the date for paying is 2/25 for me. I actually gave my TA the credit card info last week and reminded her since she is really useless (still haven't gotten my brochures) All i can say is I am SO LOOKING FORWARD to my new TA....I know she will do a better job!
If you are on the back2back, your payment due date was probably around the 10th of February, right? Geez, I hope you didn't miss it. If you can't reach your TA call DCL and ask them directly.

OK, here's the deal: We get free dinner and breakfast on the international flight...WHEW! Then, if we want to purchase breakfast (again!) on the short flight from Madrid to Barcelona, we would have to pay for it. I'll be OK!
No smelly KFC on the flight. I also got a nice person who gave us assigned seats. I called them 3X last week and was told I couldn't request a seat assignment until 72 hours prior to flying because we were steerage (economy) The senorita I just spoke to put us in 21 Jand L which is a 2-across window/aisle combination. Call now and maybe you will get her. Ask to be close to us and we'll share our candy.

That is what I am doing- flying from JFK to Madrid- then Madrid to BCN. Too bad you're not flying with me to Madrid-you all would want to share the type of candy I will have for the flight. Needless to say, I WILL be sleeping. I will have my nice disgreen pillow and I'm working on a blankey.



I have been asleep for 24 hours- I got really, really sick the last hour of my shift and ended up sleeping in a empty room until noon. I then drove partially home, took another nap and then drove the rest of the way and was in bed by 3pm and I work up today at 3:20pm. I still feel lousy! I think I have the flu.

I am officially announcing that I will be getting off of the boat in Rome and not getting back on until Florence. More time...

Be careful with that. I have heard the ship won't leave port until either everyone is onboard or they have no choice but to leave to get to their next port. With a day at sea afterwards, we could be in port for a whole day. Don't know if they would charge you for extra port fees because you decided not to come back. Just a thought

No, I'm not sailing that cruise, but I think I posted on that thread once or twice because I couldn't believe there were like 20,000 posts after only a week of the thread!

I'm sure if we notify them that we won't be coming back, it shouldn't be an issue. We weren't planning on not telling them. I'm not really sure how they could charge us extra port fees, especially if we notified them we we getting off? If so, we are on DCL lockdown!!! Where are the orange jumpsuits?

I just gave them a quick call- they said it wouldn't be a problem, we just need to give them contact information and where we are staying. I am going to get my cell fixed so I can use it there- so that won't be an issue. We are going to stay in Rome overnight- get on the train to Florence in the afternoon. Go to the David or Uffizzi after the train ride. Eat a yummy steak dinner in Florence- recommended by my snoty food friends in NYC. Get in early and hit either David or Uffizzi before you crazy nuts do- maybe do Sienna or ramble around Florence- and hit Pisa before getting back on the boat in TIME for dinner.


Just tried asking Robb about the five night again- got shot down!!!
