Well... Poor Captain Crash is having a faily crisis :sad1: It's his DFIL and chemo. So they decited to transfer their cruises to the Mexico.

He sure be the talker cant he??:grouphug: And all said with love!

I am going to get my cell fixed so I can use it there- so that won't be an issue.

Be careful - not only do you have to have the right type of phone, but you also have to have an international package - according to Cingular guy (probably the only nice one I have ever spoken to) he suggests that the international plan be kept in place for 3 months after returning - since the European carriers bill roaming calls very late and if the plan is not in place at time of billing, they can charge the current rate. He quoted me rates in Italy of 1.99 per minute with the plan and up to 9.99 per minute without :faint:

knocked me right out of the 'ol computer chair!! The 5.99 per month Cingular charges seems almost reasonable at those rates!!

No we are not!
Are you on Iberia Airlines, booked thru American?

Think maybe you can switch to the 6 PM flight? :coffee:
Hmm, are you on the same flight in Madrid?? I don't want to hit BCN any ealier than I already am- I have to wait for my roomie to hit and she is already a hour or so behind me. If I get there to early, I'll end up falling asleep somewhere in the airport....

But the answer is....yes, I am on Iberia.

I am going to post this- it might help someone else. I have a blackberry pearl with t-mobile. I have been told by T-mobile sales rep and their telephone reps that you can call and request the unlock code for your phone. This allows you to put in a code that will allow you to take out your sim card and put in a sim card that you can buy in Europe that has low rates and is prepaid. In Europe- most companies allow incoming call free- charging the calling rate to the caller- so you are only paying for the phone call on one end- vs in the US where they have to pay to call you and you have to use your minutes to answer the call. (I never got that double thing) Anyways, the rates are supposed to be similar to calling card rates. It makes it so you don't have to have an internation plan with your carrier and you can purchase minutes as needed through companies. I used to have a link, but I am at work and don't have access to it. BUT, this will only work if your company will give you the unlock code. I think you have to have been with them for a certain length of time and perhaps be locked into a contract- so they know they will get their money, even if you aren't calling on their network. Without the unlock code, the sim cards for Europe won't work.

Look at me, aren't I chatty!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Welcome to another day closer to the cruise...

Can I share something with y'all? My closest Disfriends??? Can I tell you what makes me a little nutty? Huh, can I??

Calling DCL and being told a million different things, by a million differnt people. :sad2: :sad2: Heavens, how do they ever function?? :sad2: :sad2: I have been told by many DCL reps that I could get off of the boat- sure yes, no problem. Absolutely- Just bring your key, passport, give us the contact informaton. Have a great time. All the while...telling my friends, No, absolutely not. You cannot get off the boat, that will make these people and that people very mad. Needless to say, I don't know who to believe as I have two sets of supervisors telling me different things....:badpc: :badpc: :faint:

Any suggestions before DCL causes me to harm myself???:confused3 :confused3

(HEY...you, DCL, if you're reading this- please, please get your people on the same page and save my sanity.) :rotfl2:

Do we know anything about the schedule of dinner themes or special events? Those of you who have made their bookings (the 105 day club), do you get only one Palo reservation? I assume yes and then the extra days will be available when we board.

Getting close enough to get excited!

Regardless of what the 105 day people can do, the rest of us can only book one dinner, one brunch and one High Tea in Palo (if available) in advance. Usually if you have one reservation when you get onboard you can only put yourself on a waitlist for another dinner in Palo. I know that some have posted the schedule for the formal/semi formal nights. When I spoke to DCL last week I was told that this information wouldn't be finalized for another 3-4 weeks. They do have tentative plans but they could definitely change. I will be checking back then with my contact.

I called t mobile yesterday and told them I was leaving the country and wanted to unlock my phone so I could use a local SIM card. She pretty much just needed my IMEI(?) number from my phone, my PIN, and an email address to send me the unlock code and instructions. She said it could take anywhere from 24 hours and 7 days to receive the instructions but I received it in less than 24.It took less than 5 minutes to unlock. My phone is now unlocked, I just need to use my friend's Cingular SIM card to test it out.

Celeste, this was done by another Tmobile customer.

and If they give you a hard time give them this

To Unlock:
1. While on the home screen, click the "blackberry key" on keyboard, then select "options".
2. Choose "Advanced Options".
3. Select "Sim Card"
This next one is important: when you type these letters and click the trackball a 'hidden' menu opens
4. There is no area to type these letters, you just type them as instructed. No need to hit keys twice to get a letter either. Type m e p p d to display the first five levels of SIM locking. Most companies use network locking so the Network should display Active. All other states should display Disabled ( you will not see text appear on screen while typing )
5. Type m e p p 2 to display the dialog box asking for the unlock code (Press the Alt + 2 key to get the number 2) ( you will not see text appear on screen while typing )
6. Input the SIM Unlock code
7. Press in the trackball in once
:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I think Nextels are unlocked!
Not sure !

Hello - anybody home? Down on page 2 again.

Another morning sitting in a conference reading the disboards on my laptop via a wireless broadband connection. What would we do without technology? I'd actually have to pay attention to the speaker - :sad2:

Beats sitting at home and getting paid for it!
:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm home....I'm home and I'm off to go to bed! :thumbsup2

Going to watch some TV on the new plasma screen :happytv: and not think about DCL.

Not sure !

Should be fun...beside T-Mobile knows I will fall back into their arms when I am back in the good old US of A. They gave me the info to keep me- a happy customer- rather than an angry bitter one who wants to cancel. :flower3: I L-O-V-E, LOVE my blackberry peal!!!!:goodvibes

Other than mailing the head honcho- does anybody have any idea of who would be a good person to email regarding my desire to get off of the ship? I was told Yes, No, Yes, No, Yes of course- OH NO. :rotfl2: The last answer was because of US customs....did they forget we are not getting on or off in the US? Last I knew I was still allowed to fly and thus not on any special lists. I don't think our rules apply here and don't give me the US company bit- the ship is registered out of the country.

I just want to talk to someone who can give me a reasonable answer as to why and someone who I feel has the correct information and can help me understand why this decision has been reached. Rather than I feel like people are pulling at straws...

I was going to type something I thought was funny here, but I thought others not knowing me might be offended. WOW, I really shouldn't type when I've been up for 20 hours- it's getting to the stupid laughing state. I think I should just go to bed.

I think tired posting could equal drunk dialing....I guess since I don't do one, I should be able to do the other.:upsidedow

Hi
I wonder if those of you who have booked DCL excursion got informed of the times of these( those of us on the 28th of july are trying to find out for planning). If possible could you post the time of the various excursion that you know off.
I undersatnd there is meant to be a toll free number but can't access it (free)from the uk. Thanks for you help, Best wishes Ruth

They added a stop to the flight!
Now flying to Madrid then to BCN!
Some how this does not seem Right!

That flight was always there. It has the same number as the overseas flight and is considered a continuation of it. Going back, it has a different flight # so it shows up as an additional leg.
What's this about us being on page 2? We ARE a quiet bunch. I've been without my computer for 2 days so now that I have it back I can help keep us on Page 1.
