I notice that a few responses have mentioned alarm clocks but don't forget that your mobile (cell) phones often have this functionality too. It wont save you much space but it's better than nothing.

Look forward to seeing you all on Saturday and hopefully the Med will be as quiet as usual - no big waves please! LOL

Hi all,

The cellphone alarm is a good idea it cuts down on packing ours is doubling as the camera too. less chargers and batteries to take.

Hopefully the med weather will be better than the weather on the way over for the Magic - DH is now extremely worried about sea sickness trying to convince him it won't be an issue and have packed lots of different remedies just in case.

Have sent a mail to a friend who lives in Barcelona to have a weather update, I will post it as soon as she replies.

See you all bright and early Saturday.

Rachel,

Tell your husband not to worry. The Atlantic is very rough compared to the Mediterranean. It would be like going over rapids compared to the calm flat stillness of a lake.

Weather on Saturday in Barcelona now shows 60% chance of showers. Wed - 50%, Thur - 30%, Fri - 20%. High is mid to low 70's every day.

Wouldn't worry to much about it though - I've been watching the weather each day and it's been changing.

Sue

Safe journey to all that that leave today.

And Sue - once you leave for the airport and start reportign on your travels I think it classifies as "LIVE". The only condition to that is if it is something that those of us that haven't left will need to know.

One more wake up and I'll be set to go.

Since I typed up the cabin numbers for delivery of gifts, I am able to sort by cabin number

I am in 2616 right at the aft staircase. Closest to me would be Poconoboatniks and then Maryon K (everyone's on the other sid eof the ship from me!)

Cindy you are a couple doors down from DisneySpirit, Connieosci and sort of close to Arizona Rita.

DisneySpirit, Met them on the 11 night, Very nice couple.... ;)

Thanks all for the formal/semiformal advice! (I think our "formal" will end up leaning more "semi" though, only because nothing more than that lives in our closets.)

Sweetsue, have a good trip (and thanks for the packing conversation).
Celeste, hope your foot starts healing more quickly.
Look forward to meeting you and all the other "characters" who have have appeared on this board. ;)

I'm still trying to figure out how to leave just one more pair of shoes at home ... I have this impression of myself that I am not "high maintenance" but a look at the packing pile suggests otherwise right about now.

Deb, I'm not sure if you got my reply or not to your email. It bounced back to me. Let me know if you don't get it.

Thanks Sue,

I don't think even a downpour could dampen the mood on sat when we are all abaord:banana:

Although i am glad someone else is checking the weather every day I was starting to think that with both the boards daily, checking weather daily, checking flight info and packing list daily as well as just checkign i have researched all ports as much as possible each day I was getting a bit obsessive with the holiday planning - hehehe:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Have a safe journey all of you that are travelling over the next hours and days from the US.

I wish I was leaving today as well although I am still yet to start packing and I do not finish work until friday lunch time - flying friday evening. I have finally convinced DH to take all the remaining laundry from bed changes and last minute items that the kids insist on wearing every day to the laundrette to be serviced washed so i have less to do tonight yippee - just hope all my hol clothes do not come back multicoloured or shrunken!!

Only three more sleeps until we leave on friday ( i have to count in sleeps for my DS and DD it is tradition)

Rachel

This is the last advice question honestly before everyone leaves the board for the live report.

Once onboard I have a list of things we need to do. I know there will be loads of people doing the same stuff but any advice on what to do first.

Collect pagers and check kids in at kids club
Double check nursery bookings and iron out some issues (i have an excursion that ends after the nursery)
Palo reservations ( i was too late to do them online)
Checkout where our stateroom is and get our bearings as to where everything is onboard
Find out where the bars are
Have lunch

Thank you:cheer2: :cheer2:

This is the order I would do them in once onboard (you may be able to do the kids club stuff before you board in which case that would be first).

Palo Reservations
If cabins are ready, I would go there second to get rid of the carry ons
If not, lunch or bar
Nursery
Kids Club

The kids are already registered so no need to rush to those. If you go to Parrot Cay for lunch you'll pass Promenade Lounge (if we come in forward) or it will be close if we come in aft. If you go to Topsiders for lunch, go out by the Mickey pool. At the base of the funnel (under the slide) is another bar. Got you started on two locations!!

I'M ALL PACKED!!!

The suitcases are all within weight limits (thankfully). At this point I could care less. I'd pay the extra $100 if I had too.

It's time for a bite of food, shower, drop off the cats, pick up the kid and limo ride!

Signing off now - next post will be LIVE!!! :goodvibes

:wizard: that everyone has a smooth ride.

C - the charger is in my "cruise" suitcase.

See a bunch of you on Friday and the rest on Saturday/Sunday!!! C, T - call or text when you get in.

Safe travels!

Sue

For Christina :laundy: :laundy:

I'll try to call though I don't know how I'll do it. We should be at the hotel at 33 La Rambles by noon? Get in at 9:40 am. See you Friday!!

OMG!!! I was just looking at the guest list and I left my DH out, I am the only one showing in my cabin. I think that Jen was the one updating the list, so, I'm not going to bother her at this point. I am bringing him, he's the one with that owns the credit cards that I plan to use :) . Just in case, we are in #1050 Camille (age unknown ;) ) and Orval (40). We are leaving today and spending the night at a JFK hotel. We are leaving DH's tuxedo behind, we are also doing the semi-formal formal night. My bags are overpacked and we are heading out, so excited. See you guys on Friday!!!

We are staying at the Montecarlo, anyone else staying there?
:yay:

Tracy,
Didn't get your message, which is odd ... never had that problem.
I sent another PM; maybe try a reply to that one?

Thanks,

Safe travels and wonderful memories to all of you. I know your trip report will be full of answers for those of us cruising later in the summer.
