Sue :grouphug: :grouphug: to you. I hope tomorrow is much better. See you Friday.

Gosh, you sound like me! I got my 5 year pi
Celeste,

Good luck at the ortho doc today. Hopefully, he'll have good news for you.

Rita,

No problem. I hope I can help. I was a Brownie leader for 3 yrs. and Junior leader for 3 yrs. I finally took off this year. Kate is in Cadettes this year.

I'm marathon packing today. One kid is just about finished. Most of my stuff is sitting on the bed. DH & DD are not even close.

Tomorrow is Confirmation for DD. I was going to cook, but dh wants me to order out for something. Doesn't the Bishop know I have packing and cleaning to do? I can't believe how unlucky we were to get Tuesday at 5 for Confirmation. At least I don't have to work this week.

Pocono

Gosh, you sound like me! I got my 5 year pin yesterday! I always love talking to other leaders, gives me some fresh ideas!:goodvibes
Besides all the craziness of this trip youve also been getting for confirmation?
You mentioned "Bishop" is that catholic? Lauren wil be taking her classes in Sept. We planned and paid for encampment, and then the church schedule the classes for the same time!:scared1:
I agree with your DH, order out!!
When do you leave? Youre going to need this cruise!
:grouphug:
Rita

:ssst: It's so quiet here...did everyone go over to the "live" thread already?

I agree, it's getting quiet and Ive still got 2 more days to get thru!!
Please keep posting!!
By the way. Ive always liked your photo! Which one are you and is all your gang travelling with you again?

Hey all... sorry I've been AWOL for the last few days... had a few issues pop up... including an emergency Root Canal, and an MRI on my foot... At least it happened now and not a week from now! LOL... :cool1:

Hope you are on the mend Ron :grouphug: Can't have anyone else getting

You all are making me think I need to go to Target again!!
Especially about the toilet paper, and I too remember Sam Brown saying that agout "going"!

Sue, you may already be asleep, but safe journey tomorrow!! Just keep saying to yourself, "There's no place like DCL, there's no place like DCL" and you'll be there before you know it!!:grouphug:

To everyone else who's travelling tomorrow, have a safe jouney!

Rita

Thank you to everyone who was kind enough to remember about my doctor's appointment. You all are very kind. I am glad to say that SO FAR- the doctor wants to try physical therapy. He was concerned about me walking a lot in Europe- but I told him that wouldn't be much of an issues as I am be diving almost as much as I would be walking. He was pleased with that. He told me I HAD to seen the morning after I arrived from Europe and then he would give me the final determination regarding surgery. I love it how they bend your foot a billion different ways and poke and then ask you if it hurts or not. :lmao:

He was impressed with how bruised I remain 15 days after the fall- but I will say that the swelling is ALMOST gone! But, I still don't think I'll fit into my "nice" shoes for the trip.....we'll see.

RON- Nothing better than an MRI before a trip. I sleep through them....

Sue- I would have gotten out the duct tape:rolleyes1 Sometimes I am referred to as MacGyver- I can be very resourceful when needed....

Hope everyone is doing well. I hope to get my hair cut and dyed (black again) tomorrow.

Does anyone know how to get gabcast to automatically post to blogger??

We made some real headway last night with packing, so I'm feeling a little bit better today, but what we're still trying to navigate as first time cruisers--Disney or otherwise--is just how formal is formal? Is semi-formal kind of like business-y? nicer business casual? :confused3

What's your experience? What do you recommend? This part is giving me stress ...

Now I need to go home later and eliminate at least one pair of shoes--I'm aiming for no more than 4.

For me, formal is something I would wear to a nighttime wedding or a fancy cocktail party. Semi formal is a daytime wedding or nice church clothes. Dressy pantsuit or nice dress/skirt and top.
Does that help?
Mari

:ssst: It's so quiet here...did everyone go over to the "live" thread already?

I had to frickin' work today and tomorrow (Tues) The d*m$ rats are so far ahead, that I'll still be behind when I go back to work. It is all the last minute stuff that is rattlin' my cage....careful, I get seasick:guilty:
We leave in less than 48 hrs....I am having quite a time being excited. We have anticipated this cruise for over a year now and it still doesn't seem real. I have more angst than excitement. Anyone else feel like this? I bet getting on the plane will help out immensely. :yay: :cheer2: :cool1:
Peace and tranquility to all:hug: :cutie:
Mari

I did all my :laundy: yesterday. Refuse to wear anything "cute" before the trip now. Ironing and packing tonight because I'm going to a special event at Kennedy Space Center Weds. night, so no last minute packing for me. I'm wishing I bought a luggage scale now. :worried: a bit about being "over" the limit. Don't want to have to pay a fine to the luggage ::cop: !!! :)

I know it won't help you now, but perhaps on the way home, (shudder to think about that yet:scared: ) but we have a luggage scale that we will be bringing....we are in 6631. Raleigh and Mari.

Haircuts - done
Pedi/manicures - done
overpacking - mostly done (always time to throw a few last minute panicy things I won't need)

Pales in comparison to Mari's granddaughter and Celeste's foot, but the dog decided this morning that his hind leg didn't work and his vacation at the kennel starts tomorrow. Seems the little 17 month old has knee issues. I need to get into the doggie prosthetics business. There's got to be a market for little doggie knee stabilizers. He's AOK for the kennel though. Nothing to make you appreciate a vacation like a little last minute drama.

IT's an issue none the less.....we'll be thinkin' of ye....NO MORE DRAMA OR TRAUMA!!!!!Mari

I'm glad you're hanging in there. I've been thinking about you all day. How is it to walk on it now? Wrapping? Icing? "R.I.C.E."?

Mari -

Deb is in 7620 and we are across the hall in 7619.

We all remember "THE DOOR". Hey, we are on the same ship and we know where oyu hang out - lol.

OK, break over - back to house cleaning.

I don't think my room is by anybody else's, 6070.
Hello? Anybody by me?

I had to think about this, as it's habit now, but I always bring a small asst of ziploc bags, small and gallon size. They're great for everything!

I don't think anyone is near us either. Well, at least everyone stop by and see our cute doors....;)

Yep, Ziploc bags are a necessity for us too! I'm excited...36 hrs to take off!

Good morning everyone!!!! One day closer to cruising.....

We leave TODAY (cross your fingers!).

Still not packed yet - but confident that I'll somehow manage to make it. After all I have eight hours before the limo picks us up.

I'm so exhausted, sleeping on the plane should be EASY!

Hmmmm, does this mean after 1 I get to post on the live thread???? Or do I have to wait until we actually sail?

Sue
