I've recently had a bunch of stuff going on, but now that it is past, I can concentrate on getting ready for this cruise! I do need to start packing. When we have had similarly huge trips in the past, I started packing 2-3 months ahead of time. So I'm a little late on this one.

Our daughter will turn 7 on May 29th, so we're excited to celebrate on the ship. I just hope she gets one of those yummy looking chocolate cakes instead of the odd looking Jell-O type cake.

Now I feel behind in my packing! I do have some things together, but not in any suitcases. Like the pirate costumes, but nothing actually packed!

I haven't had any takers on the the PowerRanges lunch box, so I thought I'd bring it up gain to see if anyone wants it.

As I stated before I will host the 3:00(1500)meet and greet by the I think Mickey pool on deck 9 due to the young ages or do you prefer the family pool? Please give me some idea of what the group prefers..

My vote is for the Mickey pool, as I have smaller ones and will have to be over there anyway.

As discussed earlier we can get room numbers together at that time and even draw for exchages for those who will be participating

I thought we were doing the fish extender exchange instead of the drawing exchange?

Have to agree with you there - the Jello-O cakes were odd, and the chocolate one looks yummy. I wonder if you can put in a special request for it? The best cake we had was the first night Bon Voyage one we had - but it wasn't that yummy looking chocolate one either. Can you tell I like chocolate!

Ellen My DD would flip over that princess door magnet!!

I might be able to throw one of these together for you if you'd like. I just need to check where I got the images and if it would be okay. I'm a bit gun shy about it, because I read a thread where a dis-member was very upset and said they had designs stolen and sold and it got pretty heated. Let me know if you want me to look into it.

Ok I got it now, we are exchanging the fish extenders.. Duh my sometimers must have really kicked in on this one I felt that the mickey pool would be th better choice for all of us..We haven't started packing either I am not that OCD but have been accused of it before..jrp

Yes, you would go around and drop a gift into each around the ship. I think we should include how many people and their ages for each cabin so those that want to bring age appropriate somethings for the kids can. You can bring either one gift for the whole cabin or for each person, that is up to you. I think we should cut the sign-up off at 2 weeks before the cruise so that we have time to get enough, how does that sound? I would then provide the details via PM or email to those participating, the only thing that would be missing might be some room #'s, which would be on the list I will provide at the 3 o'clock meet.

I don't even have my fish extender yet but I found some on ebay as well...although they weren't under fish extender. I think they were under hanging organizers....I will go back and get some links to post. Yes, many make them....there is a link about them here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1219607

Off to go get the other links.....think I answered everything. This is my first cruise and am just doing this based on a couple of other meets I was eaves dropping in on so am open to whatever we decide

Hi again, I've been MIA for awhile, just trying to catch up on life. Now I need to start focussing on the cruise. I work best under preassure and with a short deadline so May will probably be my month to figure out this trip.

Just wanted to let you know that we are up for the meet & greet at 3pm. The mickey pool would probably work best but I have a dd6 & ds8 so it really doesn't matter. My kids are starting to get really excited. I can't believe it's coming up so quickly after booking it in Jan 07!

I'm still considering the Fish Extender thing, because I think my kids would think it was fun....BUT....I'm not sure if I can come up with an idea and a fish extender in time. We'll see.

I'll try and stay on top of this thread from here on out. I usually get so caught up in some other sort or thread that takes me days to read.

Can't wait....only a little over a month to go!

I'm still considering the Fish Extender thing, because I think my kids would think it was fun....BUT....I'm not sure if I can come up with an idea and a fish extender in time. We'll see.

I hope the original poster of this doesn't mind, but I thought it was quite ingenious and if we don't get one made in time, you may well see us doing something similar to this! So if anyone is considering not participating because they won't have a fish extender - remember really anything will do.

Hello everyone

I know I could spend endless hours going through the threads to find this out, but I wanted to remember what we can bring on board. Seeing that we are not flying this time, I'm thinking I can drive up with my wine and water bottles

Can we bring wine? I've read before where people have brought coolers with them, but the cruise web site says NO. Any way, I was going to bring some of our local wines to share with you all and thought it would be reeeeally easy packing to just carry it on.

I've been sick with this darn flu this weekend, but feeling better now. I'm hoping we all just get it now and get it over with.

We have been busy here with my DD bookfair and just plain busy! I can't wait to put all that on hold for 7 wonderful days with the Magic

4campers, Kim. Trying to start to use peoples names to be ready for the meet and greet. I read online that you could bring your own wine and if you bring your own wine to dinner that there is a corking fee. I read that on a message board site so I cant be 100 percent positive and have you pack it and then have to store it back in the car if you can't take it on. Good idea to bring your own and save money. The last cruise I went on was more for the bar bill then it was for the trip for my mother and I.(Didnt have the kids at the time so went crazy with my room key ordering the drinks)
The water bottles I hope that you can take since my kids are so use to bottled water and only a specific kind since my grandfather worked for a water company for over 30 years so we grew up on it. If not then I better stop the fluoride pills and make them tough it out for a few days.
Glad you are feeling better! I am so sick of the flu and cold this year that never seems to end for our family. I need to start wearing a mask for all of May so we will stay healthy for the trip.

I'm here, well, sort of. We've all been sick, but feeling better now, other then my head my explode at any minute

Can't believe it's 29 days and counting down. I've been super busy at work and not paying attention to the boards. We are having quite a bit of family join us on this cruise, so I doubt we'll make it to the gathering at 3pm. However, I would like to know cabin numbers so I can put some surprises in your fish extenders. My niece made us each one. Boy are they cute.
