Hey fellow cruisers - I can't believe we are less than 2 months and counting, we're getting very excited! In just over a month we'll be able to see the Magic set sail for her journey to us - YEAH!

I remember in 2005, the Disboards were hopping with all of us watching and commenting, as well as we watched her go through the Panama Canal which was awesome - I wish I could have been on her, but it was still thrilling to watch. We could see Captain Mickey on deck.
I haven't been posting much, mostly because I've been so busy, I have a huge project at work we're trying to wrap up and it's been 60++ hours a week on the darn thing, so I don't have much available time.
I found the links for that Maritime Museum - which now reading the description it apparently is larger than I remembered!

There also is an Aquarium which is a bit further down the road from the museum, I think we may end up here if we have to this time since we've already been to the Museum and we LOVE Aquariums. Here's the links.

MaryAZ and jrp - please don't remind me about the door magnent, I had such high expectations of making us all t-shirts and door magnets, and.... I'm not getting any of it done.

As well as I keep thinking what I need to do is get all our links and post them on the first page of the thread so they are easy to find...
Speaking of that - I saw on other meet threads where they are actually posting the stateroom numbers? How do you all feel about that? I have kind of mixed feelings, as I worry about security, on the other hand, I'm totally confused on how we are ever going to hook up or meet or anything. On our Celebrity cruise the cruise critic hosted a party if you had more than 25 people sign up - so we all just showed up for the party, exchanged our gifts, and got to meet face to face so we knew each other on the ship. Additionally, I hosted the volcano viewing party as we sailed by Mt. Kilauea - but again, it was a set time and place so easy to do. I'm SO confused about how to make this work on
DCL. I considered hosting a party early in the cruise - first sea day - but I only received 2 people's response. I totally understand not wanting to commit because we're not sure what else will be scheduled for that time, but I'm afraid if we just leave this to chance and not actually plan something it won't happen. So please, does anyone have good ideas on what to do or how to make it work.
On my 2005 DCL cruise we bought gifts for every dis-member cabin, and then went cabin to cabin and delivered them. It was a fairly small group - and the cabin numbers were only PM'd so kept confidential. I have to say, this method, while fun would be impossible for a larger group and it was very stressful when you have all your gifts bought and start packing and a new member would join, and you don't want to leave them out. Not to mention it increased the packing needs a great deal more than a single gift exchange, which insures everyone bringing a gift receives a gift, and those that didn't want to participate didn't have to. But, you really need a place and time for the group to get together to do this type of exchange...
I pulled out my old navigators from 2005, and I can't find the
Castaway Club party posted. I found the DVC party, and all the presentations.

But I am missing the last navigator or 2, I only have the first 5, but I can't find it. Additionally the schedule is SO different this time. We sailed on Saturday in 2005 and had two sea days to Puerto Vallarta. This year it's reversed going to Cabo first and we sail on Sunday.
