Hi everyone, do you mind if I ask you a question????? what time were they boarding or should I ask how early were they letting everyone board? WE are staying at GCH and so we will be driving to the port but dont want to get there too early but also not to late for the crowds... Thanks it is appreciated

I do have to say that my DH was pretty mad about us getting off the ship around 9-10am with all of the people trying to go on. It would be nice to let the guest go home and pack up the cars before the new guest are coming. We got there around 1pm or so and didnt have much crowds and got on in time for our room to be ready at 2pm. There will be plenty of time that week to look around, eat and swim...that is what you will be doing if you enter early.

Just to update those of you waiting for me to start the costco group room. I just went to try and do it and although my account has been transferred to the new system, my group rooms have not and it is telling me to check back in a few days. So, I will work on uploading all my common pictures, I probably have 50-75 of them, and then as soon as I am able I'll get the room created and you will get an e-mail. I'll also post it here on the board that it is open in case you didn't receive the e-mail. Right now I have everyone's e-mail address except Kim, Mary and Suzie. I'll also post the sail away photos that I received from pppiglet on the costco site. If you would like them e-mailed to you I can do that too. Ellen, I will go ahead and e-mail those to you right now since you had already asked for that.

HI everyone, Just to update you, there is still no improvement with the costco site. It still will not set up group rooms. I really hate when these companies make changes. I'm waiting on it also for some school pictures to share with friends and other things. It's so frustrating. Eventually we will be able to access it and share our photos. Hopefully it's before we all take our next cruises!

Nice to hear from you. I'm still here and checking in. For anyone still wondering about the sharing of pictures. Costco STILL has not opened their new share rooms up yet. I contacted them and they said they hoped it should be be the end of June......but of course that didn't happen. I'll keep you all posted.

I keep meaning to check in on some of the other cruise meet boards to see how their trips went but I haven't had the time.

Kim when do you leave on your RCL cruise? I wish we had something else to look forward to.

I got back from DLR and then went into the Hospital(They thought I had a stroke) WayToo much fun on the cruise Luckily it was not a stroke after bein poked, proded, and scanned it looks like I had another episode of Bell's Palsey on my left side..Sometimes you just can't win.. I miss all of you guys and just wanted to say AAARRRGGHHH..James

We leave the 21st! Can't wait to travel in a 'swanky' suite this trip! Wish you all were coming with us

Glad to hear that our cruise friends are still around! I was starting to worry since I still subscribe to this thread and haven't hear anything from anyone. James, glad to hear that you are ok! Kim, have a fun time on the cruise! We are looking at a cruise on the RC since we have cruise credit and would love to check out the kids club there. Tracey, hope the costco picture site works because we wished that we took more pictures and missed out on a lot. Hi everyone, I'm just catching up on the odds and ends from the week. Glad to hear from you all. James I'm so glad you are OK. Also very glad that your troubles didn't happen while you were on the cruise, but waited until afterwards.

I watched a Disney Cruisline show on the travel channel the other night and it made me miss the cruise even more. They even had a couple of segments where Brent was talking and just to hear his voice kind of put me back in the midst of things.......but I was in my house instead of the ship

Just an update on the ever frustrating Costco site, it's still not up yet I don't get how they can make these changes and take away a complete area of their site. It's not that you can't add to the groups, but ALL of my group pictures aren't accessable and I have hundreds of picures in there from my kids school activities. This is goin on 6 weeks now and they told me weeks ago it should be done by the end of the week. SOOOOOOOOOOO, I'll still keep you posted.

Kim have a fantastic time on your trip. I'm so envious of you, not only going on the cruise, AND the Swanky Suite, but that you have all these fun summer activities planned. My kids just have a little bit of camp and lots of time at home. Of course they love it, but it's nice of you guys to actually plan a fun summer for the kids.

Hi everyone!

We are looking forward to this trip very much! I haven't even started packing yet, however! For our Disney trip I had stuff stacked all over and was packing by now! Maybe, it's because it's a 4 day trip, I'm feeling like I have it under control NOT I'll get started soon.

We sailed with RCCL last year and loved them! Had the 'swanky' suite as well. The room is beautiful and the bathroom is huge!!! Love it! The kids club just couldn't compare to Disney. There just aren't many children sailing in Alaska in May, so the girls had a BLAST!! The staff was the best of the best. The girls begged us each morning to go to the club. I could barley get them to sit through dinner as well.

Kim, Our experience with Celebrity was similar. Very few kids onboard, but the club was really great and the kids never wanted to leave. That's not to say it was better than Disney, but there is something to say for having fewer kids - I think it allowed for a much stronger bonding. Well, that and 14 days versus 7 days.

Please share your Alaska experience, I've been pondering doing Alaska in 2009, but it might turn out to be 2010 instead - I'm not sure yet and May is the time of year I'd like to do it.

DL sounds like fun! I've been thinking about maybe Oct (we loved the trick or treat party they did when we went a couple of years ago), or maybe Jan or Feb. But Nov could be a possiblity also, when are you going?

DL...Nov. 23 and 24!!! I would be great if you all could come out! It may be busy with Thanksgiving, but it's really the only time we can all go.

Alaska was SO amazing. Just more then I could have ever thought of! It's HUGE, beautiful, pretty, did I say huge yet? It was cold in May, DA, but we got very little rain, so just cold with no rain I could handle. I brought every jacket, rain boots, umberllas and hats we had. We did excursions at all the stops and loved everything! The salmon bake was really fun. Did the tain over the pass and it was so beautiful. We even kayaked in Sitka!!! Oh that was the best!!!! I'd love to go again!

I think you should do the Seattle trip, I've heard/read that its beautiful. Our train trip takes about 36 hours, and we're staying in Chicago for 5 days. I'll check back in afterwards and let you know how it was.

I'm not sure about DL, we have some Thanksgiving obligations, but I'll look into it and let you know, it would be fun!

You just confirmed my concerns about sailing to Alaska in 2009. I really really want to make sure we see Sitka, but I also want to sail roundtrip out of Seattle, which for some reason they don't seem to be offering as much in 2009 as they did in 2008 - so I'll cross my fingers for 2010, that they include Sitka.

Thank you so much Tracey We have been busy packing (oh the memories)! But, this one is a bit easier for us, as it's a 4 day trip. Should be pretty casual as well.

It's all hit me today, that we are really leaving on a ship again! It's just too bad that we will miss seeing the Magic as she left today. I was hoping we could see her again, but for just a moment......aaaaaaa I'll see the empty dock where she was however
