Our last day in 2005 was a bit rocky, it didn't bother the kids at all, but it was bothering me a bit. But having now crossed the Pacific to Hawaii and back and getting 30 foot waves and swellsWhen I went on a cruise for the weekend to Mexico, the waters were really rocking the boat. Can this also happen on this cruise. I didnt bring a sea patch when I went and was really feeling sick when I was sleeping and feeling the boat move. If it rocks a little it isnt so bad for me but when the whole boat was moving and you could hardly walk then it was really bad for me! Our room attendant told me to eat a green apple for sea sickness...didnt get a chance to try it but wonder if it really works. I am really worried that the kids might feel ill if that happens. Can kids use the sea patch and I should call their doctor or what can I do. Thanks
on our last full sea day - the Mexico rocking seems really tame.
I don't know about the patch for kids, but there is a kids bonine, that is for ages 6 - 12. We haven't needed it, as we bought candied ginger (which didn't work as well) and we did try the green apples which are AWESOME and we swear by them. They don't have long term affects, but when feeling a bit quesy I would give the kids (or myself) a couple of slices to munch on and we felt great after a few bites. I was amazed and suprised at how well the green apples worked, give them a try. Great Picture! That's so cool that your thread is still going. Here's our pic from formal night on our Mexico 2005 cruise. We were a small group, but very active - you can see our door decorations also!I hope you all don't mind me sharing this. It's from our first cruise with Disney and this is our disboards friends! We had a really great group and we still keep our thread goingLot's of good laughs still come from this group

she was fine. No motion sickness and no side effects either. My 4yo did not experience any sickness but if she did, I would probably give her 1/2 of a children's Bonine tablet.

I posted this earlier, I hope no one minds me posting it again. As you can see, there's one Formal and one Semi-Formal. As for Pirate Night, at dinner they give you a bandana, and some people just have this or nothing at all, others just wear a t-shirt with a pirate pic on it, and others go all out and wear pirate costumes. It's really up to you, there's a good mix of everything. Formal night most people are dressed up - although some more formal then others - it's really fine either way.
), but a number of people like to have a bit of fun and decorate their doors. Since the doors are metal, magnets work really well, but I've also seem people use paper and tape it to the door. On our last trip, I designed ours so they were personalized and then printed them on the magnet paper and cut them out. They turned out really cute. You can almost see them in a post I did ealier of our discussion group - it's post 281
Hopefully when things get closer my schedule will ease up a bit and I'll be able to get swept up in the fun and excitement.
