Ahh, congratulations Padalyn!
Can I ask about the lanyards, as only been on one previous cruise and didn't do anything like that - I presume they are personalised to this cruise? Do you know what the likely cost it? We will be getting castaway member lanyards (I presume) this time, as it is our 2nd cruise, so not sure if this something I need to sign up to or not? Sorry if its a really obvious question!!
Thank you for the congrats - we are both so happy...
See below for more info about the lanyards.
Hey Neighbor, Wishing you lifelong happiness!!
Safe to say, at some point we have probably been at one of the many Paramus malls at the same time
most likely - but never on Saturday!! Thanks for the congrats and well wishes!
Thanks, Cayla!
And I wish you a wonderful future!!
Thanks Cayla and Michael. I added my party of 4 to the document. Does Michael have an idea of the cost yet??
Speaking of group items, I just found out that the company that I've ordered lime green leis from in the past is no longer in business.

So, I might have to try and think of something else instead. Any ideas?? Maybe if enough people sign up for the lanyards then we wouldn't need the leis???
Thank you for the congrats.
See below for more information about the lanyards
I have found that the Lei's are available at a lot of places, the lanyards won't replace them of course, just be an addition. May I suggest Oriental Trading? Not sure if they have color specific or not..
thanks!!
I added my family to the lanyard list. Any idea what the ballpark will be for costs, we'll help out, but would love to plan accordingly for our budget.
Thanks for putting everything together.
Will keep you posted - see below for more information
I don't know what a lanyard group is... but I added our names for the cruise and would like to contribute... anyone want to fill in a newbie?
CONGRATS ON YOUR ENGAGEMENT CAYLA!

How on earth did she get in the room to surprise you like that! You're one lucky lady!!!!!!!
We were staying at AKL club level for one night, then moved to Saratoga (unable to get the second night at AKL). Since she was on the reservation she was able to give the information to Disney Floral (Gail) who were then able to access the room while we were at dinner at Turf Club - so sneaky - so romantic and wonderful!

Congrats Cayla!!!
I'm going to text Phyllis in a minute and see if she wants to do the lanyards -- any idea what they'll say or the cost?
I'm going to pencil myself in ... I've spent so much already and have a lanyard already for our cabin keys.
Do I have time to remove myself before you place the order?
Off topic - anyone having a problem with the site the past few days... I couldn't log in and now when I hit my name all my subscriptions are gone... Is it me, or is it screwed up!
You can change your mind about contributing, but please accept the lanyard either way - see below for more information.
I joined the lanyard list - Any idea of the cost
not yet - depends on how many are contributing - see below for more information.
So we're all exited about heading to WDW for the day and we've all booked our times to get there, but what about the trip coming back?? What kind of consequences will it have if we all decide to hop on that last bus back to port?
Well - I can tell you a personal adventure that might ease your mind a bit...
when the Magic went to The Baltic for the first time, there were many challenges with reboarding. Michael and I were on the Russian Ballet excursion when in St Petersburg Russia. The performance ran VERY late (we were supposed to be onboard at 10pm - the show started at 9pm) Seems that Russian time is kinda like "island time"

The next "challenge" was that it was also "red sails" meaning that it was graduation night and the streets were VERY busy and crowded. This caused many traffic delays when returning to the ship. We finally got to the ship at midnight - 2 hours late!!! However, because this excursion was run by Disney, we were not left behind. The ship waited for us and we sailed about 3 hours late, there was another excursion that arrived just before we did. My only concern is that since folks will be "let loose" in the parks there is a major responsibility to get to the buses. In Russia we were all in a very small area. As long as you are at the bus location you will be fine. Since it is not during typical "magical express" busy times, all those buses will be available to move folks.

Lanyard information
These lanyards (assuming Michael follows the pattern set by others in the past) will have a slogan that is specific to the cruise and will have a small card attached that will have each person's name (Dis Name if applicable).
For much larger cruises (the Hawaii list is over 500 long) the contribution was 35.00 (all voluntary) and I am happy to defray the costs to the originator of the list. He set up a paypal account and I just sent the money via Pay Pal. I know that Michael is setting one up this week and I will be sending that information to folks who indicated that they are willing to contribute.
I have a collection of these and I really treasure them as part of the memory of the cruise.
For other cruises, they lanyards are usually given out at the meet n greet, but I suspect Michael may want to do it at his sailaway thing on top deck starboard. If the lanyard is not picked up - then we deliver them to the FE or cabin fish hook later on that night or the next night. There will be a write on board on our cabin so pick up info will be posted there.
The actual cost is not known yet - this will depend on the number needed. Michael mentioned that he will most likely order 100 pieces, since in the past they were often give them to cast members as well.
As I get more information from him I will post it...I hope this clears up some of the confusion.
Cayla
