May 25, 2012 - Magical 8-night cruise - NYC to the Bahamas!

Checked the WDW operating hours

MK closes at 22h
EC and HS closes at 21h
AK closes at 19h

I believe the last bus leaves MK at 23h. Should be more then enough buses between 21h and 23h to get everyone back on board

It was 86 today in Montreal. Forecast for Tomorrow 33:confused:

thanks for the hours!
The weather is just as bad in NJ - 90 yesterday - today in the 70's...go figure.

Ahh, congratulations Padalyn! :)

Can I ask about the lanyards, as only been on one previous cruise and didn't do anything like that - I presume they are personalised to this cruise? Do you know what the likely cost it? We will be getting castaway member lanyards (I presume) this time, as it is our 2nd cruise, so not sure if this something I need to sign up to or not? Sorry if its a really obvious question!!

We've been away this week and had a lovely time. Visted Blackpool for anyone thats heard of it - NYC has the Statue of Liberty, Paris has the Eiffel Tower, and Blackpool has the Blackpool Tower! My grandfather used to paint it in the 1950's, and although sadly passed away now many years ago, I have wonderful childhood memories of spending lots of happy times in Blackpool with my grandparents, so I always really enjoy going there as it reminds me of happy times.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE England. Been there a few times but did not get a chance to get to Blackpool....but I have heard of it!!! Isn't that where they hold one of the biggest ballroom dancing competitions (or used to)?

Our DD spent two semesters in London in 2008 and 2010 and we had the best time traveling around England with friends. Got to Bath, York, Cotswolds, Brighton, Oxford, Dover, Canterbury, Ramsgate, etc...but not to Blackpool!!!

My ancestors are from Budleigh, Devonshire....actually my ancestor is Roger Conant...the first Governor of Salem, Mass.

Anyway just wanted to say how much I love your country!!!

MJ

Hey Neighbor, Wishing you lifelong happiness!!
Safe to say, at some point we have probably been at one of the many Paramus malls at the same time :thumbsup2

Good ole Paramus Park and Garden State Plaza.....been to both umpteen times..I am right over the border in Rockland Co.

My favorite place ever to stop for lunch while in Paramus is The Fireplace. We have been going there since we were little kids....if you are ever in there and look up over the pickle station you will see a stained glass lantern...my dad made that over 40 years ago....we used to always stop there on our way home from Campgaw skiing (dad was Ski Patrol) and I insist we stop there whenever shopping in the area...good think hubby loves the burgers as well!!

And to Padalyn.....congrats!!! We are heading out to the Fantasy in June...can't wait!!!

My husband works in Pearl River at Pfizer. Yes, we have gone to The Fireplace. Will make sure to look for the lantern next time. Small World!

Hi everyone :wave2:

I'm back home now, after being away for 3 weeks. I had a great time with family in NJ. :grouphug:

Anyway.... the site that I was going to order the lime green leis from no longer has them in stock (Oriental Trading). I've done a search to find a new site, and every site that I've found that has them is charging a lot more $$$ than what Oriental Trading was going to charge.

I've gone back to the list of cruisers in the first post to get a count, and there are some names there that I haven't seen post here in months and now I'm not sure whether they are still on this cruise or not.

So I'd like to ask everyone who'd like a lime green lei to please post here now, and let me know, so that I can get an accurate count and not buy more than I have to.

If you'd like a lime green lei, please post here and let me know how many your party/family is going to need.

I'm going to start a new list of people who want the leis, just to make sure that nobody is left out, and also so that I won't buy more than needed.

Thanks! :sunny:

We are driving from Montreal and staying overnight at the Garden Inn in RidgefieldPark NJ. We have an 11h30 arrival time scheduled at the Terminal. Would it be faster going over the George Washingon Bridge or under the Lincoln Tunnel?? Google shows about 20 miles either way.

Hiya all :)

How's things?

How's the FE's coming to those that are participating -- along w/ the lanyard list?

I'm okay -- beautiful out today...

We have a new member to our group -- Bailey.. she arrived 2 nights ago - within 24 hours we had a chocolate lab pup! LOL

Someone dropped her off at the Lab Rescue here and I was given a heads up on what was going to happen to her, so here I am, being a lab mommy again! :)

She's cute... Been a very good girl already.

Other than that - nothing new!

Anticipation is setting in... not much time left now!

5 weeks from today we'll be onboard the Magic!!!!! :sunny:

Georgette: Congrats on your new puppy. :)

Doesn't anyone want a lei??? :confused3

My opinion would be to listen to the traffic report that morning and depending on any accidents or closures, make your decision then. The Friday morning before the Memorial Day weekend, could be lots of traffic not just from the commuter but those travelling as well.:drive: Safe trip.

Hi! We are a family of 4 if you decide to get them. Thanks :)

Thanks, I'll add you to the list. :thumbsup2

Hey everyone, I think that I might've given the impression that I didn't want to do the leis anymore. I apologise for that. That's not the case. So please don't hesitate to let me know how many all of you need. :sunny:

MORNIN'

I'm up bright and early, too bad it's an icky day outside.. hopefully it'll clear up already!

I'm up and on puppy duty! eeek! LOL what did i do! :lmao::lmao:

Time is tickin' till we sail.

Called Disney yesterday to see about upgrading... maybe they'd cut me a deal .. no such luck. $500 for oceanview, 2k for a verandah.

She said boat looks like capacity is pretty tight....

Today is laundry day, eeek, I'm going to clean out some clothes and get rid of.. laundry for 4 seems to pile up pretty fast. Time to sort out older socks, etc...

Wish me luck! :hyper:

I saw your puppy on facebook, he's a real cutie!!!! Are you a foster mom or did you adopt him??

When I log into the DCL web site it looks like every category of cabin is still available except for the suites, so that tells me that there are still empty cabins on our sailing. I guess the only thing to do is to wait until we're checking in at the port to see if there are any upgrades available. I think that would be the only "deal" they'd give us. I've only ever cruised in an inside cabin once, all of the rest were balcony cabins, so I'm wondering if that will make a difference to me on this cruise. I'm hoping that I have so much fun that I won't notice the lack of balcony. :lmao:

I went through my closet the other day and moved all of our winter clothes to the family room closet, otherwise I wouldn't have had room for the new cruise clothes that I bought.

Good luck with your laundry today Georgette! :laundy:
