May 23,2014 - 24 Hours of MK @ WDW

Can we come to the meet up too? :)

I don't use Twitter really, that's the only issue. And we won't be in costume.....I'm hoping I can find you guys at 2am! LOL...

We will be wearing ears or hats of some sort (maybe even Glow with the Show) but as of now, we're not sure.

We will be at the gates by 5:15, walking over from BLT at 5am......

I do Instagram and mostly FB......

That is great! The more the better.

We are on FB too. Our tweets will also get posted to FB if that works better for you. All the links are below in our signature.

Hello! My friend and I will also be there that day. We will try to come to the meet up if we are not asleep in a line somewhere. :rotfl: We are staying offsite and planning on staying the entire time so I thought about renting a locker. I have never rented a locker before. Where are they located and any tips on what to bring?

Thanks!

Hi mary,

Glad to have you join us... follow us for updates throughout the day and night.

Renting a locker is a great idea. We will be doing the same. The link below should give you all the info you need.

Hi all!

I'm planning on going on the 23rd, but my plans aren't set in stone yet. I will likely be there from the 20th to the 24th, waiting on some other details before I book my room.

Excited to see so many other people are planning on attending! When it was first announced I didn't see many Dis'ers chatting about it. I'd love to meet up with y'all but I am very much not planning to stay all 24 hours, lol. I will be there bright and early at opening (planning to arrive around 5:15AM) and I'll probably stick around until 6 or 7PM before I skip out.

Maybe I'll come back for the meet up, though, depending how tired I am. I've heard it gets INSANELY packed around 10-11PM. Do you think it will still be crazy busy around 1:30-2AM?

From what we have read it generally thins out after midnight but you never know. Really hope you can join us for the meet up at 2am.

Follow us on twitter to get updates as the night progresses. You can also tweet us if you are coming. If you cannot make it, I'm sure we will all be posting pictures on various social platforms.

Thank you! I followed you on twitter last night. :)

What is everyone's FP+ strategy going to be like this night? I planned it like normal (for me). Got them all in the late afternoon, early evening. Will try to hit as much as I can during RD, then have lunch and stroll around for a bit, then get to my FP selections starting around 4:55pm.

Thanks for the follow. We are not doing anything really different from what we have done in the past. With that said we are not big ride people either. We are just happy to take in the vibe and enjoy the park.

If you like ride, we do recommend that you get all 3 of your FP+ done early so you can take advantage of the bonus FP+options at the Kiosk.

Just a suggestion.

Disney has released the entertainment schedule for the park that day:

http://wdwnt.com/2014/05/magic-king...edule-released-for-24-hour-disney-side-party/

While some minor offerings have been left off of the schedule still, here’s when you might catch the larger entertainment offerings during the 24-hour

i thought it was gonna be about characters etc.. billed as a hero vs villains show. The above gives me what i would get on a regular day except for ONE added MSEP show at 1Am..

am I missing something-- I thought this was going to be special???

Hi folks. My sweetie and I were at last years 24 hour event and I thought I'd offer some (unsolicited) advise.

First, get there early! This is the MOST important advice I can give!!!! We arrived around 7am and it was a bit more lively than I expected but from the perspective of getting on rides it was perfect. We could have run Space Mountain 3X back to back to back (if I had been smarter). Lines were "short" until about 10am.

Second, we caught the first parade which wasn't as crowded either (as the parades go) had a great spot right on Main St.

Third, keep water in your packs...........it was hot!!!! Keep hydrated early and often.

Fourth, plan out a meal schedule..........We had quick breakfast at our hotel.........and ADR for lunch.............as the day goes on QS lines get longer and longer. (NOTE: Dinner was off-park.......)

Fifth, if you can take a break back at the hotel....DO IT...........we're older so a nap is a must do............it will make the potential long night easier.

Finally, Consider your location for the (early, if they do 2) Wishes fireworks show. Last year we watched Wishes from Main St. It was fun but we felt like "sardines". It was soooooooo crowded. So much so that we couldn't move forward when the show was over. We eventually gave up and left early :confused3 I'd suggest watching from Fantasyland or Tomorrowland. When the show is over we heard it was easier to move around.

Your gonna have a great time pixiedust: Wish we could be there with ya.

Great advice, thanks! We plan on taking a taxi to Contemporary (hopefully that will work) and walking over to arrive around 5am. :goodvibes

Good advice, as that's all stuff I've planned for during the day. Well except for the nap. I don't nap, and I'm here to do the whole darn day. I plan on arriving at the gates around 5. FPP at BOG late morning for lunch. I was definitely planning in watching the fireworks in Fantasyland. Anywhere but Main St for sure.

I'm guessing they will announce some special meet and greets, and there is usually a dance show at the end of the night. That schedule I posted before was for the basic schedule. They have done a second fireworks, but maybe not this time?

We are arriving before 6am too. Booked the Contemporary so we can walk. Having my 85 year old dad and a 1 year old baby helped in that decision.

We also have a FPP for Be Our guest for 10:30

We are gonna do tomorrow land at 6 am til 9 then head to talking mickey. Get the baby his first hair cut--wonder if I should do that for my dad too???hmm

We are staying for the noon parade then leaving. For swimming and a nap. Back about 6., Will probably stay til 1am

Plans are a little more official for us as we arrive in SINGLE DIGITs :cool1::bitelip:

Wed: arrive and check in BLT
Thurs: pool day/audition/move to Pop, EARLY to bed
Fri: Up super early, to Mk for 5:40 to catch rope drop
-Rides and characters early, we're Disneybounding as Wendy & Tink!
-8:30 breakfast at CRT
-Some more characters/rides
-12:00pm parade from Frontierland
-Leave MK back to Pop for nap & costume change (Esmerelda and Alice this time around, actual costumes!)
-Arrive back at MK around 5pm
-Pictures and whatever until our dinner ADR at BOG
-Stay til 6am close

Now, my question pertaining to the park being at capacity…is there anything they can do if you have an ADR booked? Will they still not let you in?

it is unlikely that the park will close to capacity where you couldn't get to your ADR. The park closes due to crowds in phases, and that would be one of the last phases. You'll be fine.
