Looks like we're in for rain. It's going to be raining here in GA on Friday & looks like all the way down to FL too. I'm praying that sail-away is not rained out.

Do we have a backup plan for a meet if it's raining???

Ang

I have told My mom & sis, they needed to be done with the laundry and iron today that tomorrow it was all mine!!

Just looked at weather.com. Weather looks clear for GA on Friday but not for FL ... 70% chance of rain in Cape Canaveral. Chance of rain goes down for Sat. Let's keep it that way!

Where in ATL did you live?Ang

I lived in Duluth for 6 years before I got married and DH & I lived in Flowery Branch for 5 years before moving to South Florida. My folks and some of my siblings have lived in the area since 1983. Mom and Dad and one of my sisters currently live in Winder, another in downtown ATL and one of my brothers lives in Mableton (I've got two more brothers, one in Phoenix, the other in Cincinnati).

I wouldn't worry to much about the weather - I truly think we'll be okay. The rain storms are moving much quicker north/north west than anticipated. It was predicted a 90% chance of rain all day here today and low and behold, everything moved north overnight and we've got nothing but sunshine! Even the local Orlando/Cocoa weather has dropped the rain chance to 50% on Friday and 30% on Saturday!

And, for those of us who will be in Cocoa on Friday, the shuttle is supposed to land sometime that day - listen for the sonic booms as she enters the earth's atmosphere!

I'm in Cincinnati..well, sort of. In the northern suburbs, but just say Cincinnati...it's easier than explaining where I live!
So excited now...only 3 more days...make that sunshine stay, OK?

Ok, so what's the best way to get booze on the ship. Checked luggage or carry-on. I'm sure I could pack it so it wouldn't break but wondered of they'd take it out. That much liquid in a carry-on can get heavy...

Backup Plan for Meeting if it is raining.....

Meet at the same time in the Promenade Lounge (right by the Internet Cafe)

That way, those who want to party can easily get to the Lobby Atrium after a quick hello.

I've been told that it has to be carried on. Some people have said that they've packed it and it never got confiscated, but I'm not taking any chances. I have a light weight carry thing on wheels. It's meant for carrying groceries from the car or laundry to the laundry room...if you lived in an apartment. Any rolling fold-up duffel works.

Darn....first I missed the launch, now I'll miss the BOOM. I'm sure it will land before we do at 6:30.
Hmmm....I wonder if the shuttle landing has an effect on the airline schedules?

I've been reading that it has to be carried on now.

Can I pack a corkscrew in my luggage?

Yes, you an pack a corkscrew. I had about 20 of them in my bags last time, they were lime green, and an FE gift!!

I NEED to get off here and start cleaning the house!!! That's the last on my "To Do" list before the knee shot tomorrow and getting my toes and nails done.

Hi
I have a son who will be 5 on the ship and am looking for kids his age! We hope to meet up with you! We are Mark, Mona and Jake from Nashville, TN!!!
keep in touch!
Mona
hi there! We will probably be seeing you in the kids program. we are from Naples and my son's name is Jacob.

Hey Julia, did you get your FE made last night?

Ang

I got it half done then gave up as it did not turn out like I expected - I guess it just needs to survive the week and then we will plan well in advance for next cruise :rotfl:

I have to leave early to take Taryn to the orthodontist today - then go pick up gift cards at the mall for her friends B'day and for teachers gifts and stop by her friend.

I am then planning to get me FE finished, my last FE gifts completed and packed. All our papers etc in order to take with. My packing done or at least 90% done as I know it will be finished last minute.

I need to clean the fridge out tonight as trash pick up is tomorrow. Deliver the tortoise to my mom and I already booked the dogs into the kennel as the one we were leaving them at called yesterday to say they were worried about Sparkle as she tries to find an exit so they don't want to take her incase:confused3:confused: Not happy with these dog hassles the last month!!
