I'm down to my last day of work ... !

Was up until 11:00 last night ironing & packing. DH decided that he would just iron his clothes on the ship ... have fun ... I WON'T be the one doing it. I ironed all of my & the girls clothes then neatly rolled them. Whatever wrinkles we get from being packed should fall out easily with the Downy Wrinkle Release. I'm NOT ironing on the ship! I will do a load of laundry mid-week though.

Still have more packing to do. The clothes is done. Now I just have to pack toilets, medicines, shoes, etc. That list is still long.

I think you have to send all of your ironing to the shipboard laundry service if you need things pressed.

You can't iron on the ship so don't worry, hahaha!

I'm leaving work in about 30 minutes and we hope to be on the road to Cocoa by noon. It's gorgeous down here but the rain starts about two hours north so we'll be in the thick of it soon enough. So much for the beach but WE'RE ON VACATION!!!! We'll probably do Ron Jon's tomorrow and go see a movie since we'll be rained out.

Darn, I didn't realize that the laundry facilities are not on every floor. We're on the 5th & there doesn't appear to be laundry there. Oh well! Also reading that the washers are now the high efficiency ones. I bought the 1 load liquid Tide packets. Does anyone know if I can use that in those washers? Or do I need to go out quick & look for something different???!!!

EVERYTHING is packed and ready to go into the car.
I'm getting ready now to print my boarding pass, our flight leaves at 8:10 tomorrow morning.

I have my knee shot at 11:00 and then go to my nail gal....I'd had it planned the other way around, but the doc changed that, so I hope I'm not in too much pain to sit and get my toes done. That's SO important, don't you know!

We'll be eating out tonight, I hate cooking the night before I leave.

It's $15 plus a 15% gratuity for a total of $17.25. On the other hand if you fill a wine glass up beforehand and bring it into the dining room, the charge is zero.

Are they for sure high efficiency or just front loaders? Not all front loaders are HE machines. But yes...if they are HE, then you should use HE detergent. Regular detergent creates more suds...HE detergent is supposed to be formulated to create less suds. I have HE machines and this is what I was told when I purchased them.

That's what we do. We even have a friend who brings a carafe!!

Even if they are HE and you have regular detergent, just use less detergent than you normally would. If they are "regular" machines and not HE...and you bring HE detergent, just use a little more. It will work fine.

HE machines should say somewhere on them that they are HE. It would seem strange to me that DCL would install HE machines and not the proper detergent. Or maybe they don't care. I just know what I was told...and what LG says to use for the machines, so I don't take any chances and I use Tide HE. The machines use so little water, that I think that is why you need the HE detergent. I know some say to just use half the amount & use regular...but I was told that is not the same as using HE.
