May 23, 2009 (5/23/09) E. Caribbean w/Tortola

I did 5 loads of laundry today. That's the last I plan on doing. The boys are now on their own.
:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I'll do mine when I get off the cruise, then re-pack for Omaha....but they're STILL on their own. :lmao: I LOVE IT!!!

I too have been doing laundry since I got home from work, from last week and the week end. I am so ready to be done with work this week...

I am not doing the FE was just offering up my services to help my fellow cruisers:rolleyes1 We signed up too late for me to even think about it this time!!

Ahhh.....well, you know where to find me if you need a nip. :rolleyes1

My cabin is up for alcohol. Don't know where I'll be - right now 6634 but if the price is right we will be on deck 8 :woohoo:

Last call for AL-CO-HOL

Please, if you can, respond with a hearty "YO HO" if you want to see a little nip or two show up in your FE.

Only those who DO want them.

It might be a good idea for those who want them to also jot down eachother's names. That way, if you get something you don't like, you can call another person's room and trade.

Snarfle.gif

That would be yes for us, the Graham's (2504) and yes for the Vallejo's (2502). Thanks!!!

It is POURING rain right now. We needed it. We had 13 days in a row of 100°+.....maybe this will cool things down a little. And at least settle the dust for a day.

Just as long as it doesn't rain all week. I live on the "wrong side" of a big creek that floods. When it does, I can't get out. BUT....if it looks like it's going to be bad, I'll grab my bags and go stay at our apartment getaway.

Stacey- you are right. You do live on the wrong side of the creek. It is sprinkling here (and we only live maybe 2 miles apart as the crow flies.) You got the pouring rain, I get the sprinkles. Go figure. But as I was driving home from work (I work up a mountain-not a huge one, but I get a view of the whole valley when driving home) There were huge lighting flashes from all over. It was just beautiful. But, alas, I think it is done with now. Maybe tomorrow night.

We're good for alcohol too. 5639

Only Dh will drink it but i wouldn't want him to miss out.

Hope you're enjoying your time here in ATL. It was a little chilly here today & will be quite nippy in the a.m.

Ang

I'm actually enjoying it. Work is work, obviously i'd rather not be working but i really like the place. Had lunch at Atlanta Grill with a client and that was lovely food and atmosphere, and i was amazed at the price - so cheap for a top quality restaurant - compared to the uk it was cheap anyway.

I don't mind the chill, its warmer than back home, not keen on the wind tho, means my hair is like scarecrow wild for meetings :lmao:

DH arrives tomorrow.:dance3::banana::cool1:

OMG- here it comes...ready or not!!! :cool1: Not packed at all. Just got the washing machine fixed after a week out of service. :scared:Started the LAUNDRY TRAIN at 6 pm last night. :laundy: Now the dryer is soooo slow!!:headache:

Hey, we are 2583 (DH & ME) and 2585. No FE's but we will be participating in lots of NIPS and SIPS. :drinking: DH is picking up some little bottles of vodka and rum. He believes the Sail Away drinks are skimpy on the alcohol.:stir:

I prepaid our tips and parasailing. We will probably use our OBCs for a wine package or bottles of wine. Slapping the Disney rewards on our OB account and hopefully we won't owe too much more when we get off the Magic.:woohoo:

Still can't believe we have not even a porthole, but at least the sun won't wake us up!

Look for us in our bright green logo shirts at the Sail Away!

Leigh

PS Could someone PM me the cruise list spread sheet? I want to encourage the girls (12,14,16) to seek out friends from the DIS- so they can see that their mom is not the only DIS fanatic!! :disrocks:

Anyone interested in joining us to head over to Speedy's in Tortola to go to the Bath's. We are going to meet outside Studio Sea's at 8-8.15am.
The first ferry is at 9am.

Have a great day and safe travels for those heading out.

Safe travels to all. is any one going to Grills for Dinner Friday?

While we are currently being deluged with rain and stormy weather today (which we desperately need!) and possibly for the next two days, here's what NOAA said this morning...

"SATELLITE IMAGES AND SURFACE OBSERVATIONS INDICATE THAT THE WEAK
AREA OF LOW PRESSURE LOCATED NEAR THE CENTRAL BAHAMAS IS BECOMING ABSORBED BY A LARGER NON-TROPICAL LOW CENTERED OVER FLORIDA. DEVELOPMENT OF THIS SYSTEM NOW APPEARS UNLIKELY...AND THE AIR FORCE RESERVE HURRICANE HUNTER AIRCRAFT MISSION SCHEDULED FOR TODAY HAS BEEN CANCELED. IN ADDITION...LITTLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NON-TROPICAL LOW OVER FLORIDA IS EXPECTED AS IT MOVES WESTWARD INTO THE GULF OF MEXICO AT 10 MPH OVER THE NEXT DAY OR TWO. THERE IS A LOW CHANCE...LESS THAN 30 PERCENT...OF TROPICAL CYCLONE DEVELOPMENT IN THIS AREA DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS."

Woo-Hoo!

We might, we haven't decided if we are going to go there or to Titusville to Dixie Crossroads...decisions, decisions....

Still undecided. If we decide to do it, we'll be there at Studio Sea at 8:00 AM.

We will probably do this...if so we will be there by 8:15. Thanks for doing the researching for Speedys!!
