They also have a new program for the late seating where the club CMs will come to the dining room and pick up the kids and take them to the club 45 - 60 minutes into the meal. You just tell your server that the kids are doing the dine and play thing.

You all are spending too much time here at home on the meets thread and not venturing out onto the main board. ;)

I can check at least one thing off my list ... I ordered my rewards card from my Disney Visa. I have over 300 points.

LOL! That's what I figured. :thumbsup2 I just sent a note to John about this change with the links so that he can pass the info on there. Just when you think you know it all about DCL they switch it up on us. :headache:

It's just all too confusing.:headache: I guess I'm at the point where I don't care what time I eat, or what rotation it is, as long as I get to EAT! :thumbsup2

True...no one will starve unless they want to. At least you get to enjoy the old menus one more time. :cool1: Someone have a lava cake for me!!! :lovestruc

I'm on the phone with DCL right now and all their information says it is still staggered. I wonder if the ship was trying out switching? Or if they haven't bothered to tell the home office.

OK...I just did this too...for the first time! I got the card and activated it. So now do I just take it to guest services once onboard the ship and they will put it on my account?? Is that how it works?

Who did you call? Disney's guest services, DCL themselves, or dining?

They'll ask for a credit card at check in, so just give it to them then. If they won't take it, then go to guest services....but if there's a line the first day, wait until the 2nd day.

Just a tip. Be careful with the dress code for Palo. Last cruise I was openly embarassed in front of a large group over my attire. I had a nice jacket and slacks and a collarless dress shirt. A bit of a disply ensued as I was asked to go change. Not sure if this is new policy because I'd worn the same thing on 3 other cruises without issue. If so it should be better publicized. Maybe I just got away with it three other times!! I noticed 3 other guys having the same issue though, and they were unaware as well.

That was an odd trip all around, service in Palo was aweful and the food average at best. Might have been just a fluke but enough to sour my wife and I to the whole thing. We'll not go back... :sad2:

That said, I think you should definately go to Palo at least once, especially if this is your first cruise. Atmosphere is (usually) nice and service is typically outstanding.

We have always done Palo's for dinner - love the souffle which is about the only choc I love and go there for that. I thought I had read about a dress code change but guess I shouldn't have told Aubrey he does need the tie so quickly :rotfl:

I called special accounts at DCL. She read the information right off their intranet.

I will double check next week when I'm onboard.

We ordered ours last week and already received it!! I haven't called to load the $$ on it yet since I'm waiting until this month's reward dollars are added to it. Right now we have $437!!!! We will be using it while at Disney after the cruise for our food and ADR's!

We leave two weeks from today! Lots to get done in just a little bit of time.

Dr just put me on insulin yesterday. (and this kind made my mom really really sick, but we're going to see how it works for me).

Stacey, I dont' think i ever answered your question about mom drinking something for her BP dropping...they are trying to take fluids off of her, so she shouldn't really drink anything, but when it does go too low we get her a soda from the machine. She actually is doing better now, and they have figured out a way to get the fluids off w/out the drop in BP...we'll see if it works! She's been doing good, though!!

My other dress came in, the one that was on backorder, and it looked horrible on me:scared1: so my mom made me try on one of her dresses and it fits! So now I can send my other ones back, and just keep one that I ordered..great way to save money!!

Thanks Heather, I'm glad they've got it working now for your mom. :flower3:

Had to kind of chuckle about the dress. I was furious yesterday with JCPenney. They lost my online order, and the one tank top I really wanted is no longer in stock. So I drove to the nearest mall (1 hour) and tried one on in the store. I HATED it. :rotfl: So now I guess I'm glad I didn't have to pay for it!!

There was just a thread on the Main Boards where someone wanted to know if her husband could wear flip-flops to Palo DINNER. :sad2:
If they are now insisting on ties, then I have a feeling Mr. FlipFlop will get turned away at the door.

They've never said anything about men in skirts, though......

I just gave my cc at the port, then during the week I went to guest services on board & gave them my rewards card. I had actually forgotten to load all of my points onto the card & that were happy to get that done for me.

You have me beat! I have 386 points & won't get another statement before we leave.

Glad you found a dress that work. That's nice that you are saving $. I went to Target last week & found a bunch of cute dressy tank-tops. I'll be wearing those for cruise casual night.
