May 23, 2009 (5/23/09) E. Caribbean w/Tortola

I had posted previously and received a reply from WiscBill and also TripodJW who encouraged me to sign on. Looking forward to the trip. What excursions should I not miss? I am traveling with my Dad and my son (age 10). Thanks !

You know, I have a ton of the Southwest Airlines drink coupons...but I wonder if they'll cut me off by the time I'm ordering the 7th or 8th drink??? They're going to think I can really hold my liquor...since I'm ordering but not drinking. :rotfl2:

How do you have so many coupons?

Ang

:cool1::cool1: I'm excited. Whatever it is, I'm sure it will be great!

I've got to quick looking at FE threads & doing searches on the 'net. I've seen others that are giving me additional ideas. I'm going to be tweaking my gifts a little ... for the better. Want to go run to Joann's on my way home. Need more supplies & fabric to make my FE.

We fly Southwest all the time. To Omaha (family is all there), to Vegas, to California....so they send them to me in the mail. But I never drink on the planes, except a soda, so I have all the little coupons.
A lot of times I'll take them on a flight and give them to people.

:welcome::welcome::welcome:

For excursions, it depends on what you like to do. If you want to just go to a beach, or if you want some kind of tour....whatever....

I wanted to post this again, in case someone still doesn't know what they want to do in Tortola. Sharon, Kaylah and I are joining Tom and his wife for this awesome excursion. We'll be going to Jost Van **** and will get to go to the famous Soggy Dollar Bar also!!!!

Send a message to StillVibration or to me if you're interested.:thumbsup2

My DW and I have found a catamaran on Tortola that sails with very small groups and gets wonderful ratings. Problem is they will not sail with less than 4 passengers. But the max is 14. They go to the baths and lots of other places. Cost is 110 pp. If anyone is interested and would like to join us please let me know and maybe we can arrange something. I've already been speaking with the captain. If you need reviews try tripadvisor or check out their web page. kuralu.com I've not asked but I would expect to have to pay cash but I can find out. BTW, no worries on time, he promises to get everyone back on time!

I can't believe the Board censored the name of the place I mentioned!!!

I checked up couple of days ago. We still have our cat 10 SPH. I would really love a cat 6 (last cruise was a cat 8) but I'm happy with what we have.
Ang

No upgrades for us either..I just went and checked. We have a cat 6 now. Last cruise..I got one of the 4 partially blocked verandah rooms (7120) and were upgraded to a cat 5 full verandah room.

I went shopping today to get more things for the cruise & week stay at Disney. Shampo/Conditioner/Soap/ razors/plastic utensils (for SSR room)

I started filling out our online check-in forms for the cruise. I'm going to post a different thread, but thought I'd ask here as well...

If you put a credit card down for the cruise, but have a stateroom credit and put cash down...do they use the cash and stateroom credit BEFORE the credit card??

The stateroom credit will be used first.

Welcome to the group.
My son is 11 and looking forward to this cruise and meeting the other boys his age.

I haven't checked our reservation to see if we've been moved. Not much point to it, since we're in an accessible room and the only move would be all the way up to a Cat 3. That's not gonna happen!

Hey Guys, I'm a little scared:scared1: to ask this, but we do not plan to have passports for our three girls (12, 14, and 16). According to the folks at DCL resv. the date was moved forward to June 1st to require them and we get off the ship on May 30th. Hubby and I have them from 2005, but I chose not to spend the money. Am I crazy? Will I regret this? What is everybody else doing? :confused3 Thanks, Leigh

The only problem would be if you have to fly home for any reason, you will not be able to do so (or if you miss the ship). They would not be required after June 1 on this type of cruise (closed loop), but again flying home they would be required (not from St. Thomas but all other stops).
