May 21-27 attendance ?

We are planning a trip May 21 - 27 - Does anyone know when the Memorial Day crowd starts coming in - we are hoping to miss it since we depart on Friday 27th. Is it just that weekend ( 27-30) that is BUSY or does it start earlier in the week?

We went the same time last year and found that it was pretty crowded even before the weekend. We had to use fast pass alot. The temp was very hot and humid as well so it made it seem even more crowded.

Thanks for the info - I was hoping to miss part of the crowd for Memorial Day Weekend - it looks like it starts getting heavy on Thursday - I will keep all that in mind when planning - We went in June the last 2 times so I am use to the heat - though I still don't like it -

We will be there those same dates. I've been in mid-May before, but not quite this close to the holiday. I'm hoping for just average crowds, hopefully no hour-long waits and sold out fast passes like we've experienced at MK during MLK weekend and the week after New Years! Hopefully the EMH hours will help out.

I will be there as well May 27-June 1, but since I would have just come back from a long stay in Feb/March, this is going to be more of a resort trip and maybe just one or two days at the parks max.

Wow - I would love to be there when there are no waits longer than an hour and FP doesn't sell out - Both our trips in JUne were great but I thought it was busy - So even a little bit less of a crowd will seem great to me - LOL I am hoping that EMH will help too - I just am not sure how to plan for that yet though! I'm keeping my eyes open for the schedule.

We are trying to figure out the must do's too - LOL I am patiently waiting for the park hours and EMH to be released so that can help with the planning - RIght now I am going by last years hours trying to figure out what days for which parks. We are going to try to do one full day at each park , 1 water park day and Disney Quest. We definately want to try Stitch at MK and Mickey's Phil Harmagic is a must and we want to try Soarin' at Epcot - also last year we missed Mission Space so that is a must this time! Also going to go to Hoop Dee Doo Review for this first time

So what are your plans so far kdtwiss? Maybe if we wear lime green we will run into a bunch of Disers. My first trip I met 2 people from the boards and my DH was amazed - last year we went with a big group so I didn't look for lime green - though I would have said Hi if I saw any!

We were there this past year the entire week before Memorial Day. It was much more crowded than our previous trip in October of 2002. It was also unusually hot for May. Having said that, we had a wonderful trip. We arrived at the parks at opening, took our afternoon breaks, and stayed until closing. MK was the only place where the crowds were really bad. The other 3 parks were fine. Blizzard Beach also got crowded in middle afternoon. But early and late was wonderful there. Our kids are having to stay in school a week later this year or we would go again. Plan for the crowds and you will be fine.

Thanks LBS! We have only been in June and there have always been crowds so I am use to that - One of these times I may have to plan a visit during a slower time just to see what I am missing
