May 20th 2006 Western Magic Cruise - Who's Going?

nothing against cozumel, but i too hope we go to costa maya. the ruins tours "sounds" more exciting at costa maya (and quicker).
the first time i used the cruisecal web site, it showed the magic being at costa maya, but as posted above, now it shows cozumel.....

It is a packet with info about excursions and whatnot. You should have gotten it about 2 months ago. It also had the date that you would be able to book Palo, excursions, spa appts., etc.

Thank you anty,

but guess what was in my mail today !!! :sunny:

Julie - Here is our pre-stay information May 16th POFQ, 17th Boardwalk Garden Suite (me), Leif is spending that night at POFQ (night before the wedding), 18th and 19th the POLY. 57 days til the wedding and 59 days to the cruise...yeah baby!!! (If I did the math right) I am so ready to hang out on our balcony! I can't wait to see everyone on the 20th. Forgive us if we yawn alot that day...we would have been up since 3am taking pictures at 5am at the Magic Kingdom. So if we fall asleep in our food, really it is not a reflection on anyone's company.

Thanks for putting together the list of cruisers, callahanjulie! Looks like we have 15 groups now.

Has anyone decided what they are going to do on Cozumel? I was really hoping we would go to Costa Maya so we could do the Chaccobhen Ruins Tour but I'm really not sure what we should do on Cozumel.

Donna

We booked the Fury Cat. Sail Snorkel, and Beach Party at 12:30 in Coz.
At this point I don't care where we go, I just want to get on the boat and have a cool, refreshing, tropical cocktail in hand. :drinking1 party:

Thanks anty30! I've narrowed my choices down to the Fury Catamaran and the Cozumel Ruins tour. Anyone else?

Hello everyone! I just booked for the May 20th cruise! It's our first cruise. DH & I will be bringing our DD (3 years) and DD (8 months). Will be there at least the night before but not sure yet....so many reservations at once!

I tried to register for Palo for anykind of dinner, brunch, tea but there's nothing available. It says to check in onboard. What are the chances of actually getting a ressie on board? My husband has been working on a movie since Sept. and I haven't spent any time with him so we desparately need one night to ourselves. I was really looking forward to one night (especially since we paid an arm and a leg to book last minute)!

Any advice would be appreciated as I sit here and cry! :sad1:

Welcome Faith & Hope. Give us your stats. Where are you from? Celebrating anything special?
Don't worry about getting ressies, from what I have read on these boards you can get them pretty easy once onboard. A lot of people cancel, and I understand they also leave slots open. :grouphug:

Hi everybody,

is there already a list which movies are shown during our cruise? I want to inform myself before we are flying, because I am not familiar with the english titles (In Germany they are translated). I know there is a 1-888... phone number, but I cannot call this number from Germany.

Thanks in advance,

Oliver

Hello again everyone! We will be flying in from Los Angeles, CA probably on the 18th but haven't decided where we are staying yet. Too many reservations at once!! This is our first cruise and after reading the DIS boards, boy....I'm overwhelmed! My husband keeps reminding me that this is supposed to be somewhat relaxing for us but with so much going on, when do you relax...lol???

Anyone else out there with an infant that will be doing Flounder's or with a 3 year old doing the kids club?

I have been out of town for our spring break and am a little behind but hopefully this is everyone. Weather is beautiful in Florida right now I am ready to leave NOW :cheer2:

Faith & Hope- depending on when you fly into Orlando would help with the pre-stay decision. If you are coming in during the day, I would either rent a car one way to Port Canaveral or get a Lucky towncar to take you. I know that Radisson has shuttle to the port but there are some new hotels that do that as well, I just don't know which ones they are! We have always stayed at Radisson and enjoyed it but this year are going down a couple of days in advance and staying at Ron Jon Resort.
As far as Palo and such, don't worry - they will have some reservations when you board. I would send DH with the kids to get lunch at Topsiders and you go first thing and get Palo, then meet them at Topsiders. It won't be as hectic as you think.
This vacation will be relaxing for you, DH and the girls. My DD was 6 the first time we took one on DCL and it was the first time I had totally relaxed knowing she was happy in the Club. It really helped me and my DH enjoy our time.
I would also think about doing the Exotic Rasul or one of the new villas for private time with DH. Very relaxing and very private :teeth:
You might be able to do this online and then register the girls online in the Club and Flounder's. Coordinate the times for each.
Glad you came onboard- we are going to have a blast :cheer2:

Wow I was wrong! Few changes in the resies.
1.) My mom actually booked a cat 9 w/ windows! I'm suprised, it's on the first floor, but thats alright, easy access for castaway cay!!! :woohoo:
2.) Add a Step-Granpa and Step-grandma
3.) Drop little brothers friend, (he couldnt come)
4.) add another friend from work
5.) Add another friend for olderstep brother (17)

So overall the whole group is 12

I cant wait for the cruise to get here now! :hourglass So who would be up for a get-together at the sail away party? Oh, and my mom is bringing loads of bubbles! thats always fun!

:hourglass

Hi everybody,

I just booked the perfect birthday present for my wife: Victoria&Albert for May-19, the perfect start für the cruise! :woohoo:

Unfortunatly no chief table :furious: (they are all booked for the week)

I thought that already packing the suit and her dresses for the formal cruise dinner this is (finally after several WDW visits) the best opportunity to try this restaurant.

(Her birthday is on Apr-5, so I hope she doesn't find this forum before her b-day) :rolleyes1

""I would also think about doing the Exotic Rasul or one of the new villas for private time with DH. Very relaxing and very private :teeth: ""

Haha! You read my mind! I tried to book this online but there's only times available that are when we are port during the day. There's nothing for at sea days or later at night. Either they don't book these ahead of time or these slots are already taken. Does anybody know about registering for the spa? I know you can also book on board but if there's nothing available now, do they set aside some times for those booking on ship?

Thanks!
