May 20th 2006 Western Magic Cruise - Who's Going?

My excursion in Coz. has changed times. It was scheduled for 12:30 and now it showing it at 9am. Anybody else have excursion times changed for Coz.?

Mine did too. We have the Coz ruins and beach break booked and now it says 9 a.m. too. According to cruisecal.com we aren't even supposed to be there until 10:30. I wonder what is going on.

I definately would not like doing a meet between dinner rotations, that is probably my bussiest time all day long I dont know what we should do for the meet now. We have the early dinner seating.

I think between dinners will be too hard and too rushed. With shows and dressing, it is a hectic time. Poor us--- so busy
We could have a mini meet the day we board and then set up something else at a later time that we could bring our postcards to share. We had a DIS meet with Inkoginto in one of the bars in the daytime when nothing was going on there. The captain even stopped by- of course- Inkognito is royality on DCL

Hello everyone,
We are SO excited about this cruise and this sounds like a great group of people to join on our very first cruise. DS11 and DD6 are registered at the clubs and my husband and I are looking forward to some adult time. If anyone has same age children looking for new friends, please let us know. We'll be at the Radisson on the 19th. Has anyone ever booked a private charter in either GC or Cozumel? DH and DS are certified scuba divers and it may work out better for us to have more flexibility. Also, DS is also going to be a couple of weeks shy of his 12th birthday and DCL age is 12+ for diving excursions.

There is so much good information here! Have the Passporter, but this is the best! Looking forward to sharing a cocktail (or two..) with you all. We're in stateroom 8080 and have late dinner seating.

Is it time to get on the ship yet???

Welcome MacandCo. We will also be at the Radisson on the 19th. DD is 8 and DS is 5. We booked an Island Tour and Stingray Swim with Native Way in GC. It meets on the pier at 9:30am, I think. Glad you came over. Where are you from?

We'll be on our first cruise ever on May 20th. Category 5 on deck 7 (don't know what room yet). We'll be celebrating DH's last b-day in his 30's & our 12th wedding anniversary.

I'm not familiar with anyone from the DIS Cruise boards....I'm a Community Board poster. I'm a little on the shy side (don't laugh Auntie L, if you're reading this!)

Is there a particular DIS meet set up already? If so, can you direct me to details?

We don't have a meet set up yet but hopefully we will be able to get one set up- we will actually probably have more than 1. Also- we are going to bring postcards or something that represents our town or state to share with everyone.
MacandCo and I both live on Panama City Beach, Fl so we will have to coordinate so that we don't bring the same thing!
As you can see from the above list, we have quite a group going. If you would like to share pre-stay info, feel free. Hopefully everyone staying at Ron Jon with us can all meet up around the pool and eat pizza and have a drink or 2! Maybe the rest can do the same. Anyway- until next post

My family is cruising.....we're all virgin cruisers!

DH, me, DS (10), DS (4).

Just returned from Walmart....I bought an over the door shoe holder, Bonine, Dramimine non-drowsy & regular Dramimine & also Equate! (I get whoozy looking at a glass of water so I'm not taking any chances!) I'm sure if I down one of each with a nice tall glass of Vodka ~ I should be fine, right?

We're staying at the Pop Century on the 19th. Driving in from the Detroit area (stopping for the night in Atlanta). Still cheaper than paying airfare for 4 people!

Hi everyone! Just wanted to let you know that DH fell this week when sorting cattle and dislocated his shoulder and tore his rotator cuff. He is scheduled to have surgery to repair it on Tuesday providing nothing else shows up Monday during his CT scan. His doctor thinks he will still be able to go on the cruise barring any complications. I checked with our travel insurance and they said as long as his doctor clears him to go, he would be covered if anything happened to his shoulder on the cruise and he needed medical assistance. So, please keep him in your prayers that the surgery goes well and there are no complications! He's really nervous as he had the same surgery on the same shoulder 4 1/2 years ago following another injury on the farm and a 2nd dislocation during his sleep.

I'm really superstitious now because we had to reschedule our 1st Disney cruise in 2003 because my father became ill (and passed away 3 days later) while we were at WDW and we had to return home the day before our cruise. Thankfully, I did get home in time to be with my Dad. We finally took that cruise in May, 2004 and rebooked this one while on board. If we don't get to take this cruise, I will never book another because I will be so scared that something bad will happen.

So please keep him in your prayers! Thanks!
