I completely empathize with how you feel, and I'm really sorry.I like Strawberries, grapes, watermelon, cantaloupe, apples every once in awhile and same with bananas. I also like peaches and plums.
I got word yesterday that starting in June I will have to go into the office every Monday. So once a week. UGH!!! I don't want to go. We can do our whole job at home and there is no reason to be in the office right now.
I am not sure if I mentioned this last week that she had a a drive by party for my nephews 21st birthday on May 3rd. Well when we got there is was a party in her front yard. I still only did a drive by and dropped his gift off in the grass and even snapped at my sister and nephew to stay back as they were getting to close to me. Still 6 feet but to close for my liking right now (this is so sad). She snapped back that they are further then 6 feet away. Well This past Sunday she told us that she is sick. Fever, slight cough, slight runny nose, horrible stomach pains, no energy what so ever and her joints hurting. She thinks she has Salmonella and won't get tested. I think she has COVID. The symptoms fit with stories I have read. My niece that lives in the house works at a nursing home. She has very low cognitive skills and has been through lots of trauma in her life. She was taking from her mother because of abuse and later it was found out the the step-dad sexually abused her. If she got someone at the nursing home sick and they died she would never forgive herself. My sister really needs to get herself tested and my niece needs to stay home. She doesn't have the thought process to think of telling her work that my sister is sick and that she needs to stay home. She just knows she is not sick and is fine. My sister is most likely telling her she is fine to go into work. Ugh!!! There is nothing I can do. My mom has been talking to my sister and trying to convince her to get tested. I hope she does soon.
This is why I do not want to go back in the office. My sister has not socially distanced at her house at all. How can I be sure people at work have. Oh the anxiety I am going to have in June.
Already shared my back-to-work woohoo! And that I'm headed over to Port Townsend Friday!
My planned reward for reaching onederland is to purchase my first article of clothing from one of my favorite sustainable fashion companies, Conscious Clothing. Their lead time is fairly long, so I went ahead and ordered it yesterday. I won't quite be in onderland when it arrives, but I'm going to hang it on the outside of the closet door and it will be my visual daily motivation. This is something I've been dreaming about for well over a year, so I am giddy about being close to having it come to fruition.
My woohoo is that I am on schedule to hit my goal this month. My goal is to walk an average of 45 minutes a day which equals to 1395 minutes for the month. I just hit 50% of that goal with my walking yesterday. So I am ahead of schedule right now. I am also down about a pound.
I feel like I am finally getting into a groove and so i will have to go back in the office. Even though it is only 1 day a week, I will need to figure out my walking to keep getting my minutes in. I won't be going to the gym as work. I think they are still closed but also they were far from being clean when i was going. So even if they were open I wouldn't be going. I also don't want to walk in the building outside of our office. SO right now I think I will just walk laps in the office.
Great work by your DS!It's early, so I don't have much for today yet, but yesterday I managed to balance three months worth of bank statements!
And DS's grades are in: Bs and B+s, in spite of the online transition.![]()
Congratulations on your progress! And great idea with the visual motivation.Already shared my back-to-work woohoo! And that I'm headed over to Port Townsend Friday!
For some reason I've dropped a couple pounds this week, where it is normally just one pound per week. That means I've lost -4 lbs against the -5 lb or more goal for the month... quite pleased with this. I can really see the weight loss in my face... clothing is still fitting but loosely and some things that were too tight are fine now.
I've been walking in my All Birds, which are pretty light weight fabric shoes, but this morning I remembered I had a pretty nice pair of walking shoes buried somewhere in the spare closet and managed to dig them out, so proper shoes for my walk this morning.

That is an impressive goal and significant progress! Way to go!My woohoo is that I am on schedule to hit my goal this month. Sound alike you’re working hard for your students and your family while at home, plus you have a good plan in place for fall just in case. Good thinking to plan ahead!Sorry to be MIA.
I've been very busy with school work. I'm helping my daughter edit/write her new comedy set. I'm trying really hard not to freak out about my husband's coworker...no results yet.
This morning I had my first telemed doctor's appointment with my asthma specialist. She is very supportive, and will write whatever documentation I might need if I am forced to apply for FMLA when school opens. I'm really hoping that we will remain online, but I'm concerned that I will be back in the classroom. They seem to think that if the class sizes are smaller, we will be safer. Umm, it only takes one kid carrying Covid19 to get the rest of us sick. There's no social distancing with children, especially the age group I teach. If I don't feel like I will be safe, I will contact my doctor for support.
I agree! Tracking what I eat forces me to pay attention and make better choices! It also helps me control my treats. Like tonight I had a small piece of chocolate as a treat, but not the whole chocolate bar! But mostly I’m snacking on carrots between healthy meals. Tomorrow I’m going to cut up the watermelon to snack on.My WooHoo is that I lost 2.5 pounds this week. It's the first time I've tracked my food in a long time and it is working. I know for me, tracking is half the battle. When I track, I pay attention and think about good food choices. It also helps me that DD1 is living at home right now and also trying to watch what she eats, so we have each other to lean on - and also someone else to help eat all the fruits and veggies that I've been buying each week!
Hope the truck is fixed and you got it back today...or soon!So instead of getting my truck back today or tomorrow I get it back on Wednesday at the earliest if not by the end of the week.
My daughter started doing this with blueberries. We’ve never been one to eat much yogurt, but it’s sounds good. I’ll have to give it a try!I am anxiously awaiting strawberries. I love them with vanilla Greek yogurt for lunch.
This must be so difficult for you. Sending a little pixie dust your way to hopefully help ease your anxiety!I like Strawberries, grapes, watermelon, cantaloupe, apples every once in awhile and same with bananas. I also like peaches and plums.

That looks amazing! Sadly, we had to cancel our first family trip to an all-inclusive resort. We were supposed to go to Mexico this summer as a combined celebration of the twins 16th birthday and our 20th wedding anniversary. The resort is reopening next month, but we are not comfortable leaving the country while all of this with the virus is still uncertain. So we booked a house in the Outer Banks instead. So I’ve been looking at beach pictures for the last two days just dreaming of being able to get away. Glad you were able to enjoy a night away and a walk on the beach! Just curious are you in a red county in PA or are you in the yellow? I’m originally from central PA (Selinsgrove) and they are now yellow and starting to lift restrictions. But here in southeast PA, we are still red.yView attachment 494573
My woohoo is we snuck off to the beach today to check on some work being done on our house! We drove straight through and brought our food. And we were easily able to practice social distancing on our walk on the beach. It was such a nice
break in our routine. We’ll head home tomorrow but I really enjoyed getting away even for just a day!
Health wise, I got on the scale this morning and have maintained my weight loss. As ski mom says, tracking what I eat makes all the difference, whether I am trying to lose or maintain.
I have been struggling with my eating during this Stay at Home order
