May 2011 Check In-And May Has Arrived!!!!

Any idea what "The Magic, The Memories and You" is?? It's apparently playing at 7:30 on a couple of our evenings.

:wave2: Annette

The Magic, The Memories and You is a projector show on the facade of It's a Small World. They infuse pictures taken in the parks that day into a show...I've seen a clip of it online and it looks like a lot of fun. If you want the chance to have your picture in the show you need to have you picture taken by photopass photographers before 3pm on the day you are going to watch it. There is no guarantee you will be on it. We are planning on hitting up a bunch of photopassers on the day we are going to see it...and have been affectionately refering to the show as "Disney's Jumbo-Tron"

We are going May 22 through the 25...Sunday to Wednesday...staying at the HoJo for the first time...I'm so excited! It's my husband and DD Ella, she is almost 5. We cant decide when to tell her...we went 1 1/2 years ago and she remembers it well...so she is going to be SO thrilled to find out we are going again!

I am anxiously awaiting the entertainment schedule to post for our days..

I'm so excited!!! The entertainment schedule finally posted for my dates and they will be showing F! I was so worried as I'd heard it would be down most of May, but super excited it will be up. I think DF and DB will love it! Super excited now!!!

Yaaay!! It looks like the first night F! is back up is Friday, May 13th which happens to be our last day in DL! We fly home on the 14th. I have 7:40 dinner ps at Cafe Orleans, so my plan is to take a tip I read here ages ago and eat dinner there outside, then stick around to watch F! from the CO patio.

I booked hotel yesterday :cool1:

This is the update:

May 22nd to the 25th in GCH!!!!

So excited :goodvibes

Oh...:sad1: not quite what I was hoping for. Thanks alot for the info anyway Jessica!

I just noticed that they have not posted hours of early closure on the Grad Nights in May on the Disneyland Calender (Hours of operation.) Or, is it because they close at 8 PM anyway on some of those Grad nights that they didn't post anything??

Looks like last few weeks of May might be less crowded, what with no Johnny Depp (May 7th, first week he is there for the POTC IV premiere), splash mountain is still closed (until May 26), no Little Mermaid or Star Tours (until later May) and early closure park hours during the week. What do you guys think, will it be crowded mid-May or no? Thanks!

I will be flying into San Diego on May 21, for a business trip. I will be going solo to DL on either the 21 or 22. Since I will have both days to myself, I have been thinking about checking into my hotel in San Diego on the 21, packing an overnight bag to heading to DL. Then possibly get a room in the DL area to do both days.

This will be my first trip to DL.

:sad1::sad: I am so sad. I called today and canceled our trip for May. A family situation has come up and we are not going to be able to go. I was planning on surprising my boys with the trip. So at least they didnt know we were going so they wont be dissapointed.
So unfortunately I will have to leave this thread. But on a happier note, I booked a trip for December! It is a long ways away but at least I have a Disneyland trip to look forward to.

So sorry for the change of plans, Mickeybell. Darn real life getting in the way of seeing Mickey!!!:headache:
Good news that you are able to go for December. This means more time to save $$$ for more spending on goodies!!:dance3:

Mickeybell, sorry to hear about your family situation, but on the bright side, you'll be at Disney during one of the happiest times of the year! So thumbs up, more time to save more $$!! I'd love to go at that time!!

Can anyone tell me about "Bat Days?" We are arriving on the 8th and should be there for the tail end of it...other than hearing they have mickey hats with bat wings on it, I'm just not sure what it is?

That sucks:hug:

See this on the calendar for the days we are there -Pirates of the Caribbean – On Stranger Tides: Sneak Peek in 3D- not exactly sure what all will be going on but should be interesting.

For the poster that asked about bat days they are goth days at the park. Love the idea of mickey heads with bat ears though:laughing:

A business associate of mine was able to get me dinner reservations at Club 33 on May 22. I can now confirm my date as May 22!! I will be doing just the one day.

May is getting close!!! Who is all packed and raring to go? :dance3:

I'm making sure vacation clothes are clean. Hopefully this will be the last weekend of vacation laundry, then I will stack it all up and wait to pack it until the weekend before we leave. I think I finally got the rental car squared away and a coupon for airport parking. I just keep telling myself that every day of work brings me a day closer to DL.

I just made a wal-mart run for some last minute things. We are 29 days out. Is it too soon to start packing some stuff? My husband would say yes,but what do the Dis-ers think???:yay:
