May 2011 Check In-And May Has Arrived!!!!

We (my 2 DD's, my mom and I) will be there May 16th and 17th. We'll be celebrating my 50th birthday (yikes!). Disneyland will be the highlight of our "girls-only" road trip. We'll be driving down from western Washington. We're getting pretty excited -- it's been quite awhile since we've been to Disneyland (2002), and most of us have never been to California Adventure. We'll be staying at the Desert Inn & Suites.

Are there any speculations on ticket promos for May? My ticket money has been burning a hole in my pocket...

Although we badly need this vacation, absolutely everything has been a rack rate for us. I would love one break in costs!

We will be staying at BWPPI.
Checking in on Friday, May 20th and out on Sunday, May 22nd.

If you are at the parks on Friday or Saturday please look for our band to be performing.

I will post the exact schedule as soon as I have it!

They would love to hear lots of cheers from a HUGE crowd!

Change in plans :( It looks like Im probably making this trip alone. But Im still making it! :) Dates changed slightly.

May 8-11 Thinking Park Vue Inn...Havent booked anything yet.

BUT May 11-14th is still DVC@Grand Californian Villas! Although a studio is now booked instead of a 2 bedroom.

We'll be there May 4-7 for my birthday :cool1: This was a spur of the moment trip and we have yet to finalize our hotel yet. So excited.

Checking in for my husband and I May 12-16! Staying at Days Inn and Suites.

Not only will this be our honeymoon, but the 14th is my birthday, and it's DH's first time! I'm just going to ask for all the buttons. :rotfl:

Month from tomorrow! Sooo excited!

2 weeks from yesterday! What is everyone packing? Shorts or jeans? decisions!

No idea! Nor Cal has had a mind of it's own for awhile, hot for a few days then cold and raining again. Don't think I'll be packing until a few days before. When we've gone at this time of year in the past it's been definite shorts weather. Getting so close. :thumbsup2

I am hoping for shorts cause I am so sick of cold weather!!! Even if it ends up raining, I am sure that it will still be warmer than what it is here. So much to do and so little time.

So booked Hojo May 8-11th. Been there many times and it was just hard to try somewhere else :) Did not get any ent rate, but 25% off for booking 3 nights, so its not too bad.
May 11-14 is still DVC, Im SO excited for that!

18 more sleeps!

This will be my 1st solo trip...a little nervous :confused3 but excited at the same time :cool1:

May is getting close!!! Who is all packed and raring to go? :dance3:

Raring to go=YES Packed =NO A little too early, although I think I'll start next weekend after my garage sale on Saturday!!

I just made a wal-mart run for some last minute things. We are 29 days out. Is it too soon to start packing some stuff? My husband would say yes,but what do the Dis-ers think???:yay:

We will be about there when I start packing next weekend! ;) I need to start making my packing list!!

Happy 50th! I will be there next year!! I'd love to go to WDW for my 50th, haven't been for years, and that would be a dream come true! I don't think it will be possible, because I want to bring the kids (teens) and we are going to DL next month, and our daughter (in college now) wants to participate in the Disney college program there starting in the Spring of 2012, and unfortunately we won't be able to get down there then...we went to DL for the first time since 1999 a couple of years ago (2009) and we had never been to California Adventure either! I wish you could have seen it when they had the letters up, and the entrance the way it was, etc. but you will still enjoy it, I can assure you!! Make sure and ride Soarin', Grizzly River Rapids, Monsters Inc, and although I'm a baby and don't go on rides like Tower of TError, a lot of people (including our kids) love it!!

I'm with you on this one...last year they waited until the first part of May to offer them, so let's hope that's a trend that will continue this year!! :wizard:

I wish I was going to be there, but we won't be there for a week after you...good luck, have a lot of fun! Have you stayed at the BWPPI before? We are booked there for now, but I'm considering the Fairfield Inn again, since we are familiar and like it!

2 weeks from yesterday! What is everyone packing? Shorts or jeans? decisions!

I'm packing a little of everything, shorts, capris, and pants, because last year when we were there (although a week earlier) it was chilly in the mornings, and sometimes even in the early afternoons, and I'm from Alaska! :rotfl2: One thing that made me feel a bit chilier is that I was sick  when I first got there, in fact, one of the first meals I had was at Carnation Cafe, chicken noodle soup! I bring pullover lightweight fleece (land's end is my favorite!) cardigans, hoodies, short sleeve shirts, sundress, and more.. bring tennis shoes, Chacos (kind of like Tevas) one pair of dressy sandals and maybe my crocs, if for nothing else to walk around the hotel room as slippers..we'll be on our trip for 2 weeks, but I have to remember not to overpack (always a challenge) because I'm sure I'll buy a few new things too!! :goodvibes

Going on a work trip to San Diego and driving up for a day or two side trip! Probably just one day but haven't decided which yet! :) :rotfl: I need my Disney Fix!!!

I am going solo Memorial Day weekend. Can't wait!!! No one wants to go this trip, so I can do whatever I want!! Yippie...
Would love to meet other Disney fans. Staying at PV.

:tinker::tink:

I have a work trip to San Diego May 21 through the 25th and will be doing a solo day at Disneyland. I would like to hear how the commute was from San Diego to DL.

This will be my first trip to DL. I also have dinner reservations for Club 33. I'm looking forward to seeing both for the first time.

Checking in for May 29-June 2 Staying at the Peacock Suites :)

I just booked airfare for our family:banana: We'll be there Monday, May 23 - Monday, May 30 (Memorial Day). Our original plan was to come home on Saturday, the 28th, but then the price for a return flight on Monday dropped to the same price as Saturday, so we figured we may as well stay. This way we can go to the beach or KBF or San Diego as well.

Haven't decided on a hotel yet. Thinking of Ayres or Desert Inn & Suites or ??

Does anyone know what is going on Monday the 23rd - Wednesday the 25th? Several hotels are already booked for those nights, but have lots of openings for the rest of the week and even Memorial Day weekend.

One suitcase is now packed. After the rest of the laundry is done I can hopefully pack the other one and get the carry-on mostly packed. Still have about 10 days but between work and taking the dogs to the in-laws next weekend, I'd rather stay on top of the packing. A week to think about what I might have forgotten to pack is better than a day.

I haven't even started packing. I just finished the video that we are using to let the kids know we are going. I printed out the information for the information booklets about Disneyland for those who have never been there before. I just have to go to Staples and make copies. 29 pages per book. total 87 pages:scared1: and I need to finish making up the autograph books. Then I get the luxury of packing. Oh and I have to do this all at night so that DD doesn't clue in. :rotfl:
