Thankfully, DD napped for a few hours and so did we. Tonight was the Pirate and Princess Party and we knew it was going to be a late one. We arrived in MK at 6pm.
To enter MK under the train station, you walk on red carpet through a fog-filled entryway. It's quite cool and sets the stage for our pirate adventure.
We picked up the booty bag and got some jewels. DD learned really quickly that the "x" marks the spot for jewels or necklaces! After the first time through, she needed no more encouragement and would spot the big X from afar and go running over to it. I was laughing and glad she had a good time.
We rode Buzz and the line for Astro Orbiter was only 10 minutes, so we rode that.
However, this is a very slow ride. So while we were on the rockets, the character just came out and by the time we were done the line was really long. Thinking that the lines will go down later in the evening (HA!), we went to get dinner at Cosmic Rays.
Cosmic Rays had a dance party going on and it was really fun. DD was dancing around the table. This was my first time all trip having a burger and fries! I was really proud of myself -- so splurged with a bacon cheeseburger and melted cheese for the fries with carrot cake for dessert.
Then we walked around and found a spot for the parade. One of the neatest things was to see Tink -- live and in person. This is the only time to see Tink! (although a CM told me that she is going to start appearing in the fall...) Tink was great -- one second smiling and the other frowning. This CM had her nailed down perfectly!
Then I rode BTMR -- cool at night. We headed over to PoC (b/c you just had to on P&PP night). By then it was time for the fireworks. We got a spot on the Tomorrowland bridge (I'm sorry we didn't go to Goofyluvr's magic spot but it was crowded and we were just happy to find a space). DD really liked watching Tinkerbell fly above us.
Then off to Goofy's Barnstormer. DD likes this but still is "a little bit scared". Then we walked straight in Minnie's house, rode Goofy's barnstormer again.
We wanted to get pics with the princesses but the line was 75 minutes long. No way! Even the Fab 5 was 30 minutes long, so we skipped it.
In Mickey's house we met another Disser SCONNELL. Then we rode Dumbo and wanted to see the lines for the Tomorrowland characters -- nope, still really long, so we rode TTA instead...got a few photos. DD was too tired to get out of her stroller, so it's just the 2 of us. I love the blue castle!

Our shirts:
Mine: Prepare to be scrapbooked
DH: Yo ho, a father's life for me
We left the park around 11:30pm. We were parked in Sleepy 75 -- how appropriate.
Bed by 1:16am.
QUIZ TIME
A) My dad, DH and I take the new Ft. Wilderness Segway tour. We love it. Which statement(s) is also true?
1) Someone knocks over the Segway before the tour even gets started
2) Someone crashes the Segway
3) We all pick it up really easily -- smooth riding!
4) It's a little shaky in the beginning but no issues.
B) I think I've determined the perfect number of days to visit WDW. Want to take a guess? It's less than a month, really ...although I could always go longer...
C) I've never ridden in front row of Soarin...thought I'd continue to ask ... was I rejected again?
D) DH leaves to have some "alone" time (remember I went shopping?), so what traditional Disney snack food comforts me? (I get one every trip to eat there and one to take home with me to eat the next day)
