Where can I get a coupon for May 1st for a value resort? We are only going for a few days and we do this every year before our cruise. I never get any codes or coupons. What am I missing out on?

I have no clue what is going on but Disney's reservation system is unavailable until 4pm (that's what the website says) could they be loading in codes?? I called and the CM that I spoke with said she didn't know if it was discount related or not but to call back later because you never know what kind of magic will happen!

We changes our dates to May 2nd to the 10th. So, I will be 3 months from tomorrow. I can't wait.

so if you get that offer, it would apply to at least part of your visit! You might do like the other folks here and call Disney to see if there is a code waiting for your name!

I keep checking my e-mail each day...waterparks, dining, whatever magic they may have up their sleeves, I would love for some of it to drift my way!

I have to admit, it did on my last Disney trip. Not from Disney themselves, but somehow I wrangled a $63 a night room at HoJos in Anaheim. I have checked back with them relentlessly and that same room always comes up at at least twice that price...even when I use links from Mousesavers. I'll admit I'm a bargain shopper; somehow the trip is just more fun if you know you're getting a bargain on it!

Was hoping for something "free" since the trip costs us the majority of our tax refund (but SO worth it)!! What's this about codes attached to your names?

Welcome To the Disboards!!! There is a thread here on the codes section, read it and you will understand all we know about pins and codes and stuff. We are all waiting with you !! Maybe we'll see you there! Our dates are May 2nd to 9th!! Have fun on the boards!

So when calling, do you just call the regular reservations # and ask the CM who answers if there is a discount code attached to your name (any kind of discount ?)

Yep - I just made my first two calls for codes this week and I just asked if there was a code attached to my name. I thought the lady would think I was crazy but she knew what i was taking about. The bad part is the CM I talked with today said there was nothing but a code that ran out in December!! We already knew we were going in May by then so I could have used a code, I just didn't know to be asking.

If it's any consolation it seems the earlier codes weren't for May. As far as I know there haven't been any for May yet except for maybe a recent 20% mailer that included some dates for the beginning of the month. Has anyone received any codes for the end of May? There may be a promotion for free water parks/park hopper like last year that came out the end of Feb. We had that option last year when we went in May only problem for us was we already had a AAA discount that was a little bit more of a discount for us. We're using AAA again this year so if they run that again it probably again won't benefit us. Still hoping for a better discount code for May

It means you are already in the Disney system and not necessarily already booked! Remember, there are no stupid Disney questions...........

I am new to this whole codes thingy.
Are the 20% codes the same for everyone? or are the codes attached to each individuals names? Are the codes just for returning guests?
We are going May 2-9 and would be nice if we could get a code.

#4) Could you have a code w/out having a reservation but having your name in the Disney system by signing up for the vacation DVD or by having booked DW resort stays in the past (and not a reservation currently)?

I've checked o the FAQ sticky notes, but these things are still not clear to me.

#1) We would all like to know that one! It is either random or some sophisticated system that assigns codes.

#2) I would think having a reservation would hurt your chances-but I have read of folks who have gotten them with a reservation so who's knows. The only pin code offers I've received the past couple of years are always in my friend's name who doesn't live with me-so she hasn't had a reservation in her name with my address in a long time. Why would Disney send me a pin code when I go several times a year without a code. They know they've already got me hooked without a bait.

I just found this thread. We are going May 28-June 8. We are hoping for a AP rate, but I am beginnig to think that I am out of luck this year! I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed! With or without any discount, we are going to WDW!!!!
