i went ahead and booked our airfare because everything just kept going up and up. Hopefully I did the right thing by booking. So, we are ALL booked for May 24-June 1st! We are going to be staying at POR.

Yes this is a fairly new policy. I believe they started it in the fall.

Before this, an AP holder could book 3 rooms under the AP discount; now an AP holder themselves have to be booked into the room in order to get a discount.

DH and I each have APs, so for our trip in May, he's booked into 1 room, while I am booked in the room with my aunt who doesn't have an AP, just so we can get the AP discount if one comes out. Of course, I'll actually be in the room with my DH, but on paper, I'm in our aunt's room.

I recieved an e-mail this morning that said my DVD was in the mail but since I mentioned that I was intrested in coming in May that I could stay at the value resort for 99$ a nite.Of course my luck is that the offer is only good through MAy 21st and that is the day we are leaving to go. So i may be able to get that price for the first night.The only good thing about that offer is that 99$ is not really that much of a discount I think that 1 nite in May at the value is 109 and 119 on fri/sat.The other bad news is that it said I could take 20% off other dates in 2008 but our november dates were also blocked out.
What will I ever do?

I got this same email today but the $99 is the regular price. I didn't understand why I would need to give them the pin that came with when it is not really a discount.

I looked at prices and they were 109 for wkdays and 119 for wkends for my dates,which are May 21st through june 1st so it would only save me 9/19$ a night.Not a huge discount. So I'm not that disappointed. This is the 2nd email pin I have recieved and both my trip dates are blacked out.that's what get me

I ordered the DVD the first wk in January. I order them every yr.The email DID refer to the DVD and said it was arriving soon(I got it on Saturday) In the email it mentioned that I was intrested in going in May.It also gave me 20% off other mths.Here are the dates it listed:

Available for stays most nights 1/6-2/2/08, 2/24-3/1/08, 3/30-4/12/08, 8/10-9/27/08, 10/19-11/1/08, 11/9-11/15/08 and 12/7-12/13/08.
If I were you I would order a DVD through their web site.When ordering the DVD it asked you what mths you were intrested in.Thats how they new I was going in May. I talked to a CM who said that they just sent out a mass mailing of this offer and that the last wks were blocked out due to Memorial day. She said that most likely there will not be any discounts over that last wk in May due to a Major holiday.

Which makes me think that they expect that last week in May to be crazy busy. I hope I get another offer...something small would be nice, even a dining plan discount. We'll see!

I got my first code!! It's for a value, though, and we've already booked at the Poly. It says if we change our dates (or go again at a later date), we can get 30% off, but I'm not sure if it's 30% off a value or 30% off anything. I'll have to do some research.

We've booked POR for May 20th- 27th thru AAA. I keep calling to check on codes - when I called a couple of days ago, the CM said it was too early for a May code which doesn't really make sense when others are booking 40% code through Dec. 08 - I'm assuming maybe she meant a public code like last year's free waterparks offer they did. I keep checking my e-mail and calling (I've ordered the DVD and updated my acct. too) but still nothing. I think other posters are right when they said May might not get any discounts or at least not around Memorial Day.

Can you book now at the rack rate and then keep calling as the date arrives to take advantage of the best deal or latest code - or do you have to re-book and hope there are still rooms available etc,.
