We will be there April 29-May 10th, then the Disney cruise til the 13th. We are staying at the GF. It is my DF first time there! he can't wait - neither can I!!!!!

We just made our reservations at POP for May 1-5! Got a great rate on Delta ($94.00 rt) and made our ADR's:

Chef Mickeys 6:00pm 5/1
Cindy's Castle 12:10pm 5/2
O'hanas 6:55pm 5/4

We are going May 20-27 and are staying at the Swan. We are excited and we are marking the "5year" mark for my son being off chemo! So this year officially makes him a CANCER SURVIVIOR!!! I couldn't really think of a better way to celebrate!

I made reservation for Cindy royal table....(I know he is boy...but my daughter would love it) I thought eating inside the Castle would be great. Can anyone give me any other tips or suggestions geared around my 14 year old son? How about Chef Mickey? Is that nice? I would also love to surprise him, such as a cake or something at a meal....do you know how or where I should go about doing that?

Mom of 3-Congratulations on your son becoming a SURVIVOR! Great news and definitely reason to celebrate!

The "Official Birthday/Anniversary Cake" thread has tons of information regarding ordering cakes at WDW.

We love Chef Mickey's and definitely recommend it. We always start our first night out there just get get into the mood plus the kids get to be up close and personal with the characters!

Congratulations to your son and your family! You are right - I don't think there is a better way to celebrate except to have a long healthy life!

I've never eaten at Chef Mickey's - but have ressies there for our next trip - it sounds really fun! We also have ressies at SciFi Diner at MGM - it looks really cool and I bet your son would like it. Not the best advice because I haven't eaten at these places yet but I really just wanted to congratulate you and your family.

We are going in May too! May 7-21. The 11th is DD birthday... she is sooo excited... going with DS-12,DD-11, DD7(turns 8 there) and DM-(cant tell)
Booked room only res at ASM in the new family suites... waiting for AP codes though.. might change...Most ADR made...
This is my second trip with my kids and my moms first trip!! Its her mother's day present from me.
