May 2006 Crowds

I am Planning our first family trip and am so excited, though I need to use my frequent flyer mileage for our airline tickets. I am having a hard time getting the exact dates I want. I have read early May is not so crowed but late May is. The only dates that are working for us are May12 - May20 2006.

Question is "how are the crowds and weather at this time."

We will be traving with ds5 and ds4

Weather will be hot and crowds should be moderate. It is right after easter and Spring break. Perfect time to go.

We plan on going during that same time frame 12 May - 20/21 May, we are staying at Shades of Green.

I'm going the same time, 5/13-5/20. I heard it will be hot, but not as humid and muggy as in the summer months. I'm hoping crowds won't be too bad! We're staying @ OKW.

Thanks for the info. I am hoping to miss the really big crowds of Easter and Summer. I thought this would be a good time since I don't have to worry about schools yet. I didn't want to plan a trip when its cold or in the Hurricane Season. I don't mind hot (80's) it's the muggy, humid weather that makes for an uncomfortable time.

We are going May 25-June 3. Staying at WL. Our kids get out of school on May 24. I figured this would be our best bet. We are from Tx, so heat is not an issue! It will be Mem. wknd but, with a 10 hopper we can take things slow! Any comments about what to expect. This will be our first trip w crowds. We went early Nov. of 2001 and the parks were empty. We also went for one day to MK in Jan. of 2003 and it was busier but, fine. Last year we went to Disneyland (loved it) over Halloween and that wasn't too bad either. Now w/ kids in school we are much more limited!!

We went this past May 14-20th...crowds were great! We only needed to fast pass a couple of rides. For the most part, we walked on almost every ride...I think our longest wait time was 20 minutes for Test Track.

The weather...well, for us New Englanders, it was HOT and humid (low 90's most days and very very humid). But, according to one of our bus drivers, the high humidity was a bit unusual for that time of the year...so hopefully May 2006 will be more normal for you! Hope you have a great time!
