We found out early this evening that we have been upgraded to a cat 4!

Before leaving the office, I went to print out the cruise documents for boarding and noticed the new cabin number. I logged back in to e-mail PinkE, and she had just e-mailed me the info!

We are now in stateroom 8084.

I can't believe PinkE did get this posted first! She must be busy, busy!

I leave early tomorrow - so off to pack I go!

Looking forward to meeting up on Saturday!

I can't believe PinkE did get this posted first! She must be busy, busy!

I have been busy! My youngest's birthday is tomorrow (that's why we couldn't leave before Thursday), and I feel like I've been running from thing to thing to thing.

We had a really good room, Myth, so feel free to ask for it. It was a "secret verandah" room - cat. 5 but for a cat. 7 price because the view out the verandah is partially obstructed. (see the Castaway Club website for a picture. Our room was 6634). Still, I'm loving the upgrade - what a wonderful moment of magic.

I say: pixie dust on the house!

Now, back to work I go.

What I want is DCL to make a darn decision about Cozumel. Also to stop treating my like some stupid twit when I call and ask questions.........I also ant a million dollars and some drink filled with RUM!!!

First swine flu death in U.S. (i.e., Texas) reported - www.cnn.com​

Since the flu was confirmed in the U.S., I wonder if those with Alaskan cruise reservations are going to ask to the cruise line if they can dock in another country.

I wonder when those same people last checked the air in the tires? (risk of accident)
I wonder if those same people are in tip/top physical shape? (risks from obesity, etc.)
I wonder if those same people have security bars over their home's windows - I mean, violent crime was probably committed somewhere within a 100 mile radius? (risk of violence)

I could go on and on...

I am a neurotic claims adjustor......I am certain I think of all of those things. Ask DH, this is why I drink and I am medicated.

Several of the folks on this thread have recieved room upgrades, but I think for everyone it has been a surprise not really a request (I could be mistaken though). I'm just assuming you mean room changes, but then again you could be referring to port changes?

my4bratz-Did you see that movie with Ben Stiller (I think that's the actor and he was a claims adjuster) and Jennifer Aniston (she played "Polly").
He also was always analysing risks and freaking out And she is always throwing caution to the wind.
To keep this short, it's a very cute and funny movie, but the moral is yes, be cautious in what you do and use common sense but don't forget to live in the meantime (cut loose a little bit, just don't lick doorknobs and stuff).
As a person prone to accidents (several since I joined the board as a matter of fact), I learned to not always let that get in my way.
Hopefully you will be able to relax and not let your worries put a damper on your cruise

Soo funny! I just live with a husband and very close to a brother who are not wearing CROWNS of common sense. Both still believe that they are either GI Joe, Magnum, Man vs. Wild,......Have you ever seen According to Jim? something like that??? tHis is similar to my family. Usually this involves cocktails......I always have to cringe when they are together. My DS 3 and DS four use the terms "Fire in the Hole and No blood No foul.....like bible verses.

Do you mean about Cozumel? No, I haven't called. I'm a future lawyer, so I know Disney's assessing the risk because they don't want the lawsuits.

What I want is DCL to make a darn decision about Cozumel. Also to stop treating my like some stupid twit when I call and ask questions.........I also ant a million dollars and some drink filled with RUM!!!

A drink with rum sounds so good right now! Not that it will encourage Disney to make a decision any faster or anything. Better to let the front-line CMs take the heat of all the phone calls (which is what they pay the CMs to do) than make the wrong decision too early and find themselves open to liability.

If I were to hedge this bet, I'd say we'll be docking elsewhere, not Cozumel, which makes me sad because I was really looking forward to seeing the Mayan ruins, but that's part of travel. Stuff happens. As long as the sea is smooth and the drinks are flowing freely, though, it will all be good in the end, no matter where we go.

Did you spray the Lysol? I chocked my co-workers yesterday becauae I ran around the cubes and sprayed everyones area!!

I have allergies to tree and grass pollen. The pollen count for trees here is over 3000!!!! I am sneezing from time to time and coughing some. I do not have a cold or flu right now. I hope this is what you are hearing. My red car right now is yellow from pollen. We are so looking forward to meeting everyone on Sat and having a great time.

zerog I am sorry we can not go to Cozumel. I wish the situation was different so we could go. I do not know if we can get a chance to go again to Cozumel. I do think this move was prudent. I suspect that Nassau was either the only or the cheapest port they could go to. I know we all will adjust and have a great time. I am looking forward to meeting you and everyone else on Sat and during the whole cruise. I hope this decision lets alot of folks to let go of alot of stress.
