Thanks. We are looking forward to it. The trip is to celebrate our 25th anniversary. It will be just myself and my husband. Since you live in CA, can you recommend an area/hotel in San Diego. We are going there first. We would like something in a nice area not to expensive. We looked at the airport area, Hotel Circle Rd. area and Rancho Bernardo area. Someone here on DIS recommended the Old Town Inn but people we have talked to advised us against staying in Old Town because of safety. Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah I was gonna say Bats Day is that weekend, but didn't realize there was a convention too. We switched our plans to earlier the week before, in hopes to avoid the crowds.

I think that's what we're going to do. I have vacation time from work. So I can use that. My birthday is on Friday, so we'll most likely do Tuesday-Friday.

BUT, the original plan was DBF and I were going to go down Thursday and then Saturday my parents would come down and leave with us Sunday. I didn't think my parents really wanted to come because every time I mentioned it they were like whatever. Well now that we mentioned we were going to change our days to earlier in the week, my Mom said "well your Dad and I wanted to go". WHAT? Why didn't you say that earlier, lady!? So we'll see. Maybe they can take 1 or 2 days off work. Fingers crossed because I'd rather go during the week.
