My folks did get cruise insurance, and the doc decided to scan me to see if my cancer's grown, so you have my full and complete sympathy. Fingers, toes, and everything crossed that it all turns out well.

Re: Linked dining. I'd really love to sit with all you fine folks but does Disney really handle it in such a way that you'd see all my spa and excursion bookings, I'd see yours and we could change each others? I'd hate to accidentally screw up someone else's bookings.

Previously on the wbta that was a worry as other people had mentioned this could happen, I don't know if it has, that's why it was left as late as possible before the info was sent.

Yes it was just those linked on your table not the whole group that you could see, it was never any issue for me and I changed my nursery times over and over again as I couldn't make up my mind.

To all the new organizers and old, it's been a while since I've put out a reminder. If you're a little computer-savvy, as the website organizer, I can give you administrator access to the page of the event that you're organizing. With administrator access you can do whatever you like with your page on the website. Put up a google spreadsheet, pictures, whatever you like. I believe all you need is a Google Sites account which is free and easy to set up.

Or, alternatively, I can do it for you on your direction.

I do agree with others though that when we get the new thread up and running that we should put a summary on the first post and organizers should have their own post they can update. The website simply lets us get a little fancier.

Alternatively, I can set up the website to link directly with the Disboards like I have done for MandyGirl's helpful Galveston info she posted a while back.

A name for our cruise? I cant recall ever seeing one or if it was discussed at some point, and was wanting to make a start on my ideas for FE gifts .

I've been on the thread since the week it was created (like I know several of us booked on opening day) and do not recall discussion on deciding the group name. I think it may have been just for shirts that Val was creating? I just searched the word "journey" in this thread since that is in the name... and it rarely shows up, so I do not believe it is an official group name unless I missed that somewhere.

Those on Facebook saw my graphic for little tshirts we are making for our family that I uploaded last July there --- it's saying:

"From Tejas to Espana" and some other variations

I just re-uploaded them so they would be visible on the facebook page

eBay is a good start, just do the obvious and check the sellers ratings etc to make sure you are getting legit ones. Do you have another Disney trip planned before this cruise?

This means that you want to be seated together at dinner. That's ALL. You can't see each others reservations on line or anything. The other, they call "fully linked." In this case, you do have total access to the reservation of the other. This is the sort you do if one family has 2 rooms.

You just have to be clear with your TA and with DCL as to which "linked" you want. We've done each of them--no problems.

Luckily we weren't so worried about someone intentionally doing something on the reservation but rather accidentally. We sent in linked dining at 30 days prior, and everyone pretty much had all shore excursions, nursery times, spa treatments, etc in place.

And I think some of us were fighting over exotic rasul timeslots

This is a GREAT explanation!!! I was trying to figure out how to say this...well done! I have been traveling with the same group of people for years and we always fully linked - none are related, you don't have to be family to be fully linked.

So apparently the person that sent it in for WBTA 2011 didn't clarify in that way --- we could see each other's reservations for other things. That is GREAT to know! Thank you!

Haha! No - just making sure when I was adding and deleting those 30 hours of nursery time that I wasn't messing up someone else's nursery time. That's what scared me! Especially since all three young ones started with E
