May 18, 2013 Magic EBTA Part Two - From Tejas to España

One more thing I need to keep on my radar so I don't miss it again this time.... Dessert Gala!! That's the whole reason we are walking on deck four each morning, right?!?!?

Here's a former EBTA Desert Gala pics... forewarning: you will gain weight by looking at these!

I've seen previously posts that say they have stopped doing this, we did not have one on the 2011 wbta .

:worship: to kaceyC and Mandy!

And to all you others who are working so hard to make this trip magical for us all pixiedust:

Noooooo..... just doing what we can for everyone to have a grand time :goodvibes

They are not on the ebta but are in Europe on the magic

:thumbsup2 I was thinking I had read ebta a while back but this makes more sense :)

FYI - for anyone headed to Milan, Italy after the cruise.... the Last Supper tickets went on sale yesterday for June. Much cheaper if you are able to purchase through the main site vs the people who pick them up and re-sell them.... :scared1:

That looks so good! I need to be walking with you guys, because I'm definitely partaking in those desserts!

I wonder if anyone in the US might be prepared to do me a favour?

My mother in law has asked for a specific moisturiser for her birthday:

http://uk.shopping.com/st-ives-st-i...sturizer-timeless-skin-295-ml-jar-3-pack/info

It seems like it isn't available here in the UK, and the only decent place to buy it is amazon, where it is imported in and postage costs a lot.

I wondered if anyone had seen this in say Walmart/Walgreens etc, and how much it was there? If not too expensive, I also wondered if someone might be kind enough to get some for me, and I could reimburse them when onboard?

Even if I order if from amazon its unlikely to get here from the states for her birthday, and she isn't someone who is too worried about things being late (plus I have got her a couple of other bits and ordered her some flowers, so she will have something on the day).

I would like to get this for her if I can, just trying to do it a cheaper way!

If anyone could help with prices that would be fab!

I'll keep an eye out the next time I am at one :) And no bother bringing you some onboard. :)

Thank you so much, that would be great! I just need 1 pack, think the link was to a 3 pack. I can't imagine its that expensive in the US as the one on amazon here was fairly cheap, its just the postage that doubled the price!

Isn't it crazy? Before Christmas I was picking up Glade air fresheners for friends in the UK. They were a dollar apiece, but I think I spent almost $20 to ship them. And it was only 2 (or maybe 3)!

They are actually getting on the Magic after we disembark in Barcelona, so she has requested a certain Bacardi flavor that I think a couple of us will be supplementing her with as she is on the June 1 sailing. :goodvibes

Hi there,

Last WBTA I wondered where I had missed the lovely deserts, for me it's like this I miss a few days, just by relaxing and taking it easy the the cruise is over and you think where did we miss the desert gala.

It's about time Disney either double the length of deck 4 or build a climbing wall the size of Everest as potencial for coming home double the size I left could easily be done.

:rotfl2:

I think Target carries it - I'll check today while I'm out doing errands and will pick it up for you !

Whoop whoop! I totally cannot WAIT to put my vacation reply that includes "...traveling internationally so I will have no access to voice mail or email..."

YESSSSSS!:yay:

That is the greatest feeling in the World! We flew out to CA early Friday morning (took the day off of work) for the EBPC and during our short layover, we both were on the phone with work calls. Once we boarded the plane, I looked at hubby and said, neither of us will have to deal with this for 14 days! Then we both had calls once we landed in LAX...but still, 14 days of NO work!

Morning Everyone,

Just had a thought one of the nice things about cruising was sailing away from he port on the WBTA's we have been known to congregate on 10 deck forward in one of those under used wooden U shaped seats and watch the ship cast off and have some drinks, bring your own, whilst we set course to head back to Europe. This would be nice from all ports apart from Gallveston as people will still be enjoying the DCL celebration. If we are lucky you will see many dolphins heading out of the Gibraltar port and round by Europa point.

The staff were always happy to oblige with plastic glasses of all sorts. Some people mixed Pimms, others had Champayne or Prosseco and some had a bit of everything.

Anyone interested, this does not need an organiser, simply meet at cast off. I can help thinking their should be some sort of "transatlantic ceremony" for he newbies similar to neptunes when crossing he Atlantic.

:thumbsup2

Happy Friday!!! party: (Or Saturday for our friends across the big pond!) :wave2:

Any updates we need to make on first post? We're getting close to that two month countdown!! :cool1:

Target on line had it - but when I went to the local Target they didn't carry it. We'll keep looking !!

John and I have decided we are going to one of the photography tours in Barcelona since we have been a few times. Anyone ever do one of these?

Hi there,

Just read a trip report from the 2010 EBTA and the contributor attended lots of tastings, Rum, Whiskey, Tequila, Martini's to name a few. I fancy doing a few more of these, as they are excellent value at some $20. I am certainly up for rum, vodka, cognac and could be tempted to try a few others if pushed. If nothing else, at least you get to have a laugh with the servers and other cruisers.

This may surprise some, whilst we have many whiskey distillerys with a stone's throw of this house, I am not a big fan and would give that tasting a miss.

I think we just sign up for these at Guest Services?

I know I am already booked for the mixology.
