May 18, 2013 Magic EBTA Part Two - From Tejas to España

We are feeling exactly the same way about our 10C. We'll check, but if the money is too dear, we'll stick with the 10C.

Yeah, it just struck me that it's too late for our early family. DH and I get up at 5am most days, including the weekends. We also all go to bed early.

You won't be in your cabin except to sleep and shower - too many activities onboard :)

And btw - you are crazy. 5am? Nope. No cabin upgrade for you. You won't be in there enough!!! :rotfl2: Now, before kids, I was good at being at the gym when it opened at 5am and still in my classroom for tutorials by 7am... but these days I am doing good to get the kids to school ontime in my robe since I'm not working a job outside the home any more!

She is and is thrilled that I will playing for the first time. When I think of Bunco, I picture my mom's friends drinking wine coolers and screaming/laughing in the house while I was trying to go to bed. Though one time, they spiked my sprite with a little bit of wine cooler (it was a "big deal" for the 16 yo). I am going to have to bring wine coolers now for this event! (dont worry, it will be in a cup so DCL won't know)

What a cool story! Yes, you have to bring wine coolers now! ;)

I guess we could say we'll be celebrating my bday. It's May 4th!! I'll be 25 again!

Updated on post # 1 :thumbsup2

Yesterday I checked our information on the Disney cruise site. It was unsettling to see someone else's port excursions, Palo reservations, etc. on our reservation. I called Disney and learned that, because we have linked dining, we can now see the details of reservations that are linked to ours for dining only.

I know I had asked about it when calling DCL before - and they said for dining linking only, it should not be visible. Wonder if they told us incorrect? I know kcashner had shared some things a while back about the linking as well that were positive - so this is surprising. I know when logging in, I can see the ones we linked our table with, but not the entire group of 50+ people. Is it the entire group you can see? Or just a few other cabins that might be sharing your specific table?

I'm sorry to hear you find this unsettling but the possibility of this
happening Was posted on both

the 1st page of this thread and the website.

I can send a email asking for you to be removed just let me know??

Things like this have definately put me off heading up activities/events again.

Just checked my online reservation. I only see the dining/nursery/shore activities of those in my linked table like first page shared. I don't see the entire group. That's how it has been previously with linked dining for me - seeing tablemates but not entire group. I can only make changes to the two cabins in our family we have fully linked together (not the ones linked by dining - and can't see any further than their dining/nursery/shore)

We generally get up and have coffee, set up for the day, and then read the paper, check our email, etc. The girls get up at 6:30. I think on the boat we'll likely have later hours, but one never knows :rotfl:

So I looked at my reservation out of curiosity and I don't see the Palo brunch listed :headache:. The one that I had scheduled for just DH and me is gone (which I knew would happen when the group one was scheduled), but the group one isn't listed! Can anyone else see their group brunch listed? My date night Palo dinner with just DH is still on there.

Same here, I don't think anyone can edit anything for you. They can just see when you're going to the spa/Palo/nursery etc. They are going to be your family :grouphug: for 14 days anyway. :thumbsup2

Twopeasonepod, do you want to link with us? It'll be DH, me, our twin girls (8 going on 9) and viking_53 and his family (his DW and their five year old daughter).

Crack of sunlight, I am up. :rotfl2: Great sunrise pictures!! Drives hubby insane. It's why he is so adamant about booking an inside cabin. We split it this time -- balcony for EBTA but Med is an inside.

I don't see the Palo group brunch ressie either but I do see one person in our group that has it who is at our table. I will give DCL a call to see what I can learn. It may just be under one person's name for all 14 of us.

Yep!!

Now if I have to go beat one of them up to get Exotic Rasul ressies for hubby and I... now I know who to go after ;)

Uh-oh. Maybe I just messed up mine. Out of worry I just scheduled another brunch for DH and me, I might have removed myself by accident. Dammit. I can be so dumb. (I tried to schedule one for the day we're supposed to be having our group one, but it was sold out, so I scheduled it for later in the trip. I probably shouldn't have done that until I heard what the deal was with the group one.)

Even though I'm not listed for group brunch my brunch for me and dh has been cancelled so I'm presuming all has gone through plus I know henrieeta has received confirmation so I'm not concerned.

Hoping to get another towards the end of cruise

Are y'all going to try to get in on the same rotation with the other DIS main seating diners? You might be able to make that request in your reservation, but will need at least one other reservation number or cabin number to denote outside of your immediate table. Glad you were still able to do some linked dining after changing from late!!

I hadn't thought of that. I was just thinking it was too late to link with them. Maybe someone on the early linked dining would be up for giving us their info.

I'm pleased that viking_53 was up for linking with us! I think we'll be a good group.

Me, too :sad2:

I called DCL to confirm and she said we're good to go. I should have had more faith :rotfl:

Thanks for thinking of us! We try to just have a tabletop for six so we can regroup and really enjoy our time together. When I am working, I see clients from 7am - 9:30pm, so on those days (only W T F normally), I don't even see the boys except for a short time in the morning. Vacation is the only time we can consistently have dinner together! :thumbsup2

But you are very sweet for offering! :flower3:

I'm sorry guys, my inexperience with group bookings.:o I know I mentioned on here and FB that the brunches had been confirmed. I forgot to mention that each Group is booked under one person's last name. For Group # 1 it's Paul's and Group # 2 it's me. So, the booking will show up under our bookings( Paul's and mine) as Palo Brunch Private Room.

No problemo!!! Learning experience for me :thumbsup2 especially as I am coordinating group brunches on next year's WBTA. Now you just have to tell me everything else you know about doing it ;)

YOU ROCK by the way!! :woohoo:

ETA: side note -- just booked a trio of dinners on our Med cruise at a discount and no VAT. Not sure if your's has the same online booking deal going....

Shouldn't be VAT on (onboard) Med stuff anyway. It's similar to US taxes as long as things are bought in international waters - I do however, remember being in some ports that mandate local taxes charged, so maybe, if you can choose to drink (or at least buy them) when not in dock.

A discount is always worth having though, shame I'll be back at work whilst you enjoy another week on Magic :)
