Great JorDan, now I feel REALLY old :(. I could be your mother.....Brian and I graduated in 1981 :(. Oh well, I always like to hang out with a younger crowd :)!! ~ Kathy

Hey - I could be your older sister. I graduated in 1980. Most of my friends are younger than I am. At least we're close in age.

Has anyone ever had to get a phone message when on the cruise? I found an 888 number in the passporter but was just wondering how it all worked. My Mom hasn't been in the best of health and I want to leave a number where we can be reached in case anything were to happen and the boys needed to get in touch with us.

Anyone else feeling old when the kids talk about graduating in 91? My oldest was starting pre-school in 91.:sad2:

Uh, yeah. I'm right there with ya! LOL!

I graduated in 1980. Most of my friends are younger than I am.

I graduated in 1980 too! :) Since we had the little guy so late, all of our friends are younger too. Hanging out with his friends moms keeps me running with the younger crowd. LOL.

WOO HOO!!! 3 weeks!!!
But still no cruise docs!!! ARGH!!

Hope you get yours soon.
We had a DCL package arrive today, but.. it was the "My Cruise Travel Kit" and key dates. which contained information that I can start booking shore excursions on Feb 15, 2009. :confused3 Oh well.. Still waiting on our room assignment and travel docs.

Just poppin in to say hi! Sorry I haven't been able to post much. A lady (and friend) that I've sat next to for the past 10 years passed away last weekend from liver cancer. Despite being terminal, she was just put on hospice so it was expected that she'd have at least a few months left. And then on top of that, I caught some bug that made me so weak & tired that it was hard to even get out of bed. Needless to say, it's been a rough week. My co-workers service is tomorrow and I'm so dreading it. I'm just not good at these things. Thank God I have this cruise to look forward to!!! I need to de-stress!!!

I graduated in 1991 too! My friends and I used to get together every week to watch 90210 and Party of Five. :rotfl2:

I graduated in '94 so I watched all these shows too but I LOVED Party of Five!!!! It was hands down my favorite!! Gus bought me the DVD's a while back and I haven't gotten to re-watch it yet but I really need to do that. Ooo, maybe on the flight to WDW!!!
I still can't hear Strong Enough by Sheryl Crow without getting weepy though!

2_Eagle_Mom and mother_hen: Noticed that you both are celebrating your 25 anniversary on the cruise. Congratulations! We will be celebrating our 24 anniversary and DD7 graduation from 1st grade. mother_hen, we also had a late start.

Are you doing anything special on the cruise for your anniversary?

That's so exciting! Congrats on your 24th Anniversary :) We have quite a few anniversary couples on this cruise! What fun! Are you planning something fun for your anniversary day?

That's great that our kids are about the same age - my son is 9. He's finishing 3rd grade.

We haven't really planned anything special for our anniversary - the cruise is our gift to each other. I need to remember to go pick up a card for Dennis so I can take it on board with me. I thought I'd make a special magnet for our door, too. Our travel agent asked what day we were planning to celebrate, so I think we may get a cake or something that evening at dinner?

Do you have any good ideas?

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. Especially since it was so sudden. I recently went through a loss myself and it hits you really hard. I bet your body couldn't handle the stress and the bug and forced you to take some time. Try and remember all the good times and memories and take comfort in gathering with everyone that knew your friend.

Our actual anniversary is on the Tuesday before while we are at WDW. We will be doing the Segway Tour in Epcot and having dinner at Narcoosees (sp?) while on the cruise we will be going to Palo for brunch. Other than that we don't have any special plans. Any suggestions from anyone?

Good Morning!!

I hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday! I am on my way to work this morning, the hairstylists busiest day, lol. But I love the hustle and bustle!

Just wondering if anyone has any concerns about Mexico and the swine flu?
I know the outbreak is closest to Mexico City but I was wondering if Disney would make a change of venue incase of this outbreak if it does spread further....

See you all soon!
Kristin

I hear you . I feel old also. 87 for myself but like you girls all my friends are younger then me. I think it really helps keep us young.
Yes i also loved 90210 and Party of Five. I think the new show is hit or miss with me.

Good Morning Everyone! I have been reading the boards but have been busy with deadlines at work so not much posting. I'll catch up AFTER my coffee today (maybe after 2 cups since I screwed up so badly last time! :lmao:).

Just wanted to among the first to say Happy Saturday to each of you! In 3 weeks, at this time, we will be driving to the port!

and of course my prom song (and everyone else under the sun) was Party like it's 1999~Prince.

LOVED 90210 and party of 5.

Oh no, poor kitty! We have 3 cats and it is hard to leave them when they are healthy let alone sick.

We are flying out of Detroit on the 13th - I was in Barrie yesterday!!

Flying!! ahh! lol were being stupid and driving!! LOL

Andy & Ashley - I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. How long does the vet say it should take her to get better? Is she at home or at the vets? I'm sending you all :grouphug:

J

Well in 12 hrs she looks like she will make it out of this! The Vet said we wont see major results for a week. Shes home with us, We have a good vet...he said honestly there was no difference in her staying at the vets over being at home other then at home theres tones of love. But yesterday she wouldn't move, and this morning we found her on her favorite ledge by our window.

Thanks to everyone for your concern!! We have a wonderful group here!:grouphug: Can't Wait to meet you all!!!

Now back to the cruise!!! lol, I have way to much to do to Prepare!! I can't believe we booked with 102 days, and now we are at 18 days till we leave!! Where did all that time go!!! It flew by! :rotfl:

Ok, one cup of coffee down. I will start the next one while I try to respond to everyone!

I am sure I am going to forget everything I want to say, you guys have gotten very chatty over the past few days!!!!

I graduated in 89 so in between a lot of you folks. I was a 90210 kid too but never really got into Party of Five. I started watching the new one but ran out of time. I think I have a ton of episodes recorded on the tv upstairs. I am almost all caught up on the ones downstairs so hopefully can start watching again! I was also a Melrose Place person and then of course Friends during college. Our Prom song was the theme (with words) to St Elmo's Fire. :)

Andy my sweet, I do believe I am old enough to be your's and Ashley's Mum but, ummmm, let's not think about that.

Yoni is younger than me so I think he would have graduated in 92 or 93 if he lived here in the States. I think the system is different there so not sure what year he was officially done with high school.

Andy -- I am so sorry about your cat but it sounds like she is doing much better.

Cute sweet Kristin -- a hairstylist! What a great profession! I have always thought it would be fun to get to chat with clients all day while making them feel better about themselves. Much better than staring at a screen in the office! We are not worried about the Swine flu. I don't think Disney will dock if there is a risk and Mexico City is a long way from Cozumel.

Darling Jane -- I would LOVE to do the Segue tour at Epcot but have to save that for when we visit there alone or the kids are older. What a fabulous way to celebrate your anniversary!!!!

Sweet Sara -- I think it is great you guys are celebrating your anniversary on board. Ours is in July and seems to go by each year without any fuss. That is why next year (on our 10th) I really want to do something special (like that Med. cruise with Sonya & Tony :thumbsup2). Still hoping we can book that on board. Yoni's birthday is the Thursday we are on ship. I ordered him a "basket" from Shirley as a surprise. I also got us the REAS package. That plus the two sand bucket baskets for the kids and our room will be FILLED!

Lucky1 (again, forget the real name -- if it isn't on my spreadsheet I am in trouble! soo soo sorry) -- Congrats to you too on your anniversary. Sabrina will be finishing up 1st grade too but still will have about 1 1/2 weeks left of school when we get back.

Charming Chasity -- I am so sorry to hear about your friend. Any kind of death (even if you knew it might happen) is tough. I am terrible about things like that and will bawl like a baby for people I hardly know. I hope you keep your spirits up! Now de-stress and get healthy. We want you full of energy for this trip!

Princesses Cinda & JorDan -- I will conveniently FORGET how much younger you guys are than me or maybe pretend I am much younger than I am. Of course inside I feel like I am 25 but somehow my body doesn't agree. :scared1:

Oh, and by the way, NO CRUISE DOCS for us either! :sad1:

Ok, now let me see if I can remember the rest of what I wanted to say without going back:

My sweets Amanda -- I am almost done and should have my super secret PM ready for you today. :cool2:

Beautiful Kathy (with the incredible legs) -- Great idea on the lime green paint chip. Once I figure out what we will be wearing I will let you know in case you spot us. I am probably going to meet my Sweet Belinda for a drink in the World in the afternoon but we haven't figured it all out yet.

What else...ummm...spoke to Kym. She will be having surgery but not until AFTER the cruise. I told her she HAD to be on the cruise with us (Faith & Sabrina have become good friends over email now) and no worries with that.

We did change our flights to arrive earlier on Thursday so hopefully will go somewhere fun on the Boardwalk for dinner and maybe even hit the pool before bed. I am booking our car service for the trip this weekend too. Any suggestions on the dinner or car service?

Ok, off to take the kids to swim lessons and still need that second cup of coffee. Talk to you all later!

LOL I guess almost everyone would me old enough!! but I wont say that TOO Loud!!! LOL:rolleyes1

And Sammi is doing SO much better then last night! Ashley and I are Very Relieved!

Mati ~ You SO crack me up and start my day off great :)! Over the years I have "found" other DISers by the lime green ºoº paint chip. It's a very handy identifier. Please do let me know what you think you will be wearing so I can try and spot you guys. I was just thinking about what I should wear on Friday (since it's our travel day too). I'm leaning towards this hot pink halter top. It looks good with my "fake and bake tan" that I have been working on :) and I am NEVER in pictures except on vacation when I make Jake/Brian take them :). Please keep me posted on when/where you think you, Belinda and Jane (and anyone else I may have forgotten, Sonya ????) will be meeting. If I could only see you guys for a bit, it would be GREAT to finally meet everyone in person :). I told Brian last night that you and Sabrina had signed up for our Grand Cayman excursion. He asked me if I was going to talk to all these DIS people. I said "Of course I am, they are all great people!!". I still keep in touch with one family from California that we met on our last DCL cruise almost five years ago. We met in line for boarding and just hit it off. They have a daughter who is a year younger than Jake (Jake and his friend Matt were like her big brothers on the cruise, it was very sweet:)). They went to WDW (for the 1st time) after the cruise (like we did) and we were their personal tour guides. We had hoped to have a "reunion" trip at WDW this summer, but our plans couldn't mess together. So instead, we get to cruise with all you WONDERFUL folks :)!!! We are hoping to fly to the San Francisco area where they live sometime in the next year or so.

Hope everyone has a great Saturday :). Tonight is our local Catholic schools annual tuition fundraisor auction (a fancy-smanschy event). Brian is the creative committee chairperson and literally spends hundreds of hours each year on this event. This is his 10th year doing it. He said he was going into semi-retirement when Jake graduated last year, but I knew that wouldn't really happen :). It is truly amazing how they transform the gym into such an elegant place. I had a "fashion show" last night so Brian could help me decide which dress to wear. It was between a short purple one and a long black one. He told me that I had too nice of legs to wear the long one. Aaaah, maybe that's why I've been married to him for 23 years :).

Also....what have you all done to me??
I went out and bought the first Sookie Stackhouse book and haven't been able to put it down. I love it!! So now I'm ordering the 7 series set, then will get books 8 & 9. My husband is like "Great! Another book series and nothing will get done." :rolleyes1

The books just keep getting better and better IMHO. I can't wait until the next book comes out. I might have to pre-order it through Amazon.

Sorry about your loss and being sick. I'm a 1994 graduate as well. I loved 90210 (orginal), am watching the new 90210 (great for when cleaning the house), watched every episode of ER and was a huge Party of Five fan. Anyone here watch LOST? Love LOST!

Flying!! ahh! lol were being stupid and driving!! LOL

That's so funny. I do a "fashion show" too before I cruise! My DH is used to them now. Are you going to bring one of those dresses on the cruise?

Kim

Ummmm, Darling Andy, you better keep that comment to yourself!!!!:lmao:

I am so glad Sammi is doing better. I am sure it will all be ok!

Hey my dear, if you got it, flaunt it! At least that is my motto. Fortunately for everyone, don't really think I have much I need to be flaunting buy my goal has been to be hotter at 40 than I was at 20 and I still have almost 2 years to go! :thumbsup2

If I can get to the Coop downtown, I am thinking we will all be in Texas longhorn gear. As soon as I buy it will let you know. I will be in some kind of tank as well. I also am planning a "fake and bake" tan but haven't made it over to the tan shop yet. I have to be careful...I am as white as a vampire!!!! ;) I am rarely in pics too mainly because I shy away from them but also because I take them. This time I am going to do it, I promise, I won't hide! (ok, so maybe I'll hide a little)

Please keep me posted on when/where you think you, Belinda and Jane (and anyone else I may have forgotten, Sonya ????) will be meeting. You'd better talk to us! We are pretty easy going people. Yoni can look scary with his Finnish demeanor but once he is loosened up, he is all smiles. I am pretty sure we will stick with the excursion. As I promised Kym -- NO MORE CHANGES!!!! Once we figure out when and where to meet in Epcot I will let you know. I'll also PM you our cell too. I am thinking it will be later and maybe we can meet up for a Grand Marnier Slushie or Beer at the Pub or something? Any ideas????

Sounds like you will have fun tonight. Brian is right -- go short -- flaunt those legs baby!!!!!

The books just keep getting better and better IMHO. I can't wait until the next book comes out. I might have to pre-order it through Amazon.

Ok sweet Kim, may have to just get to Target and buy the first book in the series. I am resisting because I know I have tons of work and have to pack but it would be nice to have a good book on my business trip to Santa Clara.

Off to the grocery store!!! Hope everyone is having fun!

Hope I don't make anyone feel too old....but I graduated in 2002! haha
Best year of my life (cause it was Olympic year)

Yes, you make me feel so old, lol! I'm a 2001 graduate and Jason is 1999. Even if it was 2001 our prom theme was "Wonderful Tonight".

And Sammi is doing SO much better then last night! Ashley and I are Very Relieved!

So glad to hear your cat is doing better!!! Our cat is Mr. independent but our dogs are are little furry children!

We had hoped to have a "reunion" trip at WDW this summer, but our plans couldn't mess together. So instead, we get to cruise with all you WONDERFUL folks :)!!! We are hoping to fly to the San Francisco area where they live sometime in the next year or so.

That soo awesom that you still keep in touch!! :goodvibes So after trying on short last night I've decided I need to trade you legs! :rotfl2:

Happy Saturday to everyone. I haven't been able to post in a while with finals going on right now but in a week it will all be over . DH and I graduated in 1998 from the same high school but we didn't meet each other until two years after graduation. I absolutely loved 90210.

I think we'll start packing this weekend. I ordered Disney character t-shirts from the Disney outlet online for $4.99 each. I thought that was a great deal. We are all wearing a different character shirt on embarkation day. We should be pretty easy to spot.
