Hey there. I just joined the site a moment ago. I've been reading all sorts of stuff like a madwoman today and I just found this thread. I'll be on this cruise, too! It will be our 1st Disney Cruise. 3rd Cruise ever. We'll be celebrating our Anniversary & my Birthday that week. We don't have children, so we'll be cruising adults only - at least chronologically speaking. We booked it not even 24 hours ago so I have a lot of catching up to do now!

.....Oh, btw. My birthday is on the 21st of May (35 - ugh!) and our wedding Anniversary is on the 19th! (Hence the reason we typically make that our vacation week.) To make matters even crazier, my husband's birthday is May 5th and even my father's birthday is May 10th.....
DH and I are also celebrating our anniversary and my birthday the week of the cruise.
I have an idea for the mini navigators...For those that want to walk...should we maybe put a meeting time on there?? I"m thinking like 7 or 8 AM on the walking deck????
).

We "kidnapped" him (I'm talking blindfold, handcuffs, earmuffs, & a sequined HAPPY BIRTHDAY top hat) We tossed him in the car are left him that way for the hour drive to Baltimore to see Jeff Dunham. The best part was with all the 100's of people outside & along the way getting to the seat NO ONE dropped a hint! Whenever they saw us coming, the quickly stopped talking and started laughing (the hat gave it away)... We didn't take the blindfold off until we were seated! So much fun & he was SUPER excited!
We are in withdrawal since it's been 2 years since we last saw him! Up until then, we saw him 4 years in a row in FL!
I noticed it the other day but didn't check it out like I should have (bad mommy, I know). Justin was trying to reassure me that night that nothing was out of the ordinary just by looking at him. But tonight after shower, I checked, and something is definitely not right. I'm going to try to get him in to see his pediatrician tomorrow (fingers crossed that she's not too busy). It's so close to the cruise that if surgery is recommended, I hope it can be done ASAP so he's as close to normal as possible by cruise time...or do we wait until after the cruise? Cinda--what would you suggest? I'm wanting to go into the doc with somewhat of a plan so it's not all just a quick decision if it does end up being a hernia. Also, Cinda, do you personally perform hernia repairs on children? I'm only wondering because I have a neighbor who is a general surgeon (but don't know if generals operate on kids), and I also have a classmate from high school who is a gastroenterologist (100 miles away, though), so I'm already trying to think everything through and trying to decide whom I would want him to be referred to...or would a pediatric gastroenterologist be the best choice. (The closest is 150 miles away.) I'd really appreciate some info/input on this, if you don't mind. PM me if you prefer. This is not what I'm wanting to be thinking about right now.
I'm hoping I'm just totally overreacting and that in all actuality it's really just nothing, but I tend to know too much since I'm in the medical field.

Yeah right!)
You're such a sweetie! Normally I would not ask for free advice like that, but with the cruise being so close, my head is spinning, and I'm just trying to figure out what our options are. Our pedi is out of the office today and has a full schedule tomorrow, so I'm taking him to see the on-call doc this afternoon @ 1:15.
Have fun downloading all your stuff!
