Boy I'm gone from the boards for one day and the posts have been flying.
First of all thanks for all the birthday wishes. It's been a great weekend so far. Not great for the diet (Boss brought in fresh baked bagels on Friday, Friends took me out for lunch, we went out to dinner last night and will be going to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner tonight). I'm trying to be good with all my choices, but the cheesecake tonight will be a MUST. Just trying to decide what flavor to have will be the hardest part. Yesterday was very hectic. I took my Mom out shopping for clothes. She recently lost 60 lbs from illnesses and such and she looked like a bag lady in all her old clothes. I've finally got her to understand that we can do SO much more when we take the wheelchair, but getting in and out of the car, trying on clothes, etc it was exhausting! When I finally got home had to jump into the shower to get ready for the evening. I had bought Jim tickets to see Jeff Dunham (ventrilaquist/comedian) for his birthday in January and the show was last night.

(Andy, the show was in the Sharks Tank). It was a great show. Today, Jim is taking Steven out to practice driving, Brendan is over at a friends playing Dungeons & Dragons and I get to catch up on the boards (and work on my FE
). I may go out to do some more cruise shopping - I really don't need any more clothes but I've got the bug...
Now on to the replys..
Hi everyone,
Thanks for the concern. I'm doing MUCH better today. I went to the DR and I can get my IV out tomorrow!!! WOO HOO!! That means I will have full use of my right hand and can drive. I've been going stir crazy!
I can use 3 fingers on my left hand and can kinda bend my other 2. I can now hold things in my left if they are light, but still no pressure.
I'll be continuing oral antibiotics for another week and then re-evaluate. Starting hydro therapy as well. Infection sure did a number on my tendons.
Thanks Dr. Cinda for the understanding update!
Glad to hear you are feeling better!!
I was just wondering how many of us Dis Key Lime Pirates are dressing up on Pirate night? What about husbands. I'm still trying to convence my hubby too.
We're wearing piraty shirts and headscarfs. I found a really cute silver pirate wrist cuff at Sears.
LOL, Will they have the games on the ship? I would love to sit and watch my ducks win the STANLY CUP on my wonderful
Disney Cruise!!! LOL

(Hopeful Thinking!!!)
Ashley and I are dressing up for sure...I HOPE OUR TABLE Will to so we don't look to ridiculous!!! lol
Jim did the calculations and it looks like they will be in the final round of the playoffs. I can't imagine that there wouldn't have it on some bar tv.
I also laminated and then used sticking magnets; however, the magnets have been pretty contrary sticking to the laminate. I've tried super glue but it's kind of hit or miss. I think I might see if I can pick up some magnet paper somewhere.
I haven't printed my magnets yet, but I got some glue dots (from the scrapbook supplies section) that is really strong. Someone at work was using them to glue gift cards onto note cards and I had to remove them. Trust me the glue is STRONG!!! took me for flippen ever to get it off the cards.
I have a big work banquet that I'm putting on next Saturday so I have lots of work to do with that this upcoming week.
Sounds like my line of work (Corporate Meeting Planner) I've got a big event on Tuesday and then prepping for a Board of Directors meeting and then smooth sailing (pun intended) till departure day.
My sister and I and 2 of her 3 daughters are going on this cruise, too. We are extremely excited.
Welcome to our ever expanding group!!! Just looking at the cabin numbers it looks like you are our groups highest room!
No cruise docs yet. Did a little cruise clothing shopping today and decided it's a water diet for me from now til the cruise

If you're wondering who the crazy person is that is swimming in the pool with their towel still wrapped around them, IT'S ME!

I gotsta get with it & OMG is my skin so pale that I am reflecting light.
Well everyone will have to figure out if its you or me. I'll be glowing right next to you. I'm of German/Finnish decent so even though I'm putting on the liquid self tanning stuff - I really can't see much difference and still could blind some with my pasty coloring. I go from pasty white to lobster red REALLY quickly if I don't slather up with sunscreen.
Hey there. I just joined the site a moment ago. I've been reading all sorts of stuff like a madwoman today and I just found this thread. I'll be on this cruise, too! It will be our 1st Disney Cruise. 3rd Cruise ever. We'll be celebrating our Anniversary & my Birthday that week. We don't have children, so we'll be cruising adults only - at least chronologically speaking.

We booked it not even 24 hours ago so I have a lot of catching up to do now!
Welcome to our cruise!!! Once you reach 10 posts you'll be able to upload photos. Just tell us some more about yourself what are you looking forward to, your names (so we don't have to call you littlespark and littlesparks hubby) and do it all on separate posts. You'll have reached 10 in no time.
Here's something else I found on the main thread for breakfast options:
- Topsiders for buffet breakfast, approx hours vary, but 7.30am 10.30am, earlier on early port arrival.
- Lumière's for sit down, Times vary, sometimes brunch, like Key West 9.am to 12 noon
- Goofys galley for early Continental breakfast, say from 6am
- Parrot Cay for buffet breakfast, approx 7.30/8am start
- Room service, order times on card.
- Pastries at Cove Cafe
My OCD needs to know stuff like this.
Cool - thanks! I'm going to add that to my list of tips.
Val - I am SO going to Wal-Mart today after Jake and I get back from a program at Purdue and get a few mats. Do you just leave them at guest services and ask for character signatures? (insert mom brag moment) Jake is majoring at Physics at Purdue (I'm the Math one in the family, I think he got the Science bug from Brian

). His first semester last Fall he made the Dean's list after working his butt off. He finished HS 3rd in his class with a 4.07/4.00 GPA (he has a strong internal drive, I NEVER pushed him about grades, just asked him to do his best). They have a ceremony at Purdue and then each school has a reception. He wants tp do research on campus this summer, so the reception may be a good networking opportunity. I'll be back on the boards this afternoon

! ~ Kathy
Kathy - way to go on raising a great and smart kid. It's great when they do something to make you so proud!
I'm going to go out looking for the mat as well. Love the idea. Which direction would you suggest? Do they take most of the photos landscape or portrait for the formal shots? Do we need to include the markers?
I was wondering if there was anyone interested in Geocaching on
Castaway Cay with ashley and I. We found 3 that are close enough to check out!!! And if someone wanted to join it would be super cool!!!!
Hey - tablemate - I think this sounds really cool. We were planning on renting bikes and doing that first thing before it got too hot. When were you going to do this? I've always thought it sounded like a lot of fun, but we don't have a GPS device.
Now a question for all of you - does anyone have a 30 GB iPod? I have a little 8GB that I use at the gym and to listen to podcasts. Jim got me a 30 GB one for my birthday so I could watch longer videos. My question is can you upload videos from DVDs that we already own or do I have to purchase them online? How does the whole rent a video work from iTunes does it automatically delete after a certain amount of time? Any tips will be helpful. Its a reconditioned one so there isnt any manual and I figured I'd ask here first before trying to find info on the web.
Off to write a grocery list!
