Lynsey - are you also going to email the mini's or do we just need to meet up with you? I just don't know that we will make it to the promenade meet:confused:

I've been thinking that I'll probably print out the copies to give out on the Wednesday before the cruise (May 13th). I'm always afraid to wait too late incase my printer decides to die! Since many people are starting their vacations evern before then I probably won't e-mail the navigator out until we return, but I definately will e-mail everyone a copy so they can have a good clean copy for their personal use. If I don't catch you in the terminal or dismeet we're both one Deck 2 so you can run over to our room or vice versa.

Now that I'm thinking about it I'll put a few extras on the first day in one of the pouches on our FE (we're room 2530) so anyone that missed out can pick one up. I'll probably take any extras out after the first night though just so we don't have non DISers trying to pick something up (it won't be useful to them anyways! :)). I'll print out a few more copies than the number of cabins we end up having on our list!

Just finished watching the American Idol results, but I'm keeping my lips sealed! :cutie:
 
I only know of one restaurant you can walk to from the Radison. It's Italian. We like to go over near channel for dinner. Grille's, Fish Lips, Rusty's are all along there. All are a good way to start out vacation. Most have live bands. Depending on when you are there, you get to see ships leave the port area. Builds the excitement.

We'll be at BWV as well! Maybe we need to set up a nighttime EPCOT or Boardwalk meet on the 15th. I have plans that morning to go to MK, but have nothing planned for the evening. During the afternoon I think I'll be doing laundry in preparation for the cruise. :laundy: Nothing like doing laundry on vacation, but clean clothes on the cruise is a must.
We're in whenever works for everyone. Like I said we have dinner reservations at 8:00pm, but since Tim is leaving to go to the port maybe an afternoon meet would be cool.

We are staying at the Swan!!! We'll be at Epcot that morning/afternoon then bug out for a visit to the pool/Beaches & Cream? Plan on heading back to Epcot to meet Belinda for drink. Maybe we could meet up in the afternoon/evening???

I'm kind of sorry that we aren't on deck 2 as well. Heck any time you walk down the halls you guys are going to have a mini-meet. We'll be working the stairs as well, but will have to go UP at the end of the night...yeah right we'll probably be taking the elevator in the evenings. You guys will just have to repeat every conversation once you get to the table.

Every couple hours at work my best friend and I tease the rest of our work with the Disney cruise horn! My daughter keeps telling me that she is tired of me talking about it! I think she is having second thoughts about saying no to the cruise. She is 15 and ofcourse doesnt want to hang with mom.
I cant stop thinking about it! The last month goes by quick..buying all the clothes, supplies etc. wILL IT BE QUICK ENOUGH?
ANYBODY OUT THERE FEELING MY PAIN?

Jane is still putting together the FE and all the DISers list. Since I'm putting together a mini-navigator for the cruise I will be using her spreadsheet, reformatting it and adding the information into the nav.

While I'm on our mini-navigator topic I thought I would run by all of you what I was thinking I would include:
(1) A listing of some of the meets we discussed:
3 pm Saturday Promenade Lounge
2 pm Sea Days in Cove Cafe
At the Sail Away and Pirates In the Caribbean Party
Etc....
(2) The FE list to include the dis user name, cabin number, adults name, kids name with ages, the number of women/men/girls/boys
(3) The DIS list to include the dis user name, cabin number, adults names, kids name with ages, and any special celebrations
(4) A diagram highlight the rooms participating in the FE Exchange
(5) Space to add in room number changes, etc. and maybe a few other surprises

Any ideas? I'll make copies and have them with me in the terminal and at the Promenade Lounge meet. If you're not able to get one at that time you could just catch up with me and I'll get one to you somehow! :thumbsup2

I think a B&C meet would be a great idea! Kitchen sink anyone??? Actually, since I'm pretty picky about my ice cream I would probably order a single, but heck, what better way to mingle than to do it while delving into some high calorie dessert? We'll probably hit Epcot after dinner so a nightcap meet would work as well.

I've got to hit the shower before AI and I'll be working on my FE gifts while watching.

We have a bit of news... Alison is expecting again. She is supposed to be fine for the cruise as she will be about 3 months along... Grandson Adam (6) is ecstatic and has already put his order in for a sister. :lovestruc

My passport came! :woohoo: My first one! I am ready to leave. It is a pretty great feeling to think I can just buy a ticket to anywhere and hop on the plane. :goodvibes I think I will just keep a bag packed and in the car all the time now...

Did more shopping today with some of the kids and we are getting really close. Hope to get the FE gifts well in hand this weekend. :dance3:

Funny thing is that I booked the kids club tonight but not the hotel! i didn't have enough time to figure out what the difference was between the swan and the dolphin so i'll book in the morning! Do you know the difference? So far, there's only our 4 kids in the club that night but she said that they have turned people away for the last several weeks!

Anyone else in that area that needs a ride? I while back I remember someone posting something but can't remember:confused3

Do all Nordstrom Racks carry the same merchandise? I really like those shoes and am willing to drive to my nearest one.

Laundry is also on deck 2.

We always do 2 loads of laundry on every cruise. In the middle of the cruise. It's amazing how much less you can pack by doing 2 loads of laundry! It's only taken a few cruises to realize that!:rotfl:

I told my husband what happened and he couldn't believe that Disney would allow you to be separated! That would never happen in a hotel! How do they expect your minors to be at the other end of the ship. SO glad it all worked out!!

Hi everyone. Wow I have missed a lot in the past 2 days. I'm doing better, had a set back yesterday but now its good. Hopefully getting off IV's on Friday!!! Slowly gaining use of 3 fingers on the left hand and movement in the other 2.

I'm happy to hear that you are getting better! I'll share my IV story with you on the ship. I was on IV's for 31 weeks during my first pregnancy. THe first 3 or 4 weeks I was in the hospital and then they sent me home for home health care for the rest of it. I loved the nurses but I was so sick of the whole thing! Hang in there!!!

Lynsey - Dempsey rides dirt bikes and races Supercross/Motocross. He has always had a Kawasaki but switched to Honda a few years ago!

I finally bought my first cruise item (yes, I said first:scared1:). I bought a nice black cocktail dress today at Sears! Wouldn't have thought of it but was walking by. If you need a dress, head there. My store had a great clearance section of nice dresses for $9.99! Yes, $9.99! They were cute adult like cocktail dresses. I couldn't find one in my size but if you're looking, you might want to head there. I didn't really need one because I bought one last year that I've only worn once. Oh well! Guess I better focus on clothing and shoes for my entire family because we don't want to be the family that wears the same clothes every day!! :lmao:

I promised you guys that I would post a few of my best cruise tips; however, my battery is about to die. I'm not trying to keep you hanging, I promise! I will try to get them posted tomorrow!

Dogs just love routine! Wilbur always does his on our walks, outside one particular house! I don't know what that house has ever done to him but thats his spot of choice!!!!!!

We are having two weeks in Orlando first, so fly out on May 2nd. Thats only 2 weeks away . . . I feel faint!
 
OK I need help!!!! :confused3

As you know we have got the Disney Med cruise booked for next August. We have never seen much of Europe, so felt this would be a great way of doing it while still getting the Disney Magic each night.

BUT, I have always wanted to see the Disney parks at Christmas. We have agreed next year will be our last holiday for a while as we really need to save up to move house, maybe have a baby etc (all those horrid grown up things!!!).

So I am now torn between the Med cruise, or Disney for 10 nights over Christmas in 2010, and then the 4 night Wonder Cruise (I know they do a special cruise on the Magic over Christmas as well, so that would also be a possibility, along with just 4 nights in the parks).

So . . . should we see Europe which isn't exactly "a dream" but will be nice and is at least something new and different for us to do whilst still being a bit Disney, or should we spend money to come to Florida again (which will be something like the 7th time in 10 years). Is it silly to spend money on the same thing again, just to see a few Christmas trees in the parks?! :confused3

My heart lies with Florida, but I do feel I should see other places!! PLUS - I like the heat, and Florida at Christams won't be that warm, will it?

Any opinions appreciated!!!!!!! :santa:

I've got my work cut out for me. DH is leaving on a business trip Sun for 1 week and we haven't done anything about clothes, etc for the trip yet! (I know-crazy, right?!) :scared: Hopefully in the next few days DS's and I will be shopping:dance3:

On a better note, I upgraded our cabin from a category 7 to a 6 so we now have a new cabin #-we will be in 5630 with DS's in 5629. DH & 1-DS don't know about the upgrade; it's a surprise!

I've got a lot of reading to do on this thread! Hopefully I'll be caught up in the next few days!!!! :surfweb:

I'm so sorry! I can't believe that they aren't willing to move one of your cabins closer to the other... I'd keep going up the food chain and calling them every day. The old "squeeky wheel" thing might just work.

aimathy also has a daughter that is 12. You might PM her and see if she is willing to start a penpal thing going on.

I've been tracking everyone's cabin assignments for the FE and Cruisers list. If you have two cabins and only one is participating, please let me know which cabin I should list so we have it correctly on the list.

Also, if anyone changes cabins (once you've listed it here) let me know so I can update the list. Its really seeming to get closer now...:banana:

When we went on our first DC in November we ordered the DVD.:thumbsup2 My kids have been watching that DVD everyday for the past month. They start it before school they finish it after homework is done. My husband has the horn on his phone. It is nuts in my house everyone has DCL fever. I live in Florida also, I have been working on my tan the weather here has been beautiful.:cool2:
 
Carole: Congratulations on the upcoming grandbaby!!! As for the Botox, it has to be carried/shipped on dry ice and is pretty "delicate." It's alo very expensive, even for the MDs!!! (Like $300 or $525 per vial depending on the size plus costly shipping.) Plus... I'm on vacation!!! (Botox=Work for me!)
Would be nice though... I'm actually going to inject my spider veins myself if I can gather the nerve...

Congratulations to all the have gotten upgrades and for those who didn't, I'm sincerely sorry (but hoping something good comes along for you all)!

I have an odd request for advice. after booking a gty 12 cat a year ago,
we recieved a cat 11 room number over a month ago disney nor our TA knows how it was assigned to us now I get home and get a call from the TA saying we could
drop the cat 11 for a cat 12 gty and take any chances with it. any thoughts on this, any one had a similar experience? thanks

From what I understand, stores from all over randomly send out shipments to the RACK. Rob (my older brother) works for Nordstrom & told me that I can walk into the RACK in Virginia and walk out with a pair of shoes that could have been out of "season" & sent from California! The up side to that is more than once I have purchased something from the RACK at a huge discount & walked right into the main Nordstrom store and they are selling it full price.
***For anyone who doesn't know the RACK is Nordstrom's outlet store***

I would say that it's worth a try! They have so many great buys that your have to end up with a great buy, shoes or no shoes. They certainly had a bunch at our RACK (enough that we found them in 4 different sizes)
They also had white ones with light blue & green flower design like the black ones. Very cute. AND....they were like $35.00!!!

We have 3 Nordstrom RACKS all about 20-30 mins from my house & I've been to them all & find different things at each! If you don't find them, but are sure of your size, I can check the next time I'm out there for you if you'd like.
