Hi everyone

Has anyone read Twilight?! I am half way through it and completely addicted!! Is it wrong to be in love with a human-eating book character?! Anyway, am thinkong of buying the sequels for on vacation . . . are they any good?

They look good. The writing is a bit hard to read since they are not filled in, but they do GLOW! I checked!

Ohh YEY!!!! Can't wait to see them!

Welcome to my Fall 2008 addiction! OMG! I read all 4 books in practically 2 weeks. You should totally get the rest for the trip! They are all good. There are some upsets over the last book, but it's still good. Totally worth the read!

I have re-read the first one again & plan to wait to re-read the2nd, 3rd, and 4th for the trip! I even got a few of my girlfriends just as hooked!
(The movie is not great, but the books are super addictive)

Stephanie wrote a few outtakes & extras for a couple of the books that are great!

When you're done reading the whole series, go back to her site and check out MIDNIGHT SUN!!!! (No peeking!!!!) PRINT IT OUT FOR YOUR TRIP! Long story short, this was a book that Stephanie started writing & it's Twilight from Edward's perspective!!!! It's the best she's written - my fav by FAR. The problem is she gave the first 11 chapters to friends to read and someone leaked it onto the internet. Stephanie was super upset & has vowed that she will not keep writing the book until it is totally forgot about (if then). She did however, post the 1st 11 chapters to be fair to her fans and to keep them from searching the net for it. She is asked about it in EVERY interview she has. There are petitions to show how much people want to read the rest...

OK, I'll stop there. I could go on forever!!! We will chat it up on the ship. Email me if you have any questions or want to chat about it! Tell your hubby that you'll pay attention to him again in a couple weeks. My hubby tells me I was married to the series for about 3 weeks.

Have you heard the story of how the book even started? let me know when you get to chapter 12 & I'll tell you the story that goes with it.

I'll send it to you via Facebook. I have the movie (no the acting is not so great). I really don't like the actress because a) she is a just ok actress & b) she ALWAYS acts like she's so above doing this movie or her fans...I think someone needs to remind her that people tripped over themselves to be in her role & she needs to be a bit more appreciative of her blessings seeing how her paycheck for the next movie is like $10 mil!

Anyway... I can bring the dvd if you want me to so you can see it.

I just finished reading all 4 books about 2 weeks ago. It was still an awesome re-read. Still as hooked as the first time I read them. I feel the same way about the movie. We'll have to talk on the ship!

I will be in the terminal from about 10am -first boarding
After that, my mom (Tink113sMom) will be handing them out at the first cruise meet 3pm. I will be there, but a tad late since I am doing the walking ship tour.

If we don't connect any of those times, I will leave them in my FE outside my stateroom.

I thought it was an extended invitation for others to join on a fishing excursion (you know how other Disers open up their fireworks cruise to others if they have room)! Wow -- can't believe you are just now reading them. In an odd way, I am jealous! They are so amazing. I am re-reading them now (2nd time) and am on the 4th. Amanda is right -- Midnight Sun, wow, what an amazing read but wait until you are done with the 4. They are GREAT GREAT books and yes, Cinda, very very addictive. I have yet to see the movie but will probably NetFlix it for next weekend. We will definitely discuss on the ship!

Is it odd for a 38 year old mother of 2 to be in love with a 17 year old vampire? I would mention my other crush but hey, wouldn't want to ruin the story for you Sonya!

Ok, so was at work today so couldn't post but did try to keep up.

Kym -- you booked the kids club at the swan/dolphin? Does that mean you and Dempsey are going to dinner with us??????

Difference between the two -- Swan is much much smaller and the beds are Queen size versus Double. Downside is the main little cafe is in the Dolphin and there are more restaurants in the Dolphin. My issue is that I have stayed at the Dolphin a few times for conferences and so it has that "conference" feel to me and the last thing I want to feel on my vacation is work! Plus -- I kind of like the idea of the queen size bed.

Yes we are on deck 6 and it seems quite a few of us are!

We are in the middle of the ship (maybe a mistake but figure it will force us to use the stairs) and not too far from the laundry or the mid-ship elevators.

Belinda -- your text message failed today. Did you try to send one? It just said failed message from Belinda.

Sonya -- we are still thinking of the Med. Cruise so can't be a fair judge there for you. I LOVED Crete on our honeymoon and love love love Italy so for me, that would be my choice. Of course if we go, no we will not bring the kids. They are way too young to really appreciate it.

Amanda -- can't wait to see the wristbands!

The cruise is feeling REAL now! I bought the items I need to make our FE gift!!!! AND I spoke to Shirley about baskets for the kids (and Yoni but shhhhhhh). She was very very helpful. Going the Sand Bucket route for the kids and the BEER route for Yoni. She said she would also through in some information on KW for me so I have some ideas on what to do. She thought leaving the kids on the ship and wandering around was a good idea so we may do that.

V -- thanks for your offer but think I decided to just go ahead and let Shirley do it this time so I don't worry about it the first day. This being my first cruise, I think I need to do fewer things and have some time to just ENJOY!

Ok, so started on a rough packing list and I think I will need some expert cruisers help to keep from overpacking. I listed out the kids' clothes and WOW -- packing for 12 days.....how on earth. I am trying to factor in doing laundry but I am not so sure I want to do laundry on the ship. How time consuming is it? Freaking out a bit over all of the stuff I will need to pack!

Alright, off to make dinner but had to check in with my DIS peeps first!

OK I need help!!!!

As you know we have got the Disney Med cruise booked for next August. We have never seen much of Europe, so felt this would be a great way of doing it while still getting the Disney Magic each night.

BUT, I have always wanted to see the Disney parks at Christmas. We have agreed next year will be our last holiday for a while as we really need to save up to move house, maybe have a baby etc (all those horrid grown up things!!!).

So I am now torn between the Med cruise, or Disney for 10 nights over Christmas in 2010, and then the 4 night Wonder Cruise (I know they do a special cruise on the Magic over Christmas as well, so that would also be a possibility, along with just 4 nights in the parks).

So . . . should we see Europe which isn't exactly "a dream" but will be nice and is at least something new and different for us to do whilst still being a bit Disney, or should we spend money to come to Florida again (which will be something like the 7th time in 10 years). Is it silly to spend money on the same thing again, just to see a few Christmas trees in the parks?!

My heart lies with Florida, but I do feel I should see other places!! PLUS - I like the heat, and Florida at Christams won't be that warm, will it?

Any opinions appreciated!!!!!!!

I agree about Florida, I love the heat and I have been in December and January and it really is hit and miss with the warm weather....Disney does do Christmas right!! We went to the MVMCP last year and I loved it even though it was soo cold. The Med cruise on the other hand...might be awhile until they go back to the Med...not sure when the next time will be....so I guess that I am not that much help, am I? Either way, you will have a great time.

I am a chronic overpacker so I will be curious to see what you are doing here to stop this from happening. I think Kym said she does laundry and that might be something I have to do too.....I am hopeless with the packing. Just hopeless.

Today was a long day at work, started early and am just wiped now. 27 days until we leave for our vacation!! I haven't started packing at all, will probably start when I switch my winter clothes and spring clothes in the next 2 weeks.

Go for it but I will warn you that if you take it with you on the cruise you will read the entire time. I don't know what it is about this series but I am so addicted. I've read all four, Midnight sun and everything else I could find. There are a few other short stories on Stephanie Meyes website from a few of the other characters. I've even read her other book "The Host" but it was just ok. You wont be dissapointed.
