So weired feel like it's a bad dream.I guess i just have to wait until on the boat. I really think this is terrible. Do you think i'm over reacting? I feel so let down by DCL and my TA. They blame DC.

I feel so bad for you, Crystal. I can't believe that just linking our ressies has caused this. I don't think you're overreacting at all. I'd be just as upset, too. I don't get to the main board a whole lot anymore (only a couple times a week lately), but have you posted a Q there to see if anyone else has had the same experience? Maybe some of the more seasoned veteran cruisers can help you out somehow with ideas, etc.

actually that was our first and only trip together there.

we have been 4 times and they have been 3.

we go again in sept and they just came back in mar09.

we origianlly went in 89 so this one was a welcome back trip.

Very happy for everyone who got upgraded! Am so glad you have all got room numbers now, as I need them for my fish extender gifts! Speaking of which, they arrived today! I am so excited! Am going to spend tonight putting them together instead of exercising the easter eggs off ! We are in 2578 so very close to lots of you!

So, happens everytime, printed and laminated all my itinery cards yesterday . . . today Tony wants a change of plan! Men! Apparently we are going on a Segway ride around Celebration now. I nearly died on the Segway tour at Epcot (skidded down a hill backwards on it, screaming my head off, with everyone else jumping off their segways to get out of the way), so have some trepedation about this!

Urm, do category 9's ever get upgraded, I am feeling a little left out!!!!!!!!

ETA - did you have the 18yr old as the primary on that cabin? It probably doesn't list his age with DCL does it? Wonder if they just assumed it was a parent or something.

I was just on the DCL website and 4-12 cat's are showing. I only put in for 2 adults. So if they get more cat 12's booked people still may get upgraded.

Yes it looks like that other site is updated as well. They are now advertising CAT12-9 as GTY and have roughly the same #'s available in the other CATs as I posted earlier. So it looks like there may be opportunity for more upgrades.

This may also be what is hurting Crystal's situation with CAT 11's being in GTY status now.

I finally may of got this state room thing almost resolved. I just have to have Tiffany call her TA to have her call DC to speak w/ Jessie a supervisor and let her know its ok to switch rooms. I hope we can work this out befor the cruise,I hate to have the wrong rm # on luggage and such. So I just have to wait until she gets home from work. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
I guess you do have to find the wright person to speak with.

Does this mean that the staterooms we got could be changed? Like someone who did not get upgraded from a cat 12, could be

Someone who got upgraded to a 10, could still end up in a 9, etc...

When do we know for sure? I guess I have heard of people being upgraded at port, but what happens with luggage and all?

SONYA - no worries! Your upgrade could still happen. In Dec 07, we booked a cat 9 & Disney called us to tell us that they wanted to "sell" our room and upgraded us to a cat 7!

Radisson pool it is then! I'll try my best to be there around 9 or slightly after depending on the timing of our dinner. I just thought several of us would be there anyway, so why not meet?!?

Crystal: Hope things go well for you during your call tonight!

Sonyia: On our other Disney cruise, we booked a guarentee room Cat.9 and got a Cat. 6 HUGE room with an aft balcony! (6654 to be exact!) So....it can happen. I think the key to upgrades is the "guarentee" thing though. We've never been upgraded when booking a certain room number.
