I would love some help on exactly which meals are on which night. Each time I think I have it figured out, I read something different somewhere else. I know you all have all this down, and I appreciate any help you can give. Specifically:
Which night is pirate night (I find conflicting info: day 4, grand cayman, or day 5, cozumel?)
It seems there are up to four or five other meals where all restaurants share the same menu: Golden Mickeys? Master Chef? Captains Favorites? (and, of course, Magic Begins on the first night and Till we Meet Again on the last night). What about those first three, do we have those three meals, and if so, on what nights?
I may be way off, so set me straight! Thanks

Here's what I think is right. The one thing to remember is that things on a cruise can change on a dime (weather changes, menu changes, etc.), so don't set any plans in such stone that you will be angry and disappointed.:

Saturday:Rotation Dinner 1
Sunday: Rotation Dinner 2
Monday: Formal Dinner (Golden Mickeys I think)
Tuesday:Rotation Dinner 3
Wednesday: Pirate Dinner
Thursday: Formal Dinner with Lobster offered
Friday: Farewell Dinner

DH is always trying to get me to go to kareoke with him but I never do. I am really a shy person and he is the outgoing one. Who knows, maybe after our margarita tasting night I might get the courage to try it.

Absolutely! If you want I'll wait for a little while longer on calling to see if you can get first dining. Even if we all can't get at the same table hopefully we will at least be close together!. I'm also planning on requesting the last seating of the main dining rotation as long as that's ok with everyone!

I didn't know that some of the excursions in GC we're run by DCL? I thought they we're all run by outside vendors?

How do I look online and see which one's do and don't?

All of the excursions are run by outside vendors (I think) BUT the ones you book through DCL are guaranteed to get you back on the ship and have been checked out by Disney. With GC being a tender port, I figured I am better off on a Disney sponsored excursion than a non-disney one. That being said, in Cozumel, we are going to Nochi Cocum on our own but my DH is with me then so not so worried about the 4 of us getting split up!

I must say that the Key Lime pie at Publix is really good ! Whenever we are at WDW and have a fridge in our room (and access to Publix ), we always get a whole Key Lime pie from there. Just like I did when we spent a week in Key West, I would have a slice of pie every morning for breakfast (yes, I have a "bit" of a sweet tooth ). I had the chocolate dipped on a stick on our western cruise almost 5 years ago and all I can say is mmmmmmmmmm . It does have more of a cheesecake texture. I can't wait!!

Yummy! If we were getting in earlier on Thursday night I would stop off at Publix and buy one. Of course no one else in my family may eat it and I am guessing it isn't good to put on 5 lbs BEFORE the cruise?

Ok, so add us to the list of people whom have never tried KLP! The funny thing is I love limes!!! But I also love chocolate so whenever we go somewhere for dessert, I always get a fudgy somethng.

I can't believe the money we have spent to go on this cruise and instead of thinking about sailing off into the sunset...I'm most excited thinking about trying my first chocolate covered KLP on a stick!!

I am with you. KLP wasn't even on our radar when we booked the cruise. It is all Val's fault! Now, I am ready to focus our entire trip to KW on KLP! Of course Yoni (my DH) does not know my plan so shhhhhhhh.....

Jordan, I sent our reservation number to Lynsday (Disgirl83). She's going to call and try to link us up, so you might want to PM her with your reservation number and full names! That will be fun!

The stingrays are very overwhelming, so you made the right decision to change to the pirates instead! I think the environment at CC is way better for a first time ray experience. We were a little scared ourselves with the DCL stingray excursion in GC and found the experience kind of miserable because of all of the screaming children in the group... They are HUGE and kind of "swarm" you when you first get into the water!

Mati...since you may get early dinner, want to link up? I don't know if we can all get one table, but we could probably be in the same area near each other! If you want to, let Lindsay know as she said she would be glad to call. I just PM'ed her our reservation number and full names...

You guys are so awesome. We were sitting outside tonight, and I was going on and on about all of you. Like I said above, I have no desire to cramp your style. If we can at least be close together, that would be great and then I wouldn't worry about ruining your dinner! Being one of the childless couples....I don't mind kids at all. BUT it is my hubbys first Disney Cruise and he thinks there will be kids climbing the walls everywhere. So I kinda wanted some quieter dining mates. It's actually our last BIG HOORAH before we start our own family! haha Just wanted some quiet time....That would be awesome if we are all near each other though!

I do tend to have what my friends call "***** face". I may look unhappy or non-approachable. I'm actually really friendly...if at all it'll only take me a few minutes to warm up. (Helps that when I grew up I moved a lot, so I HAD to learn to make friends) Feel free to say hi or chat or whatever anytime!

Right now we have 25 cabins in the FE group. JorDan I can add you to the distribution list just let me know your email address. I normally send out updates once a week.

I love the survey idea but way to tired tonight to give good answers. We spent the evening at the accountants and while we have to pay the state, the amount is fairly small (in comparison to previous years) and we will be getting a substantial refund from the Fed.

We'll just be putting that straight into the savings account in case the unthinkable happens and I get laid off.

Val - thanks so much for fixing our picture. I'm not sure what happened with my copy & paste. As Jim would say there was an issue somewhere between the computer and the chair....

JorDan -- I appreciate your honesty!!!! It makes me smile because, if we were traveling without kids, I would NOT want kids at our table! If I know my kids well, they will only be with us for the first hour (at most) of dinner and then be asking to go to the club. I would love to sit close to you guys for those moments when the kids leave and we can try to act like we are just normal people and not "Mommy & Daddy" for once.

You are cracking me up this morning!!!! My husband has what I call "Finnish face" which interprets to "MEAN face". If you have ever seen any Finns on tv, they have this perpetual scowl on their face (e.g. Stefan on Top Chef or some of the poker players if you watch that). My husband has that. He looks MAD, MEAN, & GRUMPY BUT -- he can't help it -- that is just his Finnish Face! He is actually the nicest guy once you know him so....when you see him, please don't think he is mad at you or unapproachable. That's why I try to incorporate as many names in my posts as possible. If I write to you as texfinn instead of Mati, that's how I'll remember you. I really don't think you want me spotting you across the terminal and yell "HEY TEXFINN!! OVER HERE, TEXFINN!! HEY, IT'S ME, HUDSON5&LENNON3!!!" Naaaaaah. Just doesn't "flow" well.

But I agree that we need more pics posted!! (Yes, I will be studying names & faces so I have them all memorized by cruise time.)

What in the world are they thinking with Tatiana?!?! Seriously!! Is it just a ratings ploy? I like the 3 that were voted into the top 12 last night, but I thought Ju'Not did well enough to get into the wild card--much better than Ricky or Von or several others whom I can't even recall their names (kinky-haired tattoo girl, etc.). Anyway, I'm wondering how they'll do this and not make me mad. They always have had an even # of guys & girls in the top 12 (or top 10 back in the day), and it drives me crazy because if someone is good but got cut because of having to "fit the numbers in," it's just not fair! So now after voting for 3 weeks, we have 3 girls & 6 guys. Does this mean the 3 wild cards will be all girls just to "get the numbers right?" I so hope not. Anoop definitely should be there, and I think Jasmine is the only girl that should go through. My other pick is Jamar Rogers (Danny's friend that never even made it to the top 36!!!!) Yeah, I know it's impossible, but that's just my thoughts...

We spent the evening at the accountants and while we have to pay the state, the amount is fairly small (in comparison to previous years) and we will be getting a substantial refund from the Fed.

Jane, that is GREAT! I've been procrastinating the tax appt just because I know it isn't going to be good. With Justin's business, it's just a roller coaster of taxes. It always alternates for us--one year we get a bunch back and the next year we pay in a bunch more. Unfortunately, this is the year to pay in.

I'm going to be dreaming about FKLP. We will be hitting Publix and I will be getting a pie for our fridge! Will it be in the freezer section or in the bakery section? So wish I had some now...

I would assume the bakery, but I'm not sure. I guess we better figure out where the Publix is! We'll be renting an electric car, so if it's too far away, we can just drive there to pick some up for everybody!

Amanda!! I was wondering where you've been!! I didn't realize how much I relied on those emails until I wasn't getting them either. Sometimes I would just read the reply in the email and not actually click the link, and it seemed like that was when I stopped getting them, so now I always make a point to click the link when a new one pops up in my inbox.


Well, now I'll be MIA for the rest of the day (unless my obsession continues to take over my will power to stay away!). Why does work have to interfere with my DIS addiction?!?! It's not fair!!

I just got this back from my TA. Sounds like if you have a category better then a 12 you have a shot. However, you would have to cancel & re-book, so you would have to pay cancellation fees.

Just wanted to keep everyone updated. My TA has been pretty great so far!

I just checked again with a supervisor at Disney, the first one said that it wasn’t applicable based on the information they sent me

The second said it is showing up available online as you said and I checked but the problem is that the category 12 you are in is not available with this promotion and you would have to book a category 11 which would end up being a higher price then you currently are paying. Also the offer is only for NEW bookings and you would have to cancel and rebook meaning you would be in cancellation penalty and you would lose any Palo or shore excursions you have booked.

What you currently have is a better deal!
