LOL... Scottie is on the cruise meets for the cruise we were "originally" booked on. That is the same company that I looked into. The only difference is that I opted for the style that has the letters filled in with color (white) so it's easier to read.

Not sure about Europe, but in the US, these bands have been used for all kinds of fund raising efforts (Donate & get a band to show your support). They are super popular for guys & girls alike. Celebs sport them all the time. Lance Armstrong started the rage with his yellow wrist band (google it) and then everyone had to have one. Really it's the 1st beneficial trend since you have to donate to get one.

I don't think too man guys will care... most college guys around here sport one every day.

Also for the wrist bands....I have a tiny wrist so I would have said Teen size...but then it won't fit my hubby. (Which he wouldn't mind )
Maybe just get an adult size???

ALSO------ GOOD DEAL ALERT--------

I was just at my local Target, go check out their dollar bins (if yours has one). I found a Hannah Montana white board that you can hang on your door for messages.
Also, for $2.50 they had travel neck pillows! Since we have a long flight, they are perfect to use for a quick nap!

Sorry...can't participate in this survey. I haven't been to the parks and so cannot comment on any of them.

The only difference is that I opted for the style that has the letters filled in with color (white) so it's easier to read.

I think colored letters would make it easier to read! I noticed in the pics on that other thread that they are all caps but only the actual capitalized letters are bigger. (Does that make sense? Similar to "MAGIC")

I think I'll have an easier time getting him to wear this (at least for a short time) than a T shirt! Besides, once everyone sees him once, they'll be able to recognize him anywhere...his beard makes him stand out in a crowd.

***********Fuel Surcharge Deducation!!!******************

I just talked to DCL about my reservation. It seems that starting January DCL has STOPPED charging a fuel charge. For those of you who have booked cruises before January, you will be receiving an onboard credit!!! You can call DCL and ask about how much credit you'll be receiving when you cruise for the Fuel charge.

WARNING- you do NOT have to rebook your cruise to receive the Onboard credit. Everyone will receive it who booked before January. Some people received $119 back!!!!

Tink I would love to have a wrist band.
Val I have the same all wrist illness. I will wear whichever size we decide to order but if I have a choice the child/teen size would work best for me and my son and brother.

All together we family will need five 2 adults and 3 kids.

Sonya (sorry about my spelling) thinks Soterro and I'm thinking Allure bridals...so you have to tell us! I had an Allure dress and it was similar with the applique in the lower front and beadwork. If it is an Allure, you will LOVE it!

Tink: We'll take 2 adult bracelets. Even if Adam won't wear it, I'll still buy him one! (He's worth a couple of bucks... )

Since everyone else is starting to get their FEs, I'm hoping to get our in the next couple of weeks! Ours is from the "mommy" as well, so hopefully we are at least moving up the list!

I agree with V that we probably should choose a FE group end date so we can get things together. I have mine pretty much done, but if we go above 28 rooms, I'll have to make more! What does everyone think about ending group inclusion around April 1? Sonya is leaving 2 weeks befre the cruise, so folks with a lot of travel probably need the time!

HI Everyone! I'll start working on the list for dinner links and for the tastings tomorrow. It has been a rough day -- Yoni found out he is most likely losing his job in a couple of weeks. He has a STRONG lead on a new job so hopefully that will come through but needless to say, it has been a stressful day and just ready to crawl into bed. One thing is for sure -- I am so glad the cruise is PIF because we are going no matter what happens and I think by then, I will NEED the vacation!

Ok, enough whining -- on another topic -- Jaime, Kym, Tammy, Sabrina hasn't written anyone because she has been in a ton of trouble and not allowed to use the computer. Hopefully she will earn it back tomorrow (for the weekend) and I'll let her write to Jalen, Carissa & Faith after school.

I think I will bury myself in reading posts, TR and facebook pages -- and JorDan's blog!

Hey guys... I know there has been lots of talk about how to spot our fellow DISers on the ship.

I know we talked about lanyards, but if you are a repeat cruiser you will get those from Disney (and who needs two lanyards anyway???)

......If everyone likes the idea, we can vote on the messages, fonts, etc.. I'm thinking that the bracelets should be DIS neon green.
Depending on how many people are in, I will divide the price (either for 100, or 200) by the number of people who are interested and that will be the cost of each bracelet.

There is also the option to get printed wrist bands (about $0.20 cheaper), but 2nd message & i think it would be nice to out the date on the inside.

I was just PM'ing Belinda about how I hope we all stay in touch after the cruise. We tried that on our last cruise thread, but it didn't last too much longer after the cruise ended. I still think of them often and have them in my scrapbook. I know you guys will all be in my next one, too!!

I'm so glad I have cyberfriends, too. Okay, you really are strangers, but it sure doesn't feel like it.

Ok, I with you Val -- I am thinking that we will just have to all book another cruise together!!! That way, we will definitely stay in touch!!!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your stress with yoni's job. It's hitting everyone lately. My sister-in-law (on our cruise) is facing the same thing and has been looking since Jan! One of my best friends just lost her job & she is a single mother of 2 with a brand new mortgage from the home she bought a few months ago.

Thanks Amanda. It is stories like these that make me realize how blessed we are. I have a good job, we are in great financial shape and Yoni even has a good lead on a new job. Worst case for us is we have to tighten our belts a bit and Yoni has to play "house-husband" for awhile -but we are certainly not in your best friend's situation. My prayers and thoughts are with her and your sister-in-law.

Well, for anyone wanting a KLP recipe, I JUST got this in my inbox from Betty Crocker (I'm on their recipe email list):

The one that I've tried making doesn't have nearly as many ingredients and is, therefore, a bit less expensive (and easier!) to make but didn't quite taste like I wanted it to (however, I use the same recipe for a regular cheesecake that is TO DIE FOR but substitute lemon juice instead of key lime juice).

two 8 oz pkgs cream cheese (I prefer low fat)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
3 T. fresh key lime juice

Mix together and pour into prepared graham crust. Refrigerate until set.

Amanda -- LOVE it! Put us down for 2 adults and 2 kids. Unfortunately, I am built like a linebacker so no tiny wrist for me but umm...now I do know who NOT to stand next to for pictures!!!!

Is there a way to make the bracelets smaller for the kids if we only get one size? I am good either way......as long as it goes around my BIG wrist.

Crystal -- thank you. One blessing we have is that we have the cruise PIF (and even the RES) along with flights, etc. We may just be bringing more wine/beer onboard with us than we originally thought -- not exactly a hardship. Also toying with the idea of skipping the parks before the cruise to save on tickets. We'll see. I really do believe his job will pan out and if it does, I promise to celebrate with all of you on the cruise!!!!!!
